[ There is someone in you're house. They're coming for you. The power goes out. And what do you do? ]
Click. Blink. The lights go out.
"A power failure!" I do shout.
Suddenly, paranoia falls;
What if that is not it at all?
What if there is someone waiting?
Behind wall or behind grating?
What if they wish of me
Something terrible no one should see.
A patter of feet?
Was that the beat?
Chopping, slicing, bleeding, cleaving!
Ripping, tearing, biting, eating!
Let me out! My life can't crack!
And with that ...the power's back
