This topic is for any members to ask about the guild! Fellow members can reply and help others, and us crew people will broaden the horizons. Ask away! smile
In this thread, you will also find a brief introduction for the crew members. We ask that you please do not introduce yourself in this thread, but here: Introduce Yourself! Thank you! biggrin

 Renkon Root
Please, call me Renkon or just Ren.
I am here to help you. If you have a question about the guild, please do not hesitate to ask. Either here in the Q&A thread, or if its a sensitive issue you may PM me (just be sure to put "FanFiction Guild" in the subject so that I have an idea of what its regarding).
I want to make this guild a fun and helpful place for all writers of fan fiction. If there's something you'd like advice or feedback on, just ask. Also, if there's a resource thread you'd like to see here in the guild, just say so and I'll see what I can do. I want to make this guild as much a source to aid writing as it is a place to discuss fan fiction.

I have a question. I currently have some of my fan fictions posted in the Gaia Arena. Is it okay if I can link the stories from the arena here? or is it strictly ff.net?

Hannah Yeager I have a question. I currently have some of my fan fictions posted in the Gaia Arena. Is it okay if I can link the stories from the arena here? or is it strictly ff.net? We do allow for individual stories to be advertised within the specific sub-forums to which they belong. A Naruto fic in the anime sub-forum, a Harry Potter fic in the books sub-forum, etc.
So long as you place your advertisement(s) for your stories in the appropriate sub-forum(s) I do not have a problem with it.

I have a question about the contest. What are the entries going to be based off of as a whole? Like is there going to be a point system where you earn points for things like creativity, grammar, etc., or are they just going to be posted and put up for voting? Also how are the entries to be submitted?

Winner will be decided by popular vote. There will also be a second place winner decided by the guild staff.
To submit your entry, please post your story or a link to your story in the contest thread. (Please keep in mind that stories with publish dates prior to the contest announcement will not be accepted.)

I also have a question about the contest. I read the main announcement page for the contest that had all the rules and whatnot. Below where it says "This month's theme is freedom", it also says "Basically it can mean any type of freedom: patriotic, symbolic, etc." I just want to clear this up before I start writing-- Is it all right to use abuse as a type of freedom? I will make sure to keep it rated T, but I'm not really a good writer of patriotic freedom and whatnot. sweatdrop

Yes, that's fine. As long as its rated K-T then it should be fine. smile

I had a quick question regarding where to post the story for the contest. Would it be okay to post a link to the story on FF.net on the thread or just post the story on the thread itself? Was just curious.

You may do either. Whichever you are more comfortable with.
Just be aware that stories with publish dates prior to July 1st will not be accepted.

I have a question about the contest. Does it have to be about gaining freedom? Or can it be about celebrating freedom?
