With all the strange things happening these days Cedar had almost forgotten to go and visit her Magic Guide. Rubbing her arm lightly lightly Cedar looked around the forest, the voices told her the general direction she needed to go but ultimately Ermys would find her. Things had changed so much since she left the Academy, she herself had changed but her view on life was very different.
Cedar could remember meet Ermy's and how she disliked him at first for making her use her power. But now she was glad, now she would be able to really protect herself, where as without knowing the ability she'd be defenseless. The witch couldn't help but wonder if Ermys would have knowledge of the majin and if it was possible what that woman said when they were all locked in that cage. Cedar really doubted that anything like that was true, especially like she had thought. The majin have been around for so long, and nothing like that 'disease' she called it, had ever happened.

Emrys watched Cedar from his perch on a tree, a small, crooked smile gracing his features, his eyes laced with amusement. He wondered if she knew where she was truly going? Or if her confidence in him was so great she would go blindly.
It was honestly precious. Cedar had been and still continued to be, a wonderful student. While he shared many secrets of her nature based powers with her, unlocking magical talent she would have never truly been able to understand without someone such as a druid, she still shared all the magic of the world outside the tones of the forest. Emrys had traveled many years, going from one town to another, but always would come home, and never really known what to make of this "civilization." He was a clansmen, charged with being shaman and warrior of his people, and the cultures beyond the line of trees befuddled Emrys to an astonishing point.
So he slipped down from the tree, almost like he were on water, knowing in his heart, Cedar had placed her faith in him well; for he'd never let her wander too far.
His boots were still up in the tree, but that was no matter, he'd easily acquire them again at a later time. Feeling the soft earth under his toes, he gave her a curt nod, before allowing a gentle smile to play at his lips. His calves felt the rush of a gentle breeze, breathing life into his pants as they danced with the wind.
"Well met, Cedar. I trust your walk was pleasant?" He stood over her, casting a shadow across her face, like a wild monster, yet it was only his mask that gave off such malevolence. Emrys, while powerful and ruthless in his own way, was always gentle to those who showed the same respect back.

Cedar turned quickly on the spot and her gaze went up. Once his form blocked the sun she was able to see Ermys. Everything about him felt like home, just the sound of his voice seemed to remove burden from her shoulders. Cedar was a young adult at the age of 22. But as she looked at the tall druid, she felt like a child and she wanted to lounge at him and hold tight.
But she was to old for things like that. Least that's what her parents told her before she left for school. She wasn't able to show emotions toward her parents, well at least she didn't feel she could. But when he gave her the curt nod she thought that maybe she had done something wrong, but she had gone to far? She had sensed him nearby... But her thought was cut off when his smile and she let out a soft breath and relaxed.
It took Cedar a moment before she responded. Her thoughts were so scattered. "Ah, of course. The forest is always kind and welcoming here." She nervously rubbed at her bandaged arm. The bandaged along her collar bone pulled at the skin as she did. The bruises that formed on her legs were finally starting to heal and the other cuts that formed after she had been accidentally awoken would take some time to heal.
"I.." She started before pulling her hand away from her arm and placing it onto her hip. "You've been taking care of yourself?" He looked well, healthy. It was good to see something positive. Though she pondered the idea of Emrys not being 'good'. He was very responsible and reliable. The idea of him not having things together really didn't seem like him. But would he share that with her if it did happen?

Emrys looked to the bruises, the way her eyes seemed to hold sorrow. She was holding something back from him, and he was acutely aware of it. He sighed, sitting on a log that had fallen years ago. It was a bit soft and he felt some of the bark crumble under his weight, but he motioned for her to sit next to him.
He watched her for a moment, looking her over, getting a good read on her soul. "You've been through something unfortunate." He reached out, brushing a finger over a bruise, caressing it for a moment with his thumb. His gaze held, truly looking at the small wound. "What happened?"
The biggest drawback of being a druid, was Emrys wasn't around to protect Cedar as often as he'd like. He could have gone out into the world, taking up residence away form his clan, but he'd forever be lost to them. He didn't want to become an outsider from those whom he treasured above all, even Cedar, though she was a close second. He nudged his arm into hers gently, for comfort. "I'm sorry... I wasn't there."I want to ask you something about a...romantic plot (that would have an ending, because of Bane. But Bane gets Kei damn it! You can say no >> )

Cedar cautiously sat next to Emrys. It wasn't that she was scared to be so close to him or scared that something might hurt. It was when he asked what happened that she fell into a fog. She could remember it like it was yesterday although she had the worst time trying to vocalize it. Her olive eyes watched as his fingers gracefully slid over one of her bruises a shiver slipping through her spine.
"I know you can't always be there for me nor do I expect you too. You do more for me then I deserve." She smiled sweetly at him before taking in a breath. "And you know I would never ask you to give up your life." Shifting around on the log, the bark crunched and some fell as the witch moved. Carefully trying to cross her legs.
After a few minutes of listening to the world around them she started to peace what happened together to tell Ermys what happened that night.
"I was with Lea, I guess it was a date. When all of a sudden everything went black. When I woke up I was in a carriage with a group of other witches and witchlings. There were two Black hearts..." Cedar went on to explain how they were herded down into an underground room and put into a cage. And how she then became separated from Lea and the woman named Runa. How she said that anyone that was constantly near a Majin would turn into this creature. And how this woman kept one locked in a cage near theirs. But then someone shook the castle, the woman and all but one left the room they were being kept in.
Time started to slip away from her as she talked to him about this. A gentle breeze pushed against her and she couldn't help but look as it expecting something. Her fingers began to fidget before she was able to clasped them together.
"There was a fight going on upstairs the ceiling started to shake and someone fell from the wall knocking the creatures cage open. The Black Heart guarding us couldn't even respond before it was in the cage with it. It clawed it's way past me. That's how I got the gashes on my arm and collar bone. It broke a couple others arms and it ravaged this witchling. It was then that the Black Heart got in and picked up the other girl and we all started to run." She was trying not to shake but telling him. Finally talking to someone about it was almost as bad as being there. Her eyes started to well up with tears and it felt as if the pain had started to come back. "T-the path was blocked, I didn't want everyone to die... So I used my magic." Her voice weakened at the last part.
"It hurt to use it... But all the physical pain stopped. And it was so hard to move the rocks but I did it." She smiled at him as if looking for his approval. "Everyone got out... But the Black Heart grabbed my body... Uaithne said he thought I had just passed out. And the witchling tried to stop him. But the Black Heart just charged off. And when Uaithne found Lea they took my body back to Eir in town." She swallowed hard wiping her eyes.
She told him about Luciel who just happen to be coming back when he sensed her soul taking it upon himself to bring her to her body back in Makai. Where Eir was trying to bring her back. But after her body reached Eir she was accidentally awoken. Her spirit was able to feel the pain when it happened. About how the wounds from the creature that should have started to clot had started flowing with fresh blood and new cuts and bruises began to appear. Once her spirit and body were combine again she didn't wake up for days, all she remembered was pain.
By this point she was just short of sobbing. At least 45 minutes had gone by and she felt exhausted. Whimpering softly she reached her hand out to grab at some of his fabric. As if that would keep him from going away.Sure ^_^ Feel free to PM me~

Emrys watched with sharp eyes as Cedar drew her collective memory into order. He stayed still, like a tree of his own accord. His hair was the only thing that moved in the wind.
He listened. His brow furrowed at the names he did not know. It wasn't surprising though. He didn't venture, nor care to really know the people outside of his clan. He knew Bane, Cedar and a rather strange reaper, Mischa. They were the only ones he considered close enough to being friends, and they were all outside of his clan, even Bane now.
He watched her eyes fill with tears. As she talked about her wounds, he wrapped his arm around her, gently rubbing at her shoulder lightly, as he stared out into the forest, feeling numb. He hadn't been there. He should have known. He should have felt it somehow...
Her hands grabbed at his clothing, and he wrapped his other arm around her, pulling her into a hug. He felt ashamed. She'd done so much good. She had been so brave. Yet he had been here, tending to his clan and never thinking she could find such harm.
"Who is Lea?" he asked. Emrys wasn't meaning to be insensitive, but the fact Cedar had gone on a date, kind of surprised Emrys. Granted, it should not have. She was a beautiful woman grown. Yet it still irked Emrys for a reason he didn't quite understand. "You did well. I'm proud of you." he said before he allowed his other curoisities to get the better of him.
He pulled away, taking her hand in his and weaving their fingers together. "You're safe now. And that's the important thing. But I don't..." He sighed heavily, looking away from her. "I had no idea... I didn't even have any form of feeling that you were in trouble. I would have gone looking for you. I just..."
He'd been looking for Bane all this time. He never stopped to think of those whom he had presently. He'd been searching for a dream, yet those who were real were being hurt and killed, and he hadn't done anything.
He felt foolish. But how could he change his ways? Bane meant so much to him as a child, and still today as an adult. How could one change their stars when they were already in the sky?

When Emrys' arms pulled her into the hug it was, well for a lack of better words. Exactly what Cedar needed. She had felt so tired over the last couple of weeks having trouble with sleeping and thinking that someone was waiting around corners. She leaned into him feeling so much better, he made he feel safe. Cedar felt like she could easily spend hours lost in Emrys arms.
"Lea?" She dried her eyes for the last time and didn't think to much on the question. "He's..." Who exactly was Lea to her? "He's a very good friend. We met at the Halloween Ball the Academy holds. And now he works at my store with me." Which was all true. Lea had kissed her cheek on Christmas under the mistletoe and the mononoke was very attentive to her as well.
"You think so?" It was the silver lining to sitting there crying in front of her former teacher and her guide. His praise. Cedar remembered when she was younger and still at the school that his praise was hard to come by. He was a hard man back then and still was in his own way. Over the years Cedar like to think she wiggled her way into his affections in some aspect and it seemed like it had happened.
Though she had to admit was a bit taken back what he said next. It wasn't his fault none of it was. But Emrys seemed to be taking it harder then she had expected. Tilting her head she looked up at him and then shook it. "Emrys... It wasn't your fault. If you knew I was danger I know you'd come looking for me." Unlike how Cedar feels the bound with Druids they often or rather didn't get the same feelings when near her. There was no magical connection or anything else that would link Emrys and Cedar so it was understandable that he wouldn't know she was in danger.
The young witch fingered at the fabric that she gripped. She wondered what Emrys had been doing lately. He must have been really preoccupied to be apologizing to her for not being able to be there. Cedar never expected Emrys to be her knight in shining armor. But maybe she had misunderstood? With a light exhale she smiled up at him wanting to get her mind back to the current time.
"Just by being here for me now is enough." She rested her head against his shoulder her hand went to touch the collar of fur on his half coat he wore.
( You should have told me I've been spelling his name wrong! XD I say Ermys in my head and so I naturally type it. I'm soooorry ;-;!! )
