Since I have been watching/listening to the various Tokusatsu shows for over a year, I have found myself learning bits of Japanese. It's lots of fun, but the really funny part, is when I respond-- by accident--in Japanese. Sometimes, it feels second nature.
I took Spanish for years and years and years, but I don't find myself answering in spanish. Instead, I find myself answering people back in the short phrases that I've learned from Tokusatsu films & Tv shows.
So, I guess the question is: Do you find yourself picking up Japanese from the series, and do you use it?

I never took Japanese in high school. The teacher there wasn't very good, as told by other students who had her. So, I ended up taking Spanish. I have more training in Spanish then I do in the many episodes of Japanese that I watch, but find that I am learning words and phrases in Japanese.
Anyone else here start singing or answering back in Japanese by accident only to suddenly realize that it wasn't English?
