The winged mare smirked as she looked down at her kill. The deer had it coming and more then that it was bringing back memories of her brother. Most of the time she wouldn't mind, but this one particular memory was a favorite of hers. It was back when she was a young adult and she had just injured a deer for her brother to experiment on. He usually made her commit the violent acts while he did the scientific aspect of it, but there were rare occasions when he would attack something. He was worse then her and would tear something to shreds fairly easy. She wasn't like that and would rather watch the animal suffer slowly then let it die quickly. As she remembered more of the event at hand she could remember her brother praising her for catching such a fine animal and keeping it alive.
"Good job..sister." The older kalona murmured as he lashed his tail once before stepping over to the deer.
"Heh it was nothing compared to what I usually down.." The mare smiled almost looking insane with the blood smeared across her muzzle.
"Your learning and for that I am proud, but your still weak. Do you expect to survive off of how you are? You have to be cold and vicious. Don't feel remorse and don't feel anything for anyone but yourself. Even me sis...If I came at you I would expect you to turn around and attack me back. Don't ever hold yourself back." He sneered out at his sister before resting his hoof on the deer's neck before pressing down hard. The cries from the animal went silent. His silent look turned almost malicious in an instant as he curled his tail around the deer's neck.
"I'm not weak.." The young mare spat out at him.
In one swift motion the stallion knocked the mare to the ground and growled down at her. "Then prove it."
As the memory faded in her mind she would never forget what her brother said to her that day. Most would hate a memory like that, but she could never. He help made her a better kalona. Someone who didn't care about anything or anyone. She was stronger now, much stronger then she was before when that memory took place. She knows she would never be as strong as her brother. His maniacal nature made him much stronger then he looked, but she would at least be as strong as she could be.
Flicking her wings, she licked her muzzle of the blood that lingered there before eyeing the remains of the carcass before her. She ate her fill and looked around. Could there be something she could do? Something to test her strength? She smirked at the thought. Her brother always had her in his best interest and she had him in hers. For her time spent with her brother it was a time where she lost her sanity. A time where she fell into a dark pit with no light seeping in. She would never be able to pull herself out of what she made herself become. She is living proof that insanity will rule you once you let it in.
