Quote: Before your hunter enters their first floor dorm room, roll 1 d100! The dorms were damaged greatly during the clearing, particularly the first floor, as many Intermediates and trainees kept making trips to get items from their rooms. 1-10: Your room is destroyed, you have lost all possessions not ICly taken out prior to 6-6-12. You must share a room with another hunter. 11-20: Your room is destroyed, but some possessions are salvageable. You must share a room with another hunter. 21-50: A water pipe burst in your room, all you own is now water logged, except for possessions ICly taken out prior to 6-6-12. You must share a room with another hunter. 50-60: You are missing a wall, and some possessions. Deal with it. 60-80: There's several large holes in your wall. Deal with it. 80-100: Your room is untouched! Wilson hadn’t been there when the other trainees had banded together to rush through the dorms and take out the ten, giant phoenixes inside the building. Maybe he should’ve, but the trainee didn’t have a time travel to remedy it. He appreciated the bright blue sky, nonetheless. It took him a while to get into the dorm building. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to return to his room again, but the sky was just too beautiful. When was the last time he had seen a cloudless sky? Normally, the island was covered in fog and everyone had been forced to take shelter underground for weeks.
He simply walked around the island, his gaze always pointed to the sky. Coupled with his habit of backwards walking, Wilson bumped into quite a few things, but eventually he found himself in front of the dorms again. He looked up at the sky and then sighed. Let’s see how much damage, hm? The trainee walked through the long corridor until he found his room and slowly opened the door.
Everything was wet. Wilson took a tentative step inside, his boots sloshing against a tiny layer of water. He walked over to check on his clothes.
Yup. Soaked, but hopefully he could dry them and wear them again. The basketball and hoop were fine. Sir Yan the pet rock was also fine. Fortunately, he had taken out his books and photos out beforehand.
Sighing, Wilson walked out of his room while scratching the back of his head. Maybe he should go get a mop?

"Hoo boy."
Eva had been expecting the worst, but it was still quite the shock to see her room reduced to a pile of rubble. She did a quick run-through of everything she had left in there prior to this destruction. Her clothing, of course, her bed and wardrobe--there was no saving those--and her...
Her plushies. Eva frowned at this, running a hand through her hair as she stared at the pieces of rubble--the walls, probably--that had collapsed onto her floor. Most people probably would have just sacrificed the plush toys rather than dig through and attempt to find them, but not Eva--they had been Christmas gifts from Otto, and so she was determined to seek out and salvage as many as she could.
Anyone looking out into the hallway would see Eva wandering in and out of her destroyed room. She would gather an armful of plushies--many of which were destroyed and in pieces--walk out, dump them on the hallway ground, walk back inside, and rinse and repeat. Teddy bear limbs, dust-covered kitty cats, and squished bunny plushies lay strewn over the ground, with a rare few unharmed toys scattered here and there. Coincidentally, Eva's beloved Eevee plushie was among the ones unharmed.
When she walked back out a few minutes later with her third armful of toy parts, she heaved a sigh. "Looks like I'll have to find somewhere else to stay for now."

It had taken him a while, but Wilson finally found the mop. Conveniently, he also found a bucket. That would be useful. Mop and bucket in hand, the trainee slowly made his way back to his dorm room. The hallway was relatively empty, which made the trip back quiet yet peaceful except for the walking, talking pile of plushies—wait.
Wilson paused, the bucket in his hand swinging as he turned toward the plushies. He blinked a few times, but then it finally dawned to him that the plushies weren’t alive and talking, it was just Eva! Smiling, he leaned forward a bit. “Somewhere else to stay?” he repeated curiously. Wilson leaned back. “So I’ll assume your room isn’t in very good shape either.” Maybe even worse. Probably worse. Head cocked to the side, he scratched his cheek. “Looks like I need to find somewhere else to stay as well. Want to look together?” Then he turned his gaze toward the pile of plushies. “Do you need help with that?” He half-nodded his head toward the toys.

With a good part of her vision obscured by her armful of toys, Wilson's voice came as a shock to her. The girl visibly jumped, the plushie parts tumbling from her arms and onto the ground. Of course, not that it really mattered anyways--she had been about to drop them there anyways. Taking in a breath, Eva turned to regard Wilson with a grin, her hand pressed over her heart.
"Hey, Wilson! Gave me a bit of a scare there." She grinned, though it faltered slightly at the mention of the rooms' conditions. Her expression was a little wry as she nodded, and then gestured towards the mop and bucket that Wilson had in his hands. "Yours too, I'm guessing? It doesn't look like a ton of rooms survived this mess."
She was just glad that she had her uniform and most of her Christmas gifts--which had mostly consisted of jewelry and accessories--on when this all happened. With the exception of the plushies, almost everything she cared about had been saved. Chuckling at Wilson's offer, she dropped her her knees so that she could sort through the toys.
"Yeah, sure! Let's go find somewhere to stay. As for the toys, uh..." She furrowed her brows as she sifted through them, picking out the ones that were only a little damaged or that could easily be fixed. Eventually, she had a pile of ten or so sitting in front of her, and with a little effort, she managed to scoop them all up in her arms. "Haha, I think I'm good! Though...any idea where we should start looking for somewhere to stay?"

“Ah.” Wilson bent down to pick up the fallen toys. He frowned when he realized some of them weren’t whole, but merely plush limbs. “Did I startle you? I’m sorry.” When Eva pointed to the mop and bucket, Wilson nodded his head. “My room is filled with water. A lot of my stuff is ruined, but I managed to clear out the more important things beforehand.”
He stared at Eva incredulously when she managed to gather a pile of plushies into her arms. “Is that everything you want to bring?” Then Wilson crossed his arms as he thought of who the two of them could room with. Most of the people he knew were already rooming with someone else, plus squeezing three people into one dorm would probably be a tight fit. So…maybe a house?
A house.
Wilson grinned. “I think I know who we can ask. Gale has a house of his own, now. Let me text him about it.” He put down the mop and bucket to take out his cellphone.kuromeez hey gale, can eva and i room at your place our dorms are trashed “I’m going to get my things and then we can keep looking together if Gale says no. I’ll be right back.” Room 123 to Room 169. Good thing Wilson had been on the track team in high school. He was back with a box of things in about a minute. “Alright! If you want to put some of your things in my box that’s fine. I still have room.”

Gale, reclining back on his bed with his legs drawn up and a book in his hands, stared blankly at the text message he had just gotten from one Wilson Hopkins:
hey gale, can eva and i room at your place our dorms are trashed
It would have been one thing if it was just Wilson asking if he could stay. But the added Eva to that sentence made him stop, his face already flushing a pale shade of pink as he slowly closed the book, his fingers sliding over the cover.
He had really been hoping he was over her by now, but apparently not.
<< What an interesting scenario you're put in. >> remarked Jinhai lazily, and Gale could feel the dragon curling and uncurling in his mind. << What are you gonna tell them? >>
"I can't say no," said Gale, a bit testily. He reread the text message yet again, and then slowly lifted his arm, typing out a message with both hands.syusaki Of course. I'm at #112, second street to the left. It's a little yellow house. He hit send before he could change his mind and then closed the phone, curling it into his palm. Inside of his head, he could hear Jinhai murmuring, a low laugh escaping the dragon's nonexistent throat, and Gale sighed, leaning his head back against the pillows.
...of which he hoped he had enough for his upcoming guests.

Eva's expression twisted into one of sympathy. Ugh, filled with water? That wasn't going to be all that easy to clean up, though she supposed that it was good thing that Wilson's room was, at the very least, still standing. "Ouch. Good thing you managed to get most of the important stuff out at least!" Had she had a free hand, she would have clapped it on Wilson's shoulder in a sympathetic manner. Instead, he had to settle for a...sympathetic nudge from Eva's arm.
The girl chuckled at the question, her expression becoming sheepish. "I...yeah, I guess. There's no way for me to save my wardrobe, and all my clothes are in there, so..." So the only things she could bring were the plush toys. She would have to figure out the clothes business later, once they actually found somewhere to stay.
Fortunately, Wilson apparently already had someone in mind. Gale, right! So long as he didn't mind having temporary roommates, it did make the most sense to ask the boy if they could hang out at his new house. With everything that happened, Eva hadn't had the time to congratulate him from his promotion either--now seemed like the perfect time.
When Wilson went off to retrieve his things, Eva dropped her armful of plushies to begin sorting through the destroyed pile again. Arms, legs, heads, small articles of clothing like shirts and scarves--
--...Scarves? Eva plucked the green scarf out from the pile, eying it curiously. She didn't know which plushie had been wearing the scarf before, but she had an idea, and immediately turned around to dig through her pile of still intact toys. When Wilson returned, Eva jumped up with a grin, moving towards him and setting something on his shoulder: a red-eyed, black bat with a green scarf. "You can just carry this guy for me. I can get the rest fine!"

His eyes went a bit glassy at the mention of clothes. Oh yes. Most of his clothes were now ruined, but at least Wilson had saved his favorite hoodie and shirt. That was it, though. He nudged Eva back and grinned. “At least it’ll be nice to have some fresh, new clothes.”
When Wilson returned, he looked at Eva curiously before he immediately craned his neck to peer at the black bat with a green scarf similar to his own. He chuckled, reaching up to deposit the toy into his box. “Sure thing.” The trainee balanced the box on one knee while he fished out his phone to read Gale’s answer. He grinned. “Awesome. Gale says ‘of course.’ Let’s go over there now.” Wilson put the phone into his box and half-nodded for Eva to follow him. He remembered helping Gale fend off a particularly large phoenix in the towns and he was pretty sure that was the house the boy now lived in.
The house was different from last time, but that was because it wasn’t infested with monsters. It was nice with a coat of yellow paint. He walked up the stairs, balanced the box on his knees again, and then knocked. “Gale? It’s Wilson and Eva.”
