What an eventful past couple of days... first the Andalite, then Akakios... Glaucon had been so inundated with new faces lately, he wondered if he would ever be able to wade past them and get to the familiar ones. And now, with the situation with Underworld's son that may or may not some sort of crisis, he found himself putting off his to-do list ever further as he pondered what to do about it.

First things first, he had to deliver the news of the child's disappearance and figure out how big a deal it actually was. Not knowing if he would have any luck finding someone outside, he retraced his steps back from whence he came and re-entered the library. Hopefully Akakios would still be there.

(( Post order Mouse, Me, Ceeda, Zero?))

Akakios was not there. Instead Cosine was sat on the floor in the main hall of the library. She was not alone. With the help of Kleo, her cat-like aoide she had brought the children in order to introduce them to the wonders of the library. So far they were all behaving themselves as they sat on the floor with her and listened to the number rhyme she was reading to them.

As Glaucon entered the library she looked up. There was something familiar about the god that stood in the entrance way, though she could not quite put her finger on what ...

Kyrie was happy to sit in the big hallway and listen to her mother's voice rise and fall with the rhythm of rhyme. Every once in a while, she couldn't help but bounce her head up and down with the words. They were fun and she opened her beak to try to mimic them, but a soft caw escaped instead. Closing her beak, she looked to her mother for the next line, then blinked when she noticed her looking past them. Turning her head, her eyes widened.

New person!

Pushing herself up to her feet, she ruffled her tail feathers and reached out to tug on her mother's silky robes. Clacking her beak, she gave a questioning look and pointed to the new face.

Click to show. This place was a little strange, full of taaaaaaaaaaall shelves she could not reach, and to be honest she was not certain if she liked it or not. But mommy and her siblings were here, so it was not really that bad. Mommy was singing and it was pretty.

When Kyrie got up, Caelia turned to look - was daddy coming ? But now, the strange man was definitively not her daddy.

Hm !

This certainly warranted some exploration, but at first Caelia simply smiled an huge smile and waved. Hello, new person !

"Akakios? Are you still in here?"

Glaucon called tentatively into the library, but there was no immediate answer. It looked like Lament was out. Instead, his melancholic presence had been replaced by a soft female voice... very familiar... being lifted into the air of the room by an equally familiar figure sitting on the floor. Dark crow wings, green wisps of fractals, reciting a number poem... well, there was no one else it could be, now was there?

"Ah, Cosine? It's been far too long..." he greeted, with a bow and a bit of stress in his voice. The noise of smaller footsteps made his eyes dart around to find their source, and he became aware of the three other, much smaller presences in the room.

More children. Of course it would be more children. He gave the waving one an awkward nod, completely unsure of himself around the young gods.

...did one of them have a crow head? How... unusual.

Isi had been laying on the floor, looking up at the hiiigh ceiling as he listened to the number poem. He liked the library, well he liked the decor at least. The high arches and carvings.

As his sisters stirred and his mother stopped reading he glanced over at the new person.

Cosine smirked a little at her daughters excitement and nodded to the newcomer. He seemed to know her at least, that only made her failure to remember him all the more embarrassing. Though the familiarity ... David? But this was not David, this was the god that had chosen him.
"Glaucon?" She ventured. Judgement.

Kyrie looked to her mother at her questioning tone. She did not seem alarmed. Perhaps this was a new friend? Letting her mother's robes go, she started to toddle over to the new face. Cawing cheerfully, she paused and her eyes widened when the light of the library caught the glittery wings on his back. Bouncing, she clapped her hands and called out to her brother and sister.

'Look!' she turned and pointed excitedly to the glittery gold feathers that were oh so deliciously shiny.

Click to show. When Kyrie seemed to deem the strange man safe, Caelia did get up to make her way toward the god of Judgement as well, thought thankfully Augury seemed less interested in stealing feathers. She had her own, after all, and that was enough. Through daddy's were quite pretty...

Her head tilted to the side just the slightest bit as she looked up at him. Those were pretty eyes !

"'lo." Would he pick her up ? That would be fun !

The venture was one worth taking. "Yes," he answered, giving a smile of acknowledgement. "It is excellent to see you have returned more fully to power -- but... ah..."

It seemed he was becoming the center of attention. The crow-child looked just about ready to climb up on him, and the other little girl's grin just kept getting wider and wider with every passing second. It was a far cry from the surlier attitude of the young Guardian, whose escape from the Pantheon was still fresh on his mind.

"Yes... hello..." he offered awkwardly, then brought his attention back to Cosine. "I would enjoy a chance at catching up with you, but for now -- you wouldn't happen to know of Guardian, Underworld's son?"

And furthermore, just who were these children anyway? He gave another look at all three of them, and slowly began to realize... they all bore some similarity to Lady Number. The quieter boy had her hair color, the bright-smiling one had some of her face, and those small feathery wings, and... well, the little Crow was obvious. As realization dawned on him, the surprise began to show through on his face as well.

Just how many gods were off multiplying nowadays?

Cosine watched the girls as they wandered over to him and smiled at Kyrie's excitement. Yep, they were shiny, though they also looked rather sharp.
"Kyrie, Cae ... careful" She stood and walked towards the girls, one hand resting on Kyrie's feathered head.
"Guardian? Soto?" That was an unexpected question, she had not seen Soto in a long long time. A strange look crossed his face, surprise? confusion? She followed his gaze to the children and smirked.
"He is my nephew. Though I have not seen him in a while. I understand he is quite elusive."

Kyrie chortled happily when her sister joined her on the new adventure of meeting a new person. Fluffing her feathery wings, she looked up at her mother as she joined them as well, then turned her blue eyes back up to Judgement. Her eyes ran hungrily over his shiny wings, then began to notice the sheen on his hands.

Ooooo!

Stepping closer, she reached up and gently ran her dark fingers over the back of his shiny gold hand. They were so much prettier than her boring dark hands.

Augury pouted a little bit, but Glaucon was saved from further mobbing by tiny godlings by something that caught the little girl's attention - she blinked and turned, making her way toward the window a little clumsily, and resting her hand on the surface of the glass.

There were birdies outside !

Cosine's knowing smirk was met with an accusatory quirk of the eyebrow. Unspoken communications were abound in this encounter. These are your children, aren't they? was written clearly in Glaucon's gaze, while the Number goddess's little smile most likely conveyed the message well of course they are, whose else would they be? Lord Silence would have undoubtedly gotten some amusement out of the exchange, especially given Judgment's uncertainty on how to conduct himself in their presence. He was most certainly not in his element among children.

The fact that she was Guardian's aunt, of all things, raised even further questions -- just how did that come about? Number was no natural sister to Underworld -- but he kept them to himself for the moment for the sake of staying on topic. "Elusive?" he repeated. "Does that mean escapades out of the Pantheon are something he does often?"

Well, that was one way to breach the subject.

The feel of tiny hands grasping one of his own gave Glaucon another round of pause, as he discovered the Crow examining his fingers as if they were some kind of rare treasure. He supposed they were rather shiny, but had never really given much thought to them save for their blessed familiarity. Either way, Cae -- or Kyrie? Which one was which? -- wasn't doing any harm or getting into any trouble occupying herself with it, so he sidled over to a nearby chair and sat down, extending his arm out so she would have a better reach.

Isi was mildly interested by the stranger. He watched him talk to his mum for a moment until Cae broke away to look out the window. Isidore pushed himself to his feet and wandered after Caelia.
"Wha?" He asked, peering out the window too.

"Well, from what I understand he is often wandering off and getting himself into trouble." She knew this from conversations with Echo, Ankou and Kios. "Outside of the pantheon though ... I am not sure." She turned her green eyes to her daughter who seemed to be fixated on Glau's hand.
"Is she bothering you? She has an obsession with shiny things."

Kyrie trailed after Glaucon to his seat and she ruffled her feathers happily when he extended his arm out at Kyrie level. Continuing to trace her fingers over his hand and arm, she began to twist it gently so it would catch the light. Sooooo pretty. Glancing over to her mommy's friend, her eyes were once again caught on his shiny wings. They weren't the same as her mommy and daddy's wings. They were a different shiny. Wanting to get a closer look, she walked over to his knees and started to struggle to pull herself up into his lap.
