Rajnish was furious, and that was using the term lightly. How could the spirits do such a thing to someone who cared for them so greatly?! He growled into the darkness, as his claws dug into the earth as he prowled forward, the greatest love of his life had been hurt because of those selfish bastards...and because he was a b*****d. He snorted, once he had cornered her, and made her confess what had taken place, his world had spun away.

Their cub, their only creation had been premature and death had stolen her soul before her first glance at life. The idea of it all made him sick, and now he prowled the rogue lands with a heavy heart and a furious paw. He had dabbled to deep into his dark arts this night, and he was what looked to be drunk with it.

He didnt care.

Chanda had just finished what she deemed a wonderful time with a lioness she'd just met. One who actually lived in the pride she had been searching for, but after the wonderful times she'd been having with a certain male, she was unsure of her desire to settle down there. At time she couldnt see herself there, but the urge to be there was usually stronger than her desire to continue to wander.

She was humming and padding back to the small den she would slumber in this night, before finally deciding one way or the other.

She hadnt seen him in the shadows, and had been so busy within her own thoughts and world that she hadnt heard the growl before she walked into him.

Their bodies slammed into one another, it was a solid hit. She stumbled and fell back, and he tripped and fell forward, his anger began to bubble to the surface.

"Watch where your going you twit!" He snarled as he righted himself, he would normally not speak to a stranger like this without warrant, but she just happened to be in the wrong place, at the wrong time and his temper...snapped.

He didnt even notice he had lifted back his paw until he was already back pawing her with it, a snarl echoing out of his vocals as he moved foward and did it once more, watching as she limply went back even further with the second blow.

"I didn--" The words didnt even get to finish leaving her mouth before she felt the first strike, she hadnt even seen it coming before the pain of it exploded in her cheek, and then the second strike sent her back further onto her back, her maw fell open as she simply stared at him, horror filling her eyes.

Those glossy horror filled eyes only reminded him of the look she had when she had told him of the events that had stolen her from him, that had left him cold without her love. He fully attacked Chanda now, his fangs sinking into her shoulder as she yowled in pain, her body tensing up as she struggled to free herself from his grasp.

Her back paws kicked into his lower stomach as she dug her claws into his shoulders, trying to push them apart as he let go, his giant paw only slashed across her face, making her see stars as her eyes stung from the bite of his claws. “Stop!” She cried out, she turned now, free enough to try and run for it, and run she did.

Watching her run, the mimicking laughter of the spirits danced in his head, how he had paid for his wicked ways, how they had hurt who he loved most, had wanted without knowing it fully. They had killed what would have been the start of his family, he raced after her. He would make them pay, his length ate up the distance that separated them.

She glanced over her should, and the sight of him closing in on her only made her run fast, her heart racing in her chest as she cried out for help. She didn’t know what else to do, he was much larger than she was, and he seemed hell bent on taking a chunk out of her hide, and she had no idea what caused him to want to do so.

He grew closer, and as he neared he kicked off the earth and went soaring into the air as he leapt onto her back, biting into the side of her head and causing her to fall head first into the earth with a sickening thud, she didn’t move now. She was stunned with disbelief and pain as he moved his biting fangs from her neck, and into her shoulder, ripping into her, his back paws clawing into her lower back as she laid there, mews and cries echoing out into the nights air.

He released his grip of her, blood and fur clinging to his muzzle and claws as he eyed his work, the rage inside of him silent for the moment, he panted heavily as he eyed her uneven breathing he snorted. “Take that message to the spirits as a warning.” He said with a snarl as he turned away now, padding back into the shadows, but not towards the pride he loved and called home, oh no, he would not be returning home yet.

Not yet at all.

Chanda laid there silent for what seemed to be hours, her body screaming out in pain as the night drew on, but she didn’t move. Fearful that he was still around and watching, unsure if he’d attack her again or not, she laid there and prayed for death.

As the sun slowly began to rise over the land, her eyes closed as the rays began to glide over her frame, she slowly, but surely rose to her paws, her body weak from the attack and wounds that now covered her body. Her throat was achy and sore from her screams and protests, but now, silently she walked towards the pride she would call home.

She didn’t need to question her choice now, males..couldn’t be trusted. Her heartaches at the thought, well most of them couldn’t be. She had met one male, that had proven to be different than the rest..But as she limped and dragged herself forwards, she prayed that she would make it.

Prayed that she would find her new home soon.
