There was a special section of the school set aside for gardens. Each dorm had them, and the school had a general garden area. It was rather up kept, and though no club existed, it was in general considered super rude to go in and garden in an area that was not your own. Sadly, some parts of the garden were not that well marked off, leading to the occasional confusion. No one had told King that the patch of soft soil he’d found was actually part of a garden, so burying his bone there didn’t seem like a big deal. That had been a week or so ago. His bone should be nice and flavorful by now. It was an acquired taste really, rotting bone. Trotting over, even if he was in a more human form, it didn’t stop him from ignoring the ghoul who was currently gardening in favor of digging up his bone. That was, if he could find it.

Anna's default activity, what she did when she felt most in need of grounding, was gardening - burying her hands in the earth was relaxing, soothing, even though she no longer had the magical connection to the element that she'd once possessed. And right now, the day after awakening from that weird Trance thing, she definitely needed some grounding. Her head still felt muzzy around the edges. She'd seen through someone else's eyes, tasted his thoughts - and he hadn't been nice at all! He'd been so mean! And he hadn't listened to any of her pleading to stop being such a jerk. He'd enjoyed it! And then he'd... he'd... Well, even jerks didn't deserve to die like that. The sense of death - permanent death - still weighed heavily on the witchling's heart. Thus, she was elbow-deep in dirt, weeding and trimming and tending to the plants, trying not to think about what she had seen and utterly failing.

Failing to find his bone in the spot he was sure he'd left it in, the wolfos moved a bit over, digging up that portion as well. Small veggies flew back, splattering on the ground and he ignored the fact he was ruining someone's garden. Claws dug through the earth and slowly, King realized he might not be looking in the right area. Sniffing he didn't smell bone. He just smelled dirt. Maybe someone had found it? Taken it? The thought made his fur stand on end. He really wanted his bone. He'd been saving it and well. He was having a craving. Looking up and over, the sigh of a ghoul gardening made him c**k his head. "Hrm, pardon but have you seen a bone anywhere by chance? In the dirt I mean."

Anna jumped - she hadn't seen the boil approach, she'd been so focused on working the earth. "Oh! I, uh, sorry, you... I didn't see you," she managed, heart pounding more than it had a right to be. She'd been jumpy ever since waking up. "N-no, I haven't seen any bones... are you looking for one? There's plenty over by the undead dorms though, um, I think some of them might belong to people," she added, biting her lip. She didn't really know any undead people.

So, she hadn't seen any bones? The wolfos looked at the area she was working in, pausing to sniff at the earth. It didn't smell like bone. Had it been stolen? He was fighting the urge to sling accusations but- "are you sure? And no, not a student's bone, a bone bone. For eating." That didn't mean he didn't cast a glance towards the undead dorms. If they had free bones... he'd be all over that. They could spare a few right? "I buried a bone here not that long ago, and now I seem to be unable to find it."

"No, I don't think so... I haven't been digging too deep, though. Did you, um, put it between plants, or under one? How long ago?" Anna was vaguely surprised at herself, but she didn't want this boil to dig up the plants to get to his bone - and the puzzle of the bone's location was kind of a nice distraction. "If it had, um, anything meaty on it, the plants might have tried to grow over it for the extra food... um. M-my name's Anna, by the way," she said, drawing on her courage.

Shaking his head, King motioned to the area he'd just dug up. I buried it just over there, but, now I am not so sure." He could have sworn that was just where he'd put it, but at this point, he might have better luck guessing. "It had some meat on it but, there were only weed I think around it." Actually, they had been herbs, but King didn't know the difference. "If something grew into it, its possible that it was pulled up with weeds? And I am Frost in the Storm miss Anna." His ears flicked over to the other side of the garden. "....Are there any minipets that live in the soil here? Do you think its possible a minipet found it?"

"Ummm... I don't know? Maybe? This isn't really my garden. I just came out here to, um... kinda work some things out..." Anna gave him a wary, sidelong look. "Umm... were you, um, maybe part of that... that trance thing?"

Sighing King was close to giving up. Farewell sweet bone, how he would miss thee. The question about the trance got his attention however and he slumped. "Yes. It was ... interesting. I was not away such even happened but I cannot help but wonder if they were manipulated by the horsemen." Shaking his head he looked in the direction of their camp. "I am wary of them and their motives. They do not seem... wholly honest."

"I-I don't even know what the Horsemen are, really," Anna confessed, feeling a flood of guilty relief. Maybe she could talk to this boil, a little bit? She felt so lost, so confused about what she'd been shown - and why it had been shown to them in the first place. "All I know is they showed up after, um, I guess something happened in their home lands? And that field trip... I didn't go on it, but I heard some people - students - died..." She gave King a look of vague distress. "Do you think what they showed us was true? Y-you were in someone's mind too... right?"

Ah yes, that field trip. The one he'd stayed out of. For the best it had seemed. "Apparently, the claim is that some humans called hunters arrived and destroyed their homeland. Given the.. stories of these hunters I am not inclined to thinking they are absolutely true." Students got into blind rages and King was not trusting of words given with such high emotions. Crossing his arms his tail flicked as he thought about the trance. It was certainly.. interesting to say the least. "I think... what was shown to us must be taken with a grain of salt. The defenders are real enough. I saw an image of them and had it.. confirmed more or less. But I think trusting what is shown to us blindly is a fool's choice. To question, to seek truth can do no real harm after all" He sighed. "Personally I will seek more information and seek what truth has been given and what has been a lie."

"The... the person who's thoughts I saw... he was horrible! An awful, terrible person! He deserved whatever he got," Anna said, firmly. "B-but the others... I don't know. It was so strange... like a dream, but it felt so real." She could still feel that strange person's - Faysal's - memories in her head, stinging with his sharp and bitter personality. Of course he had... had died, or been taken, or whatever. He had been a bad person, and bad people got what they deserved eventually. But she couldn't reconcile that belief with what she'd seen happen to others. To 'good' people. "Hunters... th-those are just stories, right? Only, I asked another boil the same thing once, and he got really mad. Said he'd seen them, for real..."

Giving Anna a curious look he doubted anyone deserved to die. "I don't think it is.. fair to judge the dead. Never mind a dead youth our own age at that." His own memories were not that bad but it had been.. awkward. "Overall, I could do without the sitting in on another person's life." Getting up to dust himself off King wasn't sure how to answer the hunter question. "I think they exist to some extent? All lies often have a truth they are based upon."

Anna shrank back a tiny bit at what she saw as a subtle rebuke. "Y-you didn't hear what he was thinking," she said, finally, and shuddered. "I-I don't want to do anything like that ever again! Um...." She hesitated for a moment. "What was, um, the person you looked.... into? Sat in on? What were th-they like? Um, mine was in... S-scream?"

It must have been rather... traumatic then. "Part of why I hope no one goes in upon my thoughts. Such things are private and sharing them with the wrong person would be distressing. Take heart then that those we found ourselves in were not reflections of us." He was pretty sure they were not at least. Tail swaying back at forth he debated sharing. "They were in scream, yes. Overall they were simple self interested. Selfish is a bit sentimental. All that bothered me was the fact that I was privy to their thoughts. It seemed more invasive then necessary."
