Aleister was standing outside Sy'd room with an arm full of blankets. He'd also managed to salvage one set of clothing before, his room was completely drowned. He paused to knock, he wasn't just going to barge in her room even though she'd invited him to stay.
It was weird enough having to bunk with someone. He shifted slightly waiting outside the door.
<Can you calm down a bit? You're just sleeping over!> Pookie grumbled, honestly what was wrong with this kid.
<Funny Pookie. Very funny.> Al wanted nothing more than to sleep in his own room. Specially after they'd been cooped up in the barracks. He was sure Syd was tried of having people around, despite having offered her room. He was standing there shifting a bit uncomfortably while waiting for the door to be answered.

The door opened, revealing Syd with her hair in a pony tail, wearing her Mad Cow pjs and holding a juice box. She looked at him, taking a long drag off of the straw, then smiled slightly, moving out of the way to let him in. "So you're going to take me up on the offer?" she asked as she closed the door behind him.

Aleister nodded, "Y-yeah, I can't really stay in my room with it so drowned and .... there's not really anywhere else to stay." He said scratching the back of his head with one hand as he walked into the room.
"I mean... unless I want to sleep in the common room." He frowned slightly.
He might could've seen if Allan would've let him crash for the night on the couch. "S-since it's only what a night or two? Until we get the water to stop in my room and everything cleaned out so it doesn't mold...."

"Aleister," she said. "On this island I have a very small handful of friends," she told him bluntly. "If one of those friends are out of a place to sleep, I'm going to offer them my floor. I already risk my life for them on a regular basis," she said. "Now tell me you brought your gameboy, I want to see you play pokemon."
She headed for her bed, dropping down on it and patting the space next to her. "I bought fruit juice boxes!" she added, pulling a closed one from the desk next to her bed. "Hope you like apple juice."

Aleister nodded as he put the blankets on the floor. "Okay." He said as moved over to sit on the bed.
He did have the gameboy with him and a small case of games. "Haha, alright." He pulled it out with the batteries and the yellow game cartridge. Popping the batteries into the back and the game into the slot he then turned it on. And waited, "..... ...... ......"
There was a pause as he turned it over and checked the batteries. And turned it on again.... nope... still didn't work..... Al frowned. None of the lights, turned on, the screen didn't have anything on it. He checked the batteries and changed them for another set. He knew they were good.... it still didn't work.
"S-syd.... I think it's broke." He said with a frown, this wasn't good...

"What?" she said, staring at it. "What do you mean it's broke? We took on monsters for that thing," she complained. "It can't be broke! Maybe there's a reset button or something?" she asked, seeing as this was a TOTALLY SERIOUS THING okay? "Or maybe the batteries died? Or got wet?"

Aleister shook his head, "The batteries were in this the whole time." He held up the tin lunchbox it'd been stashed in it. "I grabbed the box the next time I went out. There was no way to for it to get wet."
He was checking everything he could think of, "Idon'tknowwhatswrongwithit!" He whimpered a bit as he said this even making sure the contacts on the games were good. But that wouldn't do anything if the gameboy itself was broke.
"Itwasworkingfinebefore..." He even tried smacking it against his hand. He knew that with the old super Nintendos you had to do that.

"Do you know anyone that could fix it?" she asked, trying not to pick up on his panic. "I mean, we can at least ask, right? Come on, let's ask someone," she said, getting to her feet. "We'll get it fixed!"

Aleister nodded, "L-lemme get my slippers." He said, "Uh.... m-maybe Dwight? He runs video cameras."
It was something that was at least worth trying to see if Dwight knew anything. He grabbed his lunchbox tin that had ninja turtles on it, noticable after he shoved everything into the box and closed it, and his teddy bear slippers.
"Lets go see if Dwight knows someone!"

Syd slipped on her own simple black ballet slippers and followed him. It wasn't the first time that people had seen her in her PJs around here, it wouldn't be the last. "Dwight?" she repeated. "But video cameras and gaming systems are different, aren't they?"
But that was probably the wrong thing to say. "I mean, I hope he knows someone," she said. "What if my CD player breaks? I mean, it'd be really good to know someone."

Aleister shrugged, "He might. I don't think they're that different..." He considered the possablity of this. While it was highly likely he wasn't about to get his hopes dashed.
"I'm sure he'll be able to help us or find someone that can."
---
A few moments later they managed to find where Dwight was and Aleister was knocking on the door. "Dwight?"

The door to the AV room opened and Dwight leaned in the doorway. The Life hunter's choice of wardrobe was interesting to say the least. With the fireman's pants and suspenders, combined with the boxing gloves, and the one month's worth of carefully cultivated stubble patch, the tech looked slightly insane. He glanced at Aleister and leered suavely at Syd, "Hey."

Instinctively Syd moved closer to Aleister--and slightly behind him. NOT what she'd expected, to say the least. "We ah, wanted to ask if you knew someone that could fix Aleister's gamboy, sir," she said. It didn't help that she was wearing white pants with black cow spots on them and a thin tanktop with a gun toting cow on the front. She suddenly wished she had her coat with her.
Maybe she would start sleeping in it, she decided.

Aleister lofted a brow at Dwight, who was... well strange. Syd beat him to the question he was going to ask though. He also noticed Syd moving behind him, he gave a slight uneasy chuckle.
"That is you're uh... not too busy with... work." He shifted in his pokemon themed pj's, which went rather oddly with his teddy bear slippers and tank top. Not to mention he was probably one of the few that wore their coat anytime he went out. Mainly because he never knew when Caelius would have the bright idea of calling a meeting.
He was pulling out the gameboy so Dwight could see it, "It uh... kind of stopped working....."

Syd was shy, and that was cute. Dwight wasn't opposed to woo-ing such a reluctant blossom, but then there was a Gameboy waved about, and seduction took a backseat to business. "I can hook you up. Usually I charge five for video screen work, but for a newbie I'll lower to say...$300?"
