Personality: Often absent-minded and bubbly, Melody is actually as cunning as they come. In social situations, she often loses track of time and will make every attempt to get on a person's good side. People who cross her, however, are met with swift punishment, often in the form of death. Despite all this, she has a tendency to act rather childish regardless of present company.

Skills: Acrobatics and gymnastics, along with some knife-throwing her father taught her as a young girl.
Abilities: Singing voice of the angels, natural sense of balance.
Powers: As a vampire, Melody has enhanced senses and a super-natural rate of healing. In addition to this, the snake charm she wears houses another personality and soul of its own which she calls "Harmitage". Harmitage is old and wise, and often acts as her conscience.
Weaknesses: Because of the deaths of her mother and brother, Melody has a difficult time dealing with loss and being denied affection.
Technology/Weapons/Pharpenilia: An arm bracelet in the shape of a coiling snake which houses the ancient soul of Harmitage. The bracelet can, when splashed with blood, turn into a large snake with nearly impenetrable skin which Melody uses as a weapon.
History
Born into a loving upper-middle class family, Melody's life was sent into a downfall very early on. Her autistic brother Peyton, who was 10 when she was born, was low functioning and therefore he was often pestered in school. Melody would grow very close to her brother, often keeping him company even when he would lock up to everyone. Her voice was his constant companion and their bond was strong. When Melody turned 15, her brother overdosed on his medication as a result of a careless mistake by her mother.
Melody lapsed into her childlike self after Peyton's death, and lost a majority of her friends and the strong relationship with her parents, especially her mother. After falling into a depression, her mother committed suicide by running her car into a tree. Because of Peyton's death, the family didn't have enough money to cover their lifestyle, so Melody and her father were forced to a much more modest home. With meager accommodations and little in the way of spare money, Melody and her father became close as a result of their lack of anyone else. This was also when Melody located the snake-shaped bracelet which housed Harmitage. The old-soul would talk to her throughout her development.
Once she graduated high school, she tearfully left her father and headed off to New York to begin a new life. Little did she expect to have her first job be a waiter at a local singing bar, which re-sparked her passion for singing in front of crowds. After a few weeks of this new life, a man who seemed rather interested in her invited Melody to a party he was having. All Melody could remember was waking up on the roof a large building covered in blood, with pale skin and her clothes torn off. Harmitage explained everything he knew about the paranormals and about how she was now a vampire.
Deciding this was just her next step, Melody went on with her life, reconnecting with her friend Setsuna from her childhood in New York and putting space between herself and her father.
