Taking long strides, Kamala wasn't really used to being outside his pride. In the past, he had rarely left it to even hunt, but now he was wandering off for an undetermined amount of time. He wasn't leaving permanently; no, he was just rather...curious about it, really.

All his life he had pretty much lazed around the pride lands, being quite content in laying by the hidden pools of water in the depths of the pride lands. He had never been one for crowds, or even just a small cluster of lions. He enjoyed pride life, but it just took too much energy if he had to be surrounded all the time, so he often slipped away to a nice reclusive area to sit with his thoughts. It was always nice, though, when he was stumbled upon by another, having a small conversation. At that level, he was fine.

That's probably what made him want to come out and see the open rogue lands for himself. He had heard from others that it was a lonely life; but that was kind of what Kamala had been living up til then. He also wanted some time away from the pride, so he could return to it with a lightened heart. After the Goddess left, and all those changes occurred, he wasn't too sure what he was to do about all of it.

With every step, Tuuli couldn't quite shake her last conversation from her mind. She had never even given the thought of a family a moment in her mind; to her, she wasn't ready for that kind of thing in her life. But the leopardess had really made her think about the whole idea a lot more. They were about the same age, and yet Tuuli's life seemed like a feather floating in the wind; you never know when it's going to finally hit the ground. But the leopardess already had someone she cared deeply for, and they were preparing to bring a family into the world. It was really a surreal conversation.

But for now, she had decided to press on. She thought that maybe some walking and moving would distract her from it; though, her own words of 'spontaneity' kept resounding through her head. What if something sudden did happen? What if she met someone and made the decision, right then and there? It made her heart sink into her stomach, but she didn't know whether it was a good sinking feeling or a bad one. It kind of scared her, honestly, to think that such a life-changing decision could happen in the blink of an eye, all because a fated encounter.

Glancing up, she tried to see if the scenery would take her from her thoughts for a moment. As soon as she did, that sinking feeling returned in an instant. There, not too far off, was the familiar lion shape - in a strikingly bright red. What made her stomach sink, though, was the fact that she knew it was a male because of the contrasting white mane that wrapped around his head.

Flipping his mane to the side, Kamala was trying to keep most of his vision unobstructed. Well, as much as he could, given his 'flowers' that were always present. He had grown quite attached to them, to the point of fearing whether they'd disappear after the Goddess left. He had heard of others who lost 'oddities,' or things that made them special, and it really worried him at the time. His flowers had become almost a friend, since he was alone most of the time.

In doing so, though, his golden eyes spotted another creature, with red speckling its coat. Huh, kind of a nice coincidence, them both bearing red pelts. Kamala had always liked the color; not just because it was the primary color on his own body, but he thought there was just something striking and passionate about it, like it could express or represent anything just perfectly.

At first, he was wondering whether or not he should continue to approach it and make a day of the encounter; this was, after all, his first day out, and it'd be such a waste if ended up spending it all by himself. Though he was an adult, Kamala was still rather shy, though, and a little awkward, so he was a little nervous about the whole thing. But at this point, it was probably pretty obvious that he had stopped and started staring at her, so the two meeting was a bit inevitable.

Watching him now, she knew immediately when their eyes met. He had kept walking for longer than expected, and now they were at an awkward distance. Really, the situation made her laugh a little, as they were both obviously unsure as to how to proceed with this. She was still very much aware of the feeling in her stomach, but she really didn't want that to make this encounter a bad one just because of an odd feeling she had. Besides, his mind was probably miles away on the issue. Well, she hoped, at least.

Carefully taking each step forward, she pushed most of her worries aside, putting up a smile for the on-coming male. "Um...hello there." Coming closer, she gave him a good look-over before she got too close; his body was large, with large paws. She was quite fascinated with his markings, too, and his eyes were nothing less than enchanting. For his size, he looked rather young - around her own age, in fact, if not a bit younger. It was surprising that he looked so much older from afar. Just one of those life experiences, she guessed.

"I guess we're to the point of finally saying something to one another, right?" Giggling a little, Tuuli tried to lighten the mood a little, coming within a few feet of him after deeming him trustworthy.

So far, Kamala hadn't really noticed that it had actually been rather awkward for the other party as well. Most of the time, he thought everyone else was much more confident than he, and most of his thoughts were just in his own head. But as she approached, and he saw her smile so gently at him, he couldn't help but get a little fidgety. Now, she was the one approaching him, so it made things a little easier as far as that goes.

Watching her, he felt even more uneasy. She was, well, pretty. Her spotted pelt, her slender body, her sparkling red eyes - he felt like a cub looking at his first kill. It was odd, and he wasn't really sure if it was the most proper thing to think about, especially since this was their first meeting.

"I...I suppose, yeah." Letting out a laugh, his voice was rough, but young, and his inexperience probably showed. "It's a shame that it feels a little...awkward. Though, it's probably just me." Grinning shyly, he tried to focus on her face, but his flowers kept popping up, so his eyes twitched back and forth to compensate.

"Oh, so you feel that too?" Letting out a slight snicker, Tuuli thought it was pretty hysterical that they were essentially feeling the same thing coming into this; it seemed pretty pointless even feeling that way, now.

"Well then, I guess there's no point in keeping that up, huh?" Twisting her tail around her back leg, she couldn't really help but stare at him now. "You know, you have the prettiest eyes I've ever seen." Tilting her head to the side slightly, she was quite captivated. Maybe this was how those 'spontaneous things' happened; everyone's eyes were just too dang pretty.

"My name is Tuuli, by the way." Brushing a paw forward, she unconsciously pushed one of her shoulders forward in an adolescent 'cute' way. What was going on?

Oh goodness. Oh goodness. If Kamala hadn't been completely red in color, his face would have lit up immediately as she came closer to him. Her eyes seemed to glimmer as she looked at him, and the fact that she was staring straight into his consciously made him pretty self-conscious.

"I-I suppose not, no." Looking down at his paws, Kamala felt a little small, even though he was definitely larger in size to this female. He really didn't know what to do; he had never had much experience with girls his own age, mostly because he was fairly reclusive. "But, um, thank you. I think...you're the prettiest...I've ever seen." His tongue stumbled a bit at first, but he quickly decided that he should at least try to be as confident as she seemed to be. Taking in a deep breath, he brought his head up abruptly, giving her a shy smile.

"I'm Kamala." Blinking a few times, his flowers had increased in number drastically; probably due to his nerves.

Although Tuuli was fairly certain that both she and this lion in front of her were about the same age, his uncertainty and awkwardness almost made it seem like she was some sort of old lioness creeping on fresh young boys. Maybe it was just because Tuuli had been out and about in the world, interacting with so many others that she was a bit more confident in this area.

"Ah-!" A bit taken aback by his sudden compliment and confidence, Tuuli couldn't quite keep the smile off her face. No one had ever really said that about her, and it thrilled her to no end that it came from a guy like him. "Oh, Kamala, you really are quite the charmer." Her voice was soft, and she glanced nervously at him. His looks, along with his sweet personality - Tuuli knew that she was probably in trouble.

"You don't...quite seem like you're from anywhere near here. Is that the case, or am I just way off base?"

Kamala couldn't help but smile a little as he watched her reaction. It was reassuring to know that his attempt was working how he wanted it to.

"I guess...if I put my mind to it, I can be." Turning his head a little, Kamala grinned at her mischievously. Though on the surface he was trying to appear as confident as can be - mostly because he really believed that that's what it would take to get the attention and impress a girl like Tuuli - beneath all that his nerves were shaking and he felt like his heart was going to explode.

"Honestly, no, I'm not from a scene like this." He was referring mostly to the 'rogue scene'; even though he spent much of his time in his pride by himself, he was still very much oriented towards it. "You know, Tuuli," Taking another step towards her, he thought he'd try a 'close-contact' tactic at impressing her. "you could stick by my side for a little while, if you'd like. Help me out while I stumble around like a lost little cub?" Eyes a little wide, his anxiety and nerves were slowly slipping through the confident front he had put up. For a moment, it was quite clear that he was still the same as that initial nervous wreck she had run into.

It was really rather funny, actually, watching Kamala. On so many levels, he was pretty adorable. Tuuli really liked the fact that he was trying to be like this for her, which was something that really drew her in.

"So then if you're not from this scene, then I assume that you're from a pride somewhere." Trying to not get obviously side-tracked, Tuuli tried her best to keep some form of conversation going. Otherwise, she was fairly certain that the two would end up walking in circles around each other, just staring for hours on end.

Pausing for a moment, Tuuli flicked her eyes up towards the sky, as if she really had to think about answering him. Hey, if he was going to play with her, she was going to have a little fun with him as well. Looking back at him, she could see the almost innocent pleading look in his eyes; she was actually a little relieved to know that it was still that same lion as before. "Well...alright then, pride-boy. I'll show you the ropes of being out-and-about on your own."

At this point, Kamala was pretty much overjoyed. Not only was he able to get this girl's attention, he was able to convince her to tag along with him as he wandered about. Having an amazingly pretty tour-guide? Check please.

"I think...we could talk a bit more about me on our way, yeah?" He didn't really intend to say anything about his pride; he just couldn't. But for now, dancing around the question seemed like the best idea. "But I'd much rather hear about you, Tuuli." Walking a little past her, he mustered all of his courage to let his tail linger around her back leg, urging her to follow him. He was excited to have someone to talk to; the added bonus now was that he was actually fairly interested in this conversation partner.

Thinking about it only for a moment, Tuuli was justifying her interest in going with him with her love of seeing others' lives and points of views. Yeah, that was definitely why she was going with him. He was just so...captivating, that she took an extra interest in his life. Definitely.

"Okay, we can share life stories then." Giggling a little, she sounded a little sarcastic, but part of it was sincere. She didn't really know how long this little adventure in her life was going to last, so she thought she might as well make the best of it.

Feeling his soft tail run by her, tingles went running up her spine. As she turned to follow, she tried to make sure that this feeling would remain imprinted in her throughout her life.
