It was a bright and sunny Deus Ex morning. The birds were singing, the sky was blue, the clouds were white, the grass was green, some casual explosions were seen from the general vicinity of the Life Labs and-
- Oh, a text from Allan. Maybe this was important.
Note: he also did not say any discernible destination, though asking any Sun Hunter where Allan-taichou was just yielded the same result: his room. And a weird facial reaction.

Rin stared at the text she had received for a good long while.
What the hell is a bood? Is it like slang for 'bud'?
Nahhh...
She didn't know what much else in the text meant but what else was new with Allan? She would have texted him back asking but well, she's pretty certain like most folks he'd have rushed back to his room now that they were cleared again.
Finding herself at his door eventually she warily knocked and called out, "Allan?"

Ami, like Rin, was confused as hell. She knew little things in Japanese- konichiwa was hello, right?- but Allan's text? Allan's text looked like something an alien would write. A hella kawaii alien.
She'd googled all the words she didn't know- even Ami was smart enough to do that. Trainee-tachi she had nothing on (must've just meant trainee? She was a trainee after all). Nakama was like ... brother? Ami just took it for "bro." Kokoro was apparently some sort of book by Natsume Soseki. Allan wanted them to bring a book as one? Alright. Ganbette was do your best- also understandable. The little squiggles at the end didn't seem to mean anything. Must have been text decoration?
So in summary, he wanted them to bring their one book, bro- do your best.

It was probably best to just get to the root of the problem. She'd asked around where Allan was, getting really, really ******** odd looks, and eventually found Rin waiting outside his door as well. "Ah ... hi ... I'm looking for Allan?" Maybe this hunter would know where Allan was?

Ryan got the message, but he didn't know what to make of it. Though one look at it and he knew exactly who it was from. Even before he even saw the name. Only Allan would send a text as bizarre as that with information he could barely understand. Seriously what the hell was a kokoro? How would he know if he remembered to bring it or not? And as one? What did it even mean!?
It only got better from there.
Not only was the message bizarre, but Allan hadn't even bothered to type in a destination. Did he have somewhere specific in mind? Or was he expecting them to just drop by his dorm room like the time before?
Then it occurred to him.
If this was another convention trip, he wanted no part in it! Allan could go trade cards on his own!
With a slight grumble, Ryan slipped out through the doorway and into the hall. Since no place was specified in the message, Ryan figured the best place to start was Allan's dorm and turns out it might have been the right choice, because he wasn't the only one there.
"Oh--did you guys get a text as well?" He asked, looking between the two of them curiously.

Sydney was trailing behind the others, staring at her phone blankly. What was a bood? And how did you get a kokoro as one? Was it a bundle pack of something? She was so busy trying to figure out these grand mysteries of life (at least now she knew how to spell taichou!) that she didn't even notice the others at his room door until it was too late.
For a second she stared at them. Then asked quietly, "Does anyone know where to buy bundled kokoro?"

Ofelia practically squealed with delight (she might have actually, which would explain why some people backed away from her) as she got Allan's text message, prompting her to run like a idiot and ask around for the destination of Allan's room. She hadn't really seen much of her Division Leader since the whole 'we blow up the pony planet' thing and getting a text from him was awesome.
Even if she didn't understand half the words.
Even if it brought her face to face with people she barely knew, all wondering about stuff that was inside the text message.
It probably would have been a good idea for Ofelia to actually read what was being said in there and she re-opened her phone, looking at it.
Things Ofelia didn't know the meaning of?
1. Koroko
2. Nakama
3. Gambatte
4. How the hell she understood that she needed to get to Allan's room
Anyway she was here, a small group of people had formed, and a wicked large grin spread over Ofelia's face. "Ah got no idea what the hell is gonna happen, but Ah'm pretty sure this is gonna be amazin'. Dun tell me none'a ya are jus' as excited as Ah am?"
Maybe they wouldn't believe her, seeing as she was the only Sun Hunter here. Where the rest moon? Was that a mist? Did random groups form a nakama thing? Who knew.

Ofelia arrived to join the gathering posse just in time to see a Sun Hunter with the same disgruntled expression leave the room. Well, in theory it still did not mean anything much, and upon taking a step into the room-
- It looked absolutely normal. One-hundred-percent like how they had left during the MENS ONLY PARTY (which of course, only two of the five assembled would remember), complete with action figures all nuzzled perfectly in the walls, the weapons still strapped to the ceiling, a DDR machine still unplugged in the corner. The kitchen counter was also immaculately clean, with only an empty Ramune bottle decorating the counter, as well as an elbow, belonging to one Sun Division leader.
A Sun Division lead that had in his lap a few stray pieces of paper. It didn't look too bad, and just from peeking at the top of the paper, really looked harmless, in fact, it just had a drawing of a cute familiar mascot at the top of the page with all typed up and printed in an attractive font.
Really, it could have always been worse.
Allan stood up, effectively scattering the papers everywhere as he greeted the fantastic five. "Konnichiwa trainee-tachi!"
Okay, so it was already getting worse. It could always be worse-er.
The Sun Lead enthusiastically picked up the dropped papers, handing everyone a piece, along with a wink, and a hearty pat that probably sent them stumbling forward, just a little bit. "I know there's been a lot going on, with my other nakama, but Allan-taichou decided that he would always help those in need." Oh goodie, the third person again. "And that includes when they need a promotion!"
For anyone with decent reading skills, they might have picked up what was on the pamphlet already: ALLAN- TAICHOU'S TRAINING SESSION, FOR NAKAMA 11:00 - 11:05 - 200 push ups, 200 sit ups for WARM UPS 11:06 - 11:10 - Run around Deus Ex facility outskirts five times to train ENDURANCE 11:11 - 11:20 - Climb the facility walls five times to train SPEED 11:21- 11:30 - Play DDR in hard mode for AGILITY 11:31 - 12:00 - You did well! Allan-taichou is so proud of you! We can watch an episode of One PIece together!
He didn't miss a beat, or really wait for a protest. "Okay trainee-tachi, lets do the first thing on the list, uhhhhh-" He looked down at the sheet of paper, then upside down, then sideways, and then scrunched it up and threw it behind him - "Four hundred sit ups and push ups go!"
That avid expression as he expected trainees to simply start reconfirmed that he was indeed, very, very serious.
OOC: EXERCISE 1, PUSH UPS AND SIT UPS - Apparently doing so is good for your abs and arms! This is important when holding a heavy weapon and... showing off some abs. Yeah! - Roll 2 10-sided dice. This is the amount of sit ups you do in one "session" before you get tired. You can only do 5 sessions before your trainee is absolutely exhausted and pretty much collapses. The more sit-ups you do, the more Allan-taichou is proud of you! - After that its time to do pushups. You're gonna have to roll 2-10 sided dice again. Pushups, the mens style, are incredibly difficult to do, more so than sit-ups. You can only do 3 sessions before your trainee is absolute exhausted and pretty much collapses. - Make sure to rp out all results so TO SUM UP: - 5 rolls of 2 10-sided dice for SIT UPS (rp it out) and total how much you did - 3 rolls of 2 10-sided dice for PUSH UPS (rp it out) and total how much you did. - Feel free to rp a reaction from the post as necessary. Just imagine Allan-taichou cheering you on and shouting encouraging words of absolute gibberish as your trainee does sit-ups and pushups.

Rin snorted at Ami, "Beat's me I'm just hoping he's here."
When Ryan showed up she nodded at him in subtle confirmation to his question.
She recognized Syd but merely offered the woman a confused shrug.
Ofelia got a somewhat dirty look in greeting for her excitement.
Yeah, fun, sure. Whatever you say.
As the sun slipped past her with an expression she did not understand she poked a head in after them and proceeded to slip inside. The greeting offered went clear over her head. Was he calling them some strange unfamiliar insult? All she caught in that mess was the word "trainee".
She rolled a shoulder in a shrug before being eagerly handed a paper with a strange yellow blobby creature on it - are those ears?
She very quickly frowned further upon reading the contents. He couldn't possibly be serious could he?... Wait wait, four hundred?! Of EACH?! In FIVE minutes?! The man was a lunatic, insane, downright --- why is he staring at me like that? She offered him a bewildered wide-eyed stare before hesitantly, very hesitantly going over to sit on the floor and get started on her first session of sit ups, completing nineteen before flopping back to rest for the next.

Ami's smiled a little when Allan said promotion. Beyond the weirdness and everything, that was still REALLY exciting. She may have lost all of her s**t, but she was getting things done!
Her face fell all over again when he said push ups and sit ups. Four hundred of them.

She would never be a real hunter. Not if this was the promotion.
Sighing, she got down on the floor and started doing sit ups.
... One ..................... Two .......
Yup. Consider her trainee-taichi for life.

Ofelia was practically jumping up and down as Allan apparered, oh so delighted to be here and doing this and yaaaay exercise. She may or may not have been not sleeping again and full on in denial mode, but this was going to be amazing she was going to do push-ups and sit ups and she was going to get promoted. And then she was going to get revenge maybe, or just do other fun things. Like maybe try to and move? Or. . . nope, well, Ofelia didn't have much time to think because she needed to get started on the sit-ups and push-ups and stuff.
Gym had probably been Ofelia's only favorite class in school, seeing as it didn't involve much reading, writing, or being social with anyone who hated her since most of it was self-study/you can do this alone. She may have been a bit out of shape, it wouldn't be a lie to say she hadn't been doing legit exercise since she came to the Deus Island (plus she didn't know how long she'd been stationary in the pod), but none the less she dropped down prepped herself to get some sit ups down.
Do you want me to keep count? Rue's offer of help was immediately suspicious so Ofelia didn't even acknowledge it. Instead she just started, pacing herself so she wouldn't get super tired right off the bat. Others around her were going too, she wasn't going to be left behind!
The first set she did wasn't so bad, she was puffing a little, but nothing she couldn't really handle. A Sun trainee had to be physical, right? She wanted to show Allan-tiechewbou that everything with her was awesome, that she was pretty cool in her own right.

After a quick rest Rin huffed and puffed and kept right on doing her sit ups, this session only accomplishing ten before flopping back to rest again.

Ofelia's second set wasn't nearly as good as her first set, mostly because she was rather busy watching the others. The person she knew only as Rin (apparently Rin didn't like her, Ofelia had no clue why) was doing really good, but the other red-head near her (Ofelia didn't know her) didn't seem to be doing so well. A thumbs up from the teen was given during one of her sets and it ended up distracting her and stopping her there.
Oops. Well at the very least she could do better on her third set? She wasn't too winded, she could keep going and get a decent number before they went into push-ups, right?
Rue was silent but Ofelia could hear that something was coming soon. Hopefully not loud cackles, she needed to focus.

After another rest she started another round of sit ups again, not bad, she managed to get nine out before collapsing. She was laughing to herself breathlessly, at least it wasn't two again.
That isn't much of a reward you know.
She rolled her eyes, she could swear he had to be brooding in the back of her mind again.

Her third set was almost as good as the first, prompting an approval grunt from Ofelia as she stopped to rest, and she exhaled deeply as the set finished and she paused to catch back her breath. She liked how all this work was making her feel, it was as though it was taking away all her stress, and the sun trainee wondered if it would be a good idea for her to step up and do something wonderful after all of this, like taking up running.
Running was a healthy hobby, right? She needed hobbies, she needed honest distractions. Plus getting in shape might make her stronger and she needed to be stronger.
Stronger, faster. Better.
