Shaman felt her body twitch and move as her brain slowly awoke from her slumber. Blinking her eyes slowly and lazily she enjoyed being mashed up against not only her mother but her older brother as well as younger brother by a few minutes. Frowning at the particularly loud snore coming from her mom Shaman shook off the last feelings of sleep from her body and stood. Feeling a little bit mischievous as pups were often like Shaman nudged her paw under her brother's stomach and the proceeded to flip him over. Quick like a bunny she stuck her mouth and blew a raspberry on his tummy. Waggling her tail Shaman waited for the result of her wakeup call. Sometimes her brother could be a bit too serious, but lucky for him (*wink*) he had her to bring out his immaturity.
" Come on bro! Daylight is a'wastin!" Shaman crowed out happily. Her family was used to her loud yet enthuastic behaviour, so her siblings and their mom didn't even flinch at the sound of her voice. "Wanna play? What do ya want to do?" Her tail wagged in excitement.

Having woken up quite some time ago, Frozenheart was simply browsing the lands. His new yet sudden interest in the area having driven him to the point of no sleep. He was curious, and really a bit antsy. He wanted something to do - because while exploring his home was a good idea. It just didn't get out the pent up energy he had inside.
'Wanna play?'
The words were a welcome offer to Frozenheart who happily followed the words to the den he supposed the had come from. He was nervous at first, of invading another's territory but also excited at the opportunity before him. "Play? I wanna play! Can I come play?" He asked, his tail wagging to the point of his rump nearly falling off.
As his adjusted to the darkness in the den, he frowned slightly and backed out quickly. "Oh sorry! Sorry!" He whispered quickly covering his mouth with his paw.

Shaman's tail went down when her brother didn't respond to her calls but shrugged. Maybe he was really tired and needed the rest, no point wastin' the day~ Blue eyes narrowed and looked out the entrance of her home and thought about what she wanted to do. Maybe see if any another pup was about? She was heading out and nearly boinked someone on the head with her own. In front of her was another male pup, one she had never seen before. His fur was sure interesting! "OH! I'd love to play!" Her tail waggled. "What do you want to do? We could chase butterflies, swim, or howl!"

Now overflowing with excitement, Frozenheart nearly tripped over himself as he pranced about happily. He'd never really played with a girl before - this could be fun! "Or - OR we could do all of those things!" He shouted, barely thinking over his response. "But maybe we should focus on one!" He giggled and nodded his head in her direction excitedly. "My Momma always says ladies first, so I guess that means you pick right?" He asked, sitting on his wiggling tail and prancing his front paws around energetically.

"That sounds like a great idea!" Shaman waggled her tail, it would seem she found herself a new friend that enjoyed playing as much as she did. "We can save swimming for last cause I always get tired after swimmin'" Shaman giggled. "On you? Okay! How bout we chase butterflies first? Then you decide next!" His energy was making her all energentic. "I'm Shaman by the way and you are? Wanna be friends?" She started to trot outside to get the fun started.

"Yeah and after you swim your fur gets all wet and heavy!" He laughed, physically shaking his fur out at the thought. "And my fur takes a long time to dry." He smiled as his tail thumped eagerly under his weight. "Butterflies - i've never chased those before are they as hard to catch as dragonflies? Those guys are really fast!" He giggled again making a how of himself. "Oh i'm Riitho! But most dogs around here call me Frozenheart." Excited by her next words, Frozenheart jumped to his paws and yelped in excitement. "Friends? Yeah! It's nice to meet you Shaman - my friend!"

Shaman wrinkled her nose cutely as she listened to the other male talk as the walked along the tunnel. "My fur takes a long time too. Well unless it is a very sunny day! Then it gets dry reallll quick! Oh! Dragonflies huh? I never seen dem before! Maybe we can look for those too! Are they like real dragons? Like all big and scary lookin?" Shaman's eyes widen at the idea. "Hey Rii'o! Okay Frozenheart, I'm Spiritwalker~ but I likes Shaman better. Yay! Friends, I don't gots many of those but that's okay cause now I has you!" She started to pick up speed. "Wanna race? First one there gets the first bug!!" She howled the last part out not taking in account that it was still early morning.

Letting out another innocent giggle, he allowed his imagination to picture exactly what it was that Shaman was imagining. Obviously it was a pretty funny picture, but he didn't want to offend her with his giggles so he cut them short. "No no, dragonflies are really small and skinny. They're kind of like scaly worms with big wings, and the fly REALLY fast!" Pausing for a moment, he quickly began shaking his head. "No, not scary in the least, but they are kind of funny looking."Noticing her pick up in speed, Frozenhear smiled fondly and thought back to his encounter with the older female a few weeks earlier. She had encouraged him to always practice his running - even if he wasn't all that good. This was probably as good a time as any. "You're on!"He yapped, kicking up dust clouds behind him as he darted after her panting heavily. He never had been a good runner, but that female's encouragement gave him at least some inspiration.

Shaman panted a little bit somewhat out of breath from the running. Though she had been getting better at running fast without gasping her little heart out. "Worms huh?" She tilted her head trying to picture them. "Looks like won! You get to find these dragonflies then!" She patted his back. "I'll cheer you on goodluck Rii!!" She wiggled her butt and sat down to watch the master at work. Out of the corner of her eyes she spotted something. "OH! THERE IT IS!" She was so excited that she couldn't contain her excitement. "So pretty! Well for a bug anyways. Maybe we can catch it and bring it swimmin' with us!" Liking that idea her tail waggled faster.

Smiling contentedly he strutted himself ahead of Shaman, he began to scan the area for potential captures. Not seeing any he began to get discouraged, but Shaman's familiar voice perked him back to reality and he glanced in her direction just barely catching the sight out of the corner of his eye. "You're right that is one!" He huffed slinking low to the ground and stalking his prey. "Shhh we have to be really quiet or he'll fly away." He whispered, winking his little puppy eyes in Shaman's direction. With one final kick, the pup projected himself forward and right at the dragonfly. Stretching his paws outward he huffed happily, clenching his paws gently but tightly around what he thought was the dragonfly. But upon closer inspection, he found he had nothing. "Aww man I missed it!" He pouted, kicking the dirt and looking over at Shaman finally noticing how excited she was. "How about you give it a try, you're faster than me anyway." He grinned, pointing his paw in the direction of another dragonfly.

Lowered her ears and put her paw to her mouth while nodding that she would be quieter next time. "Okay, gotcha." She watched as Rii tried to get the bug. "Me?" She pointed to herself and felt ears go back. "Okay! I will give it a try!" With those words she narrowed her eyes and stuck her tongue out in concentration. When she finally spotted the bug it was too high to catch. "Awww... I suppose we can try another day! It's probably gots family anyways! Lets go swimmin' instead!" She smiled at the male and gestured to the direction of the pond.
Shaman let out a tiny little yawn and curled up to her new friend for her afternoon nap. Bug catching had been fun as well as the swimming the had done later on afterwords. Now they were both currently resting in the shaded breeze atmosphere was enough to bring her and her companion to dreamland. Having someone else other than siblings... it was nice. Family was good but sometimes it was nice to play with others that weren't related.
END.
