Chandra paused to take a breath, freshly returning from a hunt. Successful or not, there were times when Chandra wished that things were as they were when she was younger. Living with just her mother and her brother in the rogue lands had been difficult, but the balancing act of classes and socializing could be exhausting too. Sometimes she was frustrated at the fact the Great Lion would never watch over her more, but at least she wasn't in the low class. She had to remind herself of that at times, when she felt alone. "Stop it, you're fine," she chided herself, shaking her head as she debated on what to do next. She should go seek out her brother and his mate, perhaps play with her nephews a bit. They could at least get a good smile out of her face.

Kizev was sitting outside Kivuli's den, wondering if he should wander further or not. His father was encouraging him and 'Dama to explore the pride more, but the cub was still unsure. He'd spent some time away from his twin, but he was nervous when he knew she was out of earshot. It was just...so different, even moons later. He watched the big purple and pink and yellow lioness walking by, talking to herself quietly. He wasn't really trying to make sense of them, so they were simply background noise as far as the boy was concerned. Still, she didn't seem very happy. "Um...you okay Ms. Big Lion?" the cub called out to the passing adult.

It was clearly a younger voice that she heard, but it wasn't something that she was expecting. She had decided to go check on her nephews, but it was a bit of a walk to where they usually were. She turned and glanced around, her pink eyes resting on a dark cream, white, and yellow cub.
"Oh..." It was a bit embarrassing for a mere child to be concerned about her, but the sentiment behind it was sweet. Really sweet. "I'll be ok. My imagination runs away from me at times." She stopped to face the adorable little one, her eyes glancing around (but not too far). "Are you here alone right now?"

He watched her turn towards him. She seemed to be less sad now, but not really happy. Did she have a twin that she missed too?
"Okay," the cub replied simply. Kizev didn't speak as much as 'Dama did, she usually spoke for the two of them. So reticence was a matter of habit, and didn't indicate emotion or preferences as far as he was concerned.
The boy looked around, considering the question of his aloneness. "I guess not," he answered. After all, the lioness was here. He angled his head back and nodded at the den behind him. "'S my dad's den. He's home."

Short and to the point? Or just painfully shy? Chandra wasn't sure, but she did think that it was rather interesting. She was too used to Chander's boys, and how they always seemed to get excited over being able to talk to adults.
"That's good." She looked at him more, but there was only one small little hint as to what family he belonged to. That didn't mean which exact family member, though.
"What's...your father's name, little one?" Hopefully he'd answer her, and Chandra would recognize the name. She wasn't as social and outgoing as her brother, but she knew a decent amount of the members.

Kizev tilted his head to one side as he looked up at the lioness. She didn't seem to want to talk to him too much, but she was asking him questions. It never occurred to him that she might be as sparing with his words as he was. Or that she simply didn't know what to say to him.
"Kivuli'mwezi," the cub answered. Then he made a decision and opened his mouth again.
"What's your name?"

Chandra nodded when she said the name. It sounded familiar...it made her think of some current drama that she had done her best to avoid. Not him, but...didn't he have a lot of adult children running around? Something like that.
"I'm Chandra," she said with a smile, feeling a bit more relaxed. At least he wasn't here alone. Then there wasn't much left to worry about, at least in regards to him. Though he was cute, and she assumed, pretty shy.
"What is your name?"

"Kizev," the boy answered. Chandra, huh. It was an interesting name. Very different from his and 'Dama's and his dad's and his siblings and everyone else that the cub knew. But it was a pretty enough name. Simple enough to remember with her distinctive coloration.
The silence between them stretched on but Kizev wasn't really comfortable saying anything more. Chandra had answered his questions and he had no more to ask. Now what to do? Should he go back into the den?

"Kizev! Its nice to meet you," she said with a small chuckle. He was so adorable! It sort of...made her want to have cubs. She didn't know if she could do it on her own. And she felt like it would be a lot of work trying to find a male already in the Mwezi'Johari. Suppressing a sigh, as she didn't want the youngster to worry about her again, she nodded towards him.
"If you're ever bored, you should seek out my nephews. They're a bit older than you, but they love to play. They sorta look like me, so they shouldn't be too hard to find," she told him with a wink.

The cub nodded that it was nice to meet her too. Nice. It wasn't bad, so it must be nice. That made sense. Kizev blinked in surprise as Chandra offered her nephews. Did she not have any cubs of her own? That seemed sad. His dad loved having cubs around and told him and 'Dama so often.
"Okay, I will," he told the nice lioness. "Thank you." Behind him, noises were coming from the den.
"I should go now," he added, before abruptly turning and dashing inside.
