So I don't remember the last time I posted in here, I am bad at keeping up on guilds, anyways I decided about a month ago I was going to replay my Fire Emblem: Dragon Shadow. So, I started a new game on H3 and played through one stage a day and yesterday I was going to do the end game, but when I turned on my DS, a little message box popped up and said something like "a memory file is corrupt it will now be deleted." And of course with my luck it was the H# file I have been working on forever not the other two old files that I totally never ever used. Anyways, this was the worst Fire Emblem problem I have ever had, even worse then when my mom decided to "clean up" my computer and accidentally deleted my Fire Emblem: Fuuin no Tsurug. Considering that I really am not that good at the game and I probably will never play through that again tough, and I am not even going to try Fiendish. . . ever. Buuuut yeah, please ignore my grammar, I swear I write well when I am doing it for a grade but I get lazy on the internet~

I totally feel your pain. My Blazing Sword data has been completely erased twice. And I don't mean just single files. I mean the entire cartridge has been wiped clean. No battle records, no ability to do hard mode, starting right back at the beginning. I blame my friend's DS: I lent FE7 to her twice, and her DS ate the data... for some reason. Either way, I made her trudge through Lyn easy mode while I did homework. I have never had that problem again since I stopped lending it out. I've also had FE6 data disappear, but I had stopped playing it anyway and I didn't really care. If I was to pick it up again, I probably would start over anyway. You gonna go back and do Shadow Dragon H3 again?

Welcome back, in any case!

I once had a Radiant Dawn file I was VERY close to finishing get wiped by a friend due to a controller misunderstanding. I can sink a LOT of hours into a runthrough for that game. And I'd bothered to raise characters I would never bother with normally because they're not just inferior, but I don't generally care about them, but added diversity to my game (getting Rolf to Marksman takes far too long for no notable payoff for me). Not as bad as getting an entire cartridge wiped, but disappointing all the same.

And indeed, welcome back.

How does your mother accidentally delete a .gba file?

I want to echo Gale's statement. I can't believe a parent can see a .gba file, go "WELP, THIS IS TRASH" and delete it. o.o Or why your mother would be going through your computer to begin with.

My sympathies nonetheless. I've never had issues with Fire Emblem data being lost, but I used to play a game called Shining Force II: The Sword of Hajya, and it always used to delete our files. Like, all of them. With the perspective of being older and actually being smart, I'm pretty sure now that it was due to the internal battery in the GameGear cartridge going old. All I know is that if you took it out of the system, it had a better chance of locking up upon starting it when you put it back in. The only way to fix it (that we knew at the time) was to blow in it, and then all the files would be gone when it worked again. Anna once caused a wipe right before my brother could beat the final boss. He was maaad...

I am sorry you guys, normally I would reply to each and every individual with his or her own post, however, my internet has been out for a little over 10 days. I want to thank you for all your sympathies. And yeah I have no idea why my mom deleted that file, but as for why she was on my computer, she said since I live under her roof she has a right to go through it. Fortunately, she has stopped doing that.
