Remus Report 1 I've always considered myself an intellectual - always. But what I saw that day dumbfounded even me. It left me speechless, unable to comprehend what I was seeing. It went beyond reason; that creature of darkness, by all scientific means, it shouldn't exist, but it did. It was evil, dark, cruel, almost...heartless. As if that weren't enough, the creature was quickly killed by a man wielding a giant key. Of all things, a key? Something didn't sit right, and the only witnesses to what had happened were myself and my best friend, Lenzus. Lenzus- What can I say, the man was my equal in every way. We both had a fanatical interest in the sciences, and we both went through any means for the sake of our research. There wasn't any other man I would've rather had at my side. We were like brothers, the two of us. And at the intrepid age of fifteen, we witnessed a monster attacking Radiant Garden, our home, and then quickly being slayed by a man with a key. It was an event that would mark us for the rest of our lives and set us down a path that neither of us dared turn away from.

Remus Report 2 Lenzus and I began frantically researching the events we witnessed. What was that creature of darkness, and who was that man with the key? We became obsessed in our pursuit for the truth. However, our research produced no results. Any regular person would've given up at that point. But we were different, we didn't know how to say no. And so, we spent the next 3 years researching. It wasn't until Lenzus dawned on something that our research began to press forward. Lenzus had an idea, he thought; what if they were from another world? From that point, our whole view of things changed. The very idea that there could be other worlds was ridiculous - but it excited us beyond belief. Because if there were other worlds, then the possibility existed that we could travel to these other worlds. But first we had to figure out what had drawn the creature of darkness to Radiant Garden.
We deduced that since the creature seemed to originate from darkness, it was darkness that attracted it- and what could be darker than the human heart? Sure, it was entirely hypothetical, but it was all we had to run with. Lenzus and I were willing to go through any means necessary to accomplish our research- any. We began taking people off the streets; thugs, homeless, criminals, anyone that we thought would have sufficient darkness in their hearts. It was immoral, but we could care less. After months of testing, We had our first breakthrough. Over long term exposure, we managed to subject the heart to darkness. And what happened was beyond any of our wildest dreams. Instead of summoning the creature, the subjects instead transformed into them. The only difference was that this new breed of creature we had created possessed heart shaped designs on them. It was unbelievable, we had our first true success. We dubbed these creatures the heartless, as it best described their appearance. We continued even further with our tests. We started setting some of the heartless loose to attract more key- warriors. After years of examining battles between the key-wielders and the heartless and spying on the warriors afterward, we completed our research. We had delved deep into the whole idea, and discovered more than we had ever hoped to. We learned of the existence of keyblades, the nature of the heartless, the door to darkness, other worlds, and kingdom hearts.
As we neared the age of 22, Lenzus and I both understood what we had researched. We tested and ran trials time and time again. We felt that we were finally ready- ready to wield our very own keyblades.
Little did we know that fate would have other plans in store for us...
