(Long, like year-old overdue log)
Sin:
Sin had finished practice and taken a quick shower, she brushed out her hair and then examined her reflection. How vain could she be, apparently very. Still it was hard, she was going on a date...well no not really, she was going to have a picnic with her Raven. Rosc, she had to remind herself, it was Rosc, but deep down she still thought of all the sweet things he had said to her under his pen name. She flicked her hair back and turned to head out and down the hall. She knocked at his door surprised again how close he had been all along. Huh, she probably should have brought food...well they could stop by her suite and raid her fridge for picnic goods.

Rosciel:
Rosc opened the door not terribly long after she had knocked. He was much more together now, hair combed and tied back, clean bandages around his torso, the short, dark gold bracer from his father fastened to his left wrist/arm. His coat was throw over the chair, his pin was fastened on a belt-loop. Ripley sniffed up at Sin from the crook of his left arm.

Funny thing was, his room was in shambles. Or, as much in shambles as it could be when he didn't have much stuff in it. He usually kept it rather well-kept, bed made, drawers and cabinets closed, his clothes hung up or in a basket in his closet (If they were dirty), curtains tied off when they were open. In the time she had gone down to practice, something had happened that cause his closet door to be open, dirty pants and bandages and socks and shirts all over the floor, half of the curtains untied, random drawers open, papers... It was a mess.

"If you're wondering, it wasn't me," he said with a small sigh before moving away from the door to get his coat.

Sin:
Sin blinked as the door opened to a scene of total shambles, she stepped inside after him and looked around. "You were robbed?" She asked with a half laugh and then turned back to watch as he grabbed his coat. She was curious what had happened but he sounded a bit upset over whatever it was. Should she ask? She wouldn't have hesitated to once...but things were different now, so she held her tongue.

Rosciel:
Rosc snorted at her question and shook his head.
"I was rabbit'd," he replied once he'd thrown his coat on and stuck Ripley in one pocket, quickly grabbing a bag he had set by the door and ushering her out as if he was afraid something would come back if they stayed too long.

"One of my pets keeps playing tricks on me. She'll drag my coat off the chair or take out my dirty pants or leave a drawer slightly open. And under the clothes or in the drawer, she'll leave a rabbit which will get into everything if I don't get it fast enough," he explained while he locked the door.

"I have a blanket, a few snack foods, and a sandwich. I would have made you one, but I realized half-way through making mine that we never talked about food preferences," he added, with a small shrug. He could have assumed from the foods she'd had served at the demon party, but that was fingerfood, not lunch.

Sin:
"Ahh mini troubles, I feel your pain..." She walked out with him and glanced back over her shoulder with a shake of her head. She looked down at the bag and then smiled, well seemed he'd already thought of it.

"I'll try almost anything once." She grinned and walked along wondering if he already had a spot in mind as well. "So what do you like to eat anyway?" She decided to start small and work slowly back up to where they had been before.

Rosciel:
Rosc paused as they walked down the hall, tilting his head a bit at her.
"Fearless, huh?" he asked with a hint of a smile.

"Maybe you should grab something, though. There's not quite enough for both of us." On top of that, he only had one chilled bottle of soda. They could share, but... Well, his only qualm really was that he didn't think there would be enough. He probably should have grabbed more, but he hadn't gone shopping lately, so he didn't have a terribly large amount of food to begin with. Which was saying something, considering he preferred eating things that he made himself. 'Note to self, go to the store soon,' he thought.

Sin:
"Not exactly fearless, but I enjoy exploration and challenges." She nodded and stopped in front of her suite. "Sure I'll grab some more stuff, I always keep my fridge stocked. I don't really like most of what they serve in the cafeteria." She had a refined sense of taste forced on her by both her parents who cringed when she ate what they referred to as 'commoners scraps'. Fries, chips, and cookies were strictly forbidden in the Err household. However Sin had come to school and found the freedom to test all the delicious things her parents had never let her. She did however still watch what she ate, mother would swoop down on her if she so much as gained a dress size.

She walked in and motioned to a chair, "have a seat I'll only be a second..." She moved into her kitchenette and pulled out some slime soda and then rifled through pre packaged foods grabbed a small sushi tray and checking an elegantly wrapped container of left-overs from some fancy catering service. She put everything into a bag and then smiled. "Okay all set...oh let me grab something for dessert." She walked back to pull out a baggy of slightly burned edged cookies. They looked to be baked from scratch not store bought like everything else she had packed.

Rosciel:
Instead of sitting, Rosc simply stood by the door, leaning back against the wall. From there he watched her getting her things together. He also took a look around her room, it seemed like her. Rich and stylish and ghouly. He wondered if the fabrics were all as soft as he figured they might be. He was the one with the texture preferences, but he doubted that she would want anything less than soft or silky. She really liked Ripley's fur, after all.

"Cookies? Make them yourself?" he asked, looking at the bag. It was more of a tease, he didn't really know, couldn't really tell. They just looked like cookies to him, he couldn't tell between store-bought and hand-made.

Sin:
"Yeah actually I did..." She sounded a bit anxious about it and slipped them into the bag. "Alright...let's go." She didn't want to dwell on the cookies, or on the first twelve batches that had been burned to a crisp. After her fight with Rosc she had sort of hit a slump in her baking. Luckily she seemed to have pulled herself out of it, sort of. Then again Sin had never exactly been very good at cooking. Her mother had laughed when she had asked for lessons, then she had been given the number to the family caterer.

She looked at Rosc as they stepped out again and flicked her hair back. "So did you have a spot picked out?"

Rosciel:
Rosc followed Sin out of her suite. As much as his feelings were for her, he still had problems turning his back on others. He had been distracted the few times she had hugged him, had been too focused on other things to really feel uncomfortable. If she tried reaching her hands around him when he was in a more alert state, he would likely ask her to stop.

"Your mother let you learn to bake? Somehow I can't imagine that." There was a bit of a tease in his tone, but the statement was still true. He didn't believe her mother would have, not after what Sin had told him about her. Her father maybe, he seemed rather practical. But not her mother.

"I didn't. I've notice there aren't many private areas around the school,. Shouldn't have been very surprised," he replied, shrugging a bit.

Sin:
"Well...she didn't really, I just sort of snuck into the kitchen and taught myself. I never really got cooking down, but I can sort of bake simple stuff. I've got slime jelly molds down to an artform, cookies are simple, my cakes sorta leave something to be desired." She shrugged and then glanced at him wondering what he was thinking.

"We could go down near the lake, it's usually pretty quiet...I've been swimming there after practices in the evening." Well okay that wasn't quite true. She had been practicing drowning with Calder more then swimming.

Rosciel:
Rosc couldn't help but chuckle a bit.
"Did she ever find out?" he asked, turning his head towards her. He wasn't an exceptional cook and he didn't know how to bake at all. Baking took too many recipes. It was much easier to throw things into a pan of oil or sauce or some other liquid base and just stir-fry it or boil it or whatever. No recipe was really needed there, at least not one that was easily forgotten or mixed up.
And sandwich making... He had that down pat.

"They're probably better than anything I could bake. And that's why I don't," he added and looked towards the lake.
"I don't see much of a problem with that, just as long as you don't expect me to take a dip."

Sin:
"Luckily not yet, but she has a way of finding out everything so it's only a matter of time." She pushed her hair back and shrugged, obviously Sin adored her mother despite feeling smothered at times. She glanced at Rosc curiously as they headed towards he lake.

"You don't swim?" Hmm that was interesting, maybe he didn't know how, or maybe he just disliked the water. Her eyes lingered for a moment on his bandaged chest before she turned to try and pick a good spot to set up their lunch. If Rosc was self conscious about his scars that too would explain his reluctance to strip down for a swim.

Rosciel:
Rosc didn't know how to feel at her question. Was he still separated from what he had said in his eee!-mails in her mind, or was it just that she simply didn't remember? He really hoped for the latter.

"Not really. These wings aren't really meant for water," he replied, glancing over to see if that jogged her memory. He could have sworn they had talked about swimming once, that he'd told her he could, but didn't enjoy it because his wings bogged him down for the most part. He didn't have a problem with water, sometimes a hot bath was good for his aches, but if he was going to swim, he'd be doing it for exercise and he couldn't do that effectively with his wings.
On top of that, he'd had privacy at home to swim if he wanted. Here... too many eyes.

Sin:
"That's right your wings..." She looked at him again a long moment as if trying to merge him with the Raven she was so familiar with. "And your discomfort around crowds..." She glanced along the edge of the lake an pointed to a secluded spot a bit higher up. "How's that?"

Hmm she hadn't expected this to feel so awkward and she felt a twinge of guilt ontop of it all. She had ripped Rosc and Raven apart in her mind and she seemed to be having a tough time stitching them back together. Rosc was so quiet and secluded...and intimidating.

Rosciel:
Rosc's gaze followed her hand to the spot and nodded.
"It seems fine," he replied and his head dipped slightly. He was being short with her, he knew it. It was different, finally being able to talk with her without having to listen to a damn program say her words. His head turned towards Sin.

He studied her for a moment. She was tense, looked troubled, and he had a good feeling that it was partly his fault. No, mostly his fault. He was cold and standoffish, but he hadn't been when they had talked. It was different, this was difficult, but he wanted, no he needed to try.
"I think I remember you saying something about liking to swim. Do you come to the lake sometimes for that?" he asked, one eyebrow rising slightly.

Sin:
She headed up to the spot and set her things down stepping back to let Rosc lay out the blankets. She glanced at the lake before turning back with a nod. "Oh, yeah every evening I come out for a swim...I have someone who uh watches." She thought of Calder and the drowning lessons and wished...heck why not? She told Raven everything so why should she hide this from Rosc? She licked her lips and slowly moved to sit down.

"Actually he watches and tries not to drown me, I mean I swim around and sort of drown a little to help him gain some self control. He's a kelpie...so...he's been having some issues and needed someone." There, honesty that wasn't so bad right?

Rosciel:
Rosc set his bag down and removed the blanket while Sin talked about swimming. It was an older blanket that he'd mostly brought for Ban to lie on if she ever felt like it, but that didn't make it terribly less soft than all of the other cloths in his room. He was just shaking it out of the folds when she continued, explaining what she meant by someone watching.

His second thought was that there was his Sin. Looking out for others, trying to help, generally being a good friend.
But it was his first that came out of his mouth.
"Tell me he has some sort of restraint on him when you're doing this," he said, tensing slightly. He was sure she was a fantastic swimmer, but a kelpie... Worry creased his brow as he turned a small frown towards her.

Sin:
"Well he's not actually allowed in the water due to some...incidents. I trust the professors restrictions to hold, but just incase I included some restrictions of my own when I made the deal to help him. Really it's perfectly safe, and it's been working pretty well." She smiled and helped him smooth out the blanket.

Was that a protective tone she had caught in Rosc's voice? Or was she just so used to her Raven being...but Rosc WAS Raven, she just wasn't sure which parts had survived that revelation.

Rosciel:
The tension eased from him, slowly but surely, as the folds were smoothed out of the blanket. Rosc waved a hand, gesturing from Sin to the blanket, indicating that she should sit first. He had no preferences to sides, just as long as she wasn't sitting behind him, but maybe she did.
That silent suggestion made, he removed Ripley from his pocket and set her down on the front edge of the blanket, facing the lake, where she proceeded to look around curiously.

"That's good. I figured that you had, but... Was just checking," he said, reaching up to rub the back of his neck slightly.
"It's helping him, I take it?"

Sin:
She moved to sprawl happily a moment before sitting up and tucking her legs under her in a more proper position. Her eyes followed Ripley out of Rosc's pocket and onto the edge of the blanket with a smile. "I'm sure she's glad to get out..."

She moved to start pulling things out of her bag and set them out. "Yeah he's improving a lot, we've been keeping it private though so hopefully his progress will really shine through soon." She looked at Rosc a moment, she was tempted to ask him to keep it to himself, but she already knew he would. Wasn't that why she had been so trusting? Her Raven had had her complete confidence, so she had to get used to Rosc having it to.

Rosciel:
As soon as Sin sat down, Ripley clambered into her lap, favoring the sprained paw.
Rosc chuckled a bit as he sat down beside her.
"I'm pretty sure, too" he replied and took his own food out of his bag. Sandwich, water, and a small bag of crackers came out first. But then he drew two almost purple apples and a dark red pomegranate. He took a small pocket knife from the pocket Ripley had not occupied, and cut a slice from one of the apples, then cut that in half.

"Wish to try?" he asked, holding one of the pieces to her while he popped the other half into his mouth. Most fruits were more difficult to chew than most things, simply because most of his teeth were for tearing, not chewing, but it was worth the effort. A lot like Sin, difficult, but worth it.

Sin:
Sin smiled as Ripley moved into her lap, her fingers came up to stroke slowly down the foxsquirrels spine. She looked up curiously as Rosc pulled out his things. He seemed to have such simple tastes but the fruit he pulled out looked exotic. She smiled and took the slice he offered curiously taking a bite.

She flipped the top off her sushi and slid the tray in between them. One hand stayed on Ripley softly stroking her, she still felt guilty for Pantaloons and Ladyluv's actions.

Rosciel:
Ripley made a weird sort of purr sound at the pettings which made Rosc smile a bit. The apple was sweet, almost like candy to the point where a slice or two was enough at a time.
"Sushi?" he asked, unwrapping the sandwich and taking a bite. As he chewed, he pulled a small bit of the meat, what looked to be very thinly sliced and very pink steak, out to offer to Ripley who chomped it happily.

"I'm actually a little surprised that you have time for a picnic. FEARleading, helping other students, Lucky 13, and all on top of your work for class, must get really busy," he said, stretching his legs out in front of him, setting one arm back to keep himself propped up.

Sin:
"Yeah want some?" She finished off the slice of sweet apple and pulled out a bottle of sparkling water. After a few sips to cleanse her palate she popped an intricate sushi roll into her mouth. She offered Ripley another one curious if the foxsquirrel would take the fishy taste.

"I'm sorry I probably shouldn't I'll spoil her..." She gave Rosc a sheepish smile and opened a napkin to wipe her fingers clean. "Actually I mange to make myself free time, I like to study pretty late so that helps. Most of my classes are spaced out nicely, and Fearleading practice is either early mornings or after class. Lucky 13 is sort of on my mind no matter what...and helping others...isn't REALLY a priority...it just happens I guess."

Rosciel:
Rosc hesitated a moment.
"Sure," he said after that pause for thought and picked up one of the sushi rolls.
"I don't think you will. Most of them get table scrapes, the good ones anyway. If they weren't already spoiled by now, I would think nothing could do so," he added, slipping the roll into his mouth. It was... interesting, he'd never been a huge fan of fish, but it wasn't bad. Ripley seemed to think so too, as she took a sniff, then testing nibbles, then bites as large as her little mouth could take.

"I forgot how organized you were." Rosc couldn't help but hold the small smile. She really did have things all straightened out here. Good for her.

Sin:
Sin smiled and lightly scratched Ripley behind her ears. "Slow down, there's plenty." She laughed and then looked at Rosc trying to judge how much he liked it. He wasn't gagging at least which was good. She brushed a strand of hair back and then shook her head.

"Organized? Not really...I mean...I try to be but it's never quite right. My mother makes it look so easy, it's hard knowing how to juggle everything...drop one and...your in danger of the whole act being ruined." She looked at him startled for a moment as if realizing who she was actually speaking too. She felt her cheeks heat and glanced back down at Ripley. "I'm sorry...we probably shouldn't talk so much about...personal stuff."

Rosciel:
Sin was so good with Ripley. He was glad that she liked his pets, that they liked her. He doubted there would be a single one who wouldn't, besides Cathal, but the scareon didn't much like anyone. Bob would probably cling to her the first chance he got, which would lead to immediate booting back to the closet, if Rosc was around.

Hearing her laugh warmed him. Being able to listen to her at all made him feel relaxed, content.
And then she looked away from him and said things that made his smile fall.
"If you don't feel comfortable, that's fine, but..." He didn't know how to finish that sentence. He was always so guarded, it was hard to type things, even harder to say them. Even when they were eee!-mailing, he had mostly let her talk, would try and help her with her problems. What he shared were mostly his daily events and anecdotes that he thought would help her. And yet he'd shown her much of himself, just in the advice he'd given.

He set his sandwich down and touched her hand with just the tips of his fingers.
"How was practice this morning?" Hopefully the change of subject would make her feel more comfortable.

Sin:
But? She tilted her head wondering what he was thinking and wishing she knew how to go back to how freeing it felt to be able to share everything. Her lips smoothed into a straight line when he mentioned fearleading before she forced a smile.

"It's good...I mean...I love it don't get my wrong, but I feel like there's something missing. We aren't close like my mother always made it seem I would be. I barely know most of the other fearleaders. I think the captain still hates me..." She shook her head and sighed.

Rosciel:
"No offense, but your captain is stupid if she still hates you," Rosc replied, slowly moving his hand about so that he could slip it under hers. Ripley was not put off by this, but it also meant she wasn't getting scritches anymore, so she nuzzled at their hands before going back to her sushi.

"I want us to be able to talk like we used to, as unrealistic as that sounds." The words were out before he could really curb his tongue. But then, why should he? Hadn't he always said he was an honest person? Yes, but not saying everything wasn't dishonest. But he couldn't just leave his earlier statement hanging as it had been. He needed her to know where he stood.

Sin:
"I didn't exactly make a very good first impression...and like I said we really haven't...bonded. I wish we could though it would really help I think. I don't know...my mother made it sound like her fellow fearleaders were practically sisters. I guess I just expected...too much." She softly wrapped her fingers around Rosc's hand and felt some of the tension ease out of her shoulders. It was as if his physical presence was doing what his letters once had to relax her.

"We'll get there...I'm just...I don't want you to suddenly realize..." She shook her head trying to find the right words. "I just don't want you to regret anything..." She finally had to settle for that, because she didn't know how to explain how afraid she was without sounding incredibly pathetic.

Rosciel:
His hand slipped from hers when she had finished, moving to pick up her sushi tray and setting it in front of her. Now that it wasn't between them, he lifted himself up slightly so that he could move closer to her. His hand touched her opposite cheek, pressing just enough to make sure she looked at him.

"Hurting you is the only regret I've ever had. You're not as vain or self-serving as you think you are, not from what I can tell. I'm not going to wake up one morning and suddenly change my mind on that," Rosc replied, rubbing his thumb ever so slightly over her skin. He didn't smile, his face was serious.

Sin:
For a moment Sin was mildly startled by how comforting it was to feel Rosc move closer. She turned to look at him and then wished she could turn away again. He looked honest, and she was terrified that she wouldn't be able to match that honesty. "I wish I had reacted differently..." She murmured softly and then arched up to plant a soft kiss at the corner of his mouth.

"It's just hard...in person you're so quiet...and you look so...intimidating." She gave a half smile and leaned back again her fingers softly stroking his hand. "I'm still just having trouble putting your two sides together."

Rosciel:
Rosc smiled slightly when she kissed him.
"I don't blame you for it. We both made mistakes and we're past that now." He wanted to say that they would probably make more mistakes in the future, but then she probably knew that. Mistakes happened, there was nothing they could do to prevent them. All they could do was remember that they cared for one another.

One eyebrow rose.
"I'm intimi-... Well, I do try to give people the idea that I want to be left alone," he sort of mused aloud. His head tilted slightly. He didn't want to give her that impression though. Sure, he didn't mind her thinking that he could intimidate those that bothered her, but he did not want to intimidate her.
"Can you imagine me tormenting my mentor or stringing the kitsune up by his feet from the gallery, now though?" he asked, smirking a bit as he reminded her of some of the exploits he had related to her.

Sin:
She relaxed at his words, yes the mistakes were past now they just had to recapture their special ease and trust again. She grinned at bit, he sounded surprised that she found him intimidating. He was quiet and his ability to somewhat see when he appeared totally blind was a bit unnerving. His scowl combined with his horns and fang like teeth added another level of danger. Then there was the torn wing, he was like a wounded animal, possibly weak due to injury, but more likely a dangerous survivor.

She laughed remembering some of his stories and lightly tapped his hand. "It's no wonder he sent you to school, he's hoping they'll teach you some manners. I'd like to meet your club someday...they all sound interesting."

Rosciel:
Rosc chuckled and nodded his head a bit.
"I doubt it's that. More like he just got sick of teaching me himself, and didn't want to pay for tutors," he replied, smirking. He wanted her to meet his "family," too. He thought Rosanna would like her, and hate her all at the same time. They seemed to have a number of things in common, attractive and clever, intelligent, stylish (from what he could tell), and more or less kind to others. The only problem is that Rosanna was possessive and he was her baby, he had no doubts of that.
He couldn't imagine her taking terribly well to a ghoul who could successfully take him away.

Nic would think she was a good influence. Good family with strong ties, ambitious, it was everything his mentor had wanted to see in him. To be a model demon.
And Akariel would probably be perverted, jokey, and happy that Rosc had finally opened up to someone all at the same time.

"I'd think I'd like you to meet them sometime, too. I'm sure they'd like to meet you."

Sin:
"He sounded quite patient to me judging by some of your antics." She laughed and relaxed a bit more leaning slightly against him and then opening the bag of cookies. She offered him the bag and took a cookie for herself, it was a bit black around the edges but certainly delicious in the center.

"You've met my parents...well sort of. Mother is good about the guest list usually knowing everyone, father can get a bit more absent minded about it. He's usually more concerned about safety as long as no one is invited who's dangerous." She nibbled a burned edge getting past the taste.

Rosciel:
Rosc let go of her hand to set it somewhat behind her, supporting himself with that one while he reached the other into the bag to take a cookie.
"I really wasn't that bad to Nic. We normally only fought when he brought up social interaction," he explained, biting into the cookie. It was burned, but not terrible. He thought about suggesting she use a lower heat next time, but changed his mind.

"And Aka deserves everything he gets. He attacks me while I'm practicing, throws my bed linens in the lake, and sets traps around the club for me to stumble into," he added. Not to mention the kitsune had given Ban to him. Who was leaving him mischievous rabbits. He'd have to get back at Aka for that one.

"I think I wouldn't mind meeting your father. I'm afraid my lack of style would put me on your mother's bad side."

Sin:
"He sounds horrible, but since you probably give as good as you get I doubt he can be held too far in contempt." She seemed partially worried about the idea of Rosc falling into a trap and slightly amused at the thought of the almost brotherlike banter he seemed to share with the kitsune.

"Oh but Father doesn't even acknowledge anyone who can't get past my mother first. He calls her the bodyguard to his office...she calls it entertaining." Sin smirked and finished her cookie before pulling a napkin across her lap and wiping her fingers. She gave her head a little toss to get a few errant strands of hair back.

Rosciel:
Rosc tossed the remainder of the cookie into his mouth while she talked about her parents, flicking the crumbs from his fingers.
"Well, looks like I'll never meet your father then," he replied with a chuckle, giving her a hand by sliding the rest of her hair back from her face. It felt good to be able to touch her, after a year or more of just talking via words on a screen. That dance at her demons-only party had been a highlight of his time here.

"It's never anything harmful, and retrospectively, it's taught me to be on my guard."

Sin:
"I'm not sure how much help you really need with being on guard." She smiled at him and resisted leaning a bit closer, he was going tot hink she was...clingy. Ugh Sin did not want to seem desperate so she leaned back instead relaxing and leaving her weight on one outstretched palm.

"Maybe someday...mother will see...what I see..." She didn't elaborate, she couldn't gush out feelings she was afraid of.

Rosciel:
Rosc succeeded in not frowning when leaned she away slightly. Did she think he minded her being close? He didn't, as long as he could see her. Hell, there had been times when he hadn't even minded having her hands over his shoulders. He'd been distracted, of course, but it still said something.

"Well, there's a difference between being wary and actually being ready against sudden... attacks," he replied, considering how to respond to her comment about her mother. Something came to mind, but he wasn't sure she wanted that. She worked so hard to put up her facade, he didn't think she wanted her mother to see what he did.

"Maybe. I'll just have to try my best to be charming for her," he finally settled on.

Sin:
"Ah...yes well you seem wary enough to be ready for anything." She glanced at him and remembered all their shared talks of training and sparring. He was probably the only person in the school who realized Sin had been taught to defend herself. Not that she had needed those lessons a lot...well in ChristmasTown. She frowned at the memory of that tree trying to drag her away. She really ought to keep her own self defense training. She had become too confident that the school would keep her safe. So far she had encountered more peculiarities and dangers at school then she ever had at home.

"I'm sure you could be very charming if you wanted...you managed at the dance." She flashed him a smile and then sat up to start gathering things back up.

Rosciel:
A small laugh gathered in the back of Rosc's throat.
"Charming is much more difficult when you're not around," he replied honestly, for once just letting the words come out as they wanted to. He could relax around Sin. She knew things about him... that no one else did, or probably ever would. When they had eee!-mailed one another, he had just said what was on his mind (Except for when his appearance came up), a part of him didn't want to change that.
So it had effectively shot the censor.

Okay, so maybe it was tied up and gagged in the back of his mind, it didn't really matter either way.

Sin:
"You do need to work on your tact..." She smiled and put the sushi tray and such away. She almost wanted to lean back and just stay, but they were finished with lunch. She couldn't linger too long anyway if she wanted to squeeze in studying and she had Calder's lessons later. For a moment she wanted to close her eyes and fit a nap in somewhere, but it would have to wait. Maybe she could pencil in a nap between evening Fearleading practice and study time. No no she would oversleep instead of studying. Hmm perhaps she could sleep in over the weekend...but no she had practice one morning and there was a sale at the maul she wanted to check out the next. Ah well, naps weren't really her thing, maybe she could sleep during a relaxing hot bath...but she'd probably end up slipping under and drowning. She shook her head and then looked back at Rosc, besides why nap when she could spend her free time getting to know Rosc better?

Rosciel:
Rosc fought the urge to take her hand again.
"Packing up already?" he asked, unable to completely remove the disappointment from his voice. It seemed like they had just gotten out here... But he knew she was busy, she had so many things she had to do. She wasn't a slacker-wannabe like he was. He'd probably end up going back to his room to poke at the Human Studies creature Savage had given them. It was a very... unintelligent thing, something most of his other minipets snubbed. Except Ban. She apparently thought it was a ball to play with. Or something like that.

Sin:
"We can stay a little longer if you want? I just have some studying to do..." She was tempted to ask him to come study with her, but really how desperate did she want to seem? Take it slow Sin, she reminded herself, just because they had been close via eee!mails didn't mean she could just monopolize him. She packed her bag and then set it aside to move a little closer against him. She had to watch out for her spikes, she wasn't used to pressing up against anyones side.

"This was nice...just having some time..." She stopped because she wasn't sure what to say. Time with him? Free time? Time to get to know him? All of it, it had all been nice, just being with him. "I'm glad Ripley is okay..." She finally murmured and her fingers casually tried to slip against his as she leaned a little closer. Subtle...be more subtle she chided herself, what would her mother say? You're being foolish, that's what she would say, she would tell her to be more coy, to hold herself apart, make him work for attention. Except it all seemed rather petty after how honest she had been with him over the last year they had written.

Rosciel:
"What do you need to study for?" Rosc didn't want to keep her from that, she had so little time to do anything as it was. But if it was something they had together... Well, that wasn't really much, just Music and Human Studies, if she was even still in that class. But if it was, perhaps she wouldn't mind the company. She knew he actually did his work, kept to his studies as best he could. He just didn't look of act like he was paying attention in class because he didn't like to talk.

"It was. Away from everyone else, out here. I'm a little surprise someone hasn't stumbled their way through the middle of us yet," he replied, moving just a bit so that the arm he was propping himself up with touched her wings, her back, so that her arm could touch his side. Don't push too hard, don't chase her off, that little voice said, but it too ended up bound and gaged next to the censor.

Sin:
"I have issues with the whole plants study, herbs, it's not that I don't think it's important really it is, it's just...boring. I almost fell asleep in class and I never..." She smiled and glanced over at him.

"You gonna study? What classes have you managed to get into?" Sin knew she probably bit off a bit more then she ought to with classes. She was just so driven to prove she could do it all...even if she couldn't. She had to focus very hard not to smile like a fool when she felt Rosc brush her wings, she even moved in a bit leaning closer to him. "Yeah...well...most students probably prefer to swim in the pool..."

Rosciel:
"Just Human Studies and Music Class so far," Rosc replied, glad she didn't shy away when he'd moved closer. She even leaned in a bit!
He needed to look into more classes, there just didn't seem to be many that he was interested in, or were useful. He needed a gym class, but none were being offered at the moment that he could tell. Literature was best left off as long as possible. He considered taking the minipet training class, but had decided against it.

"I need to sign up a few more... Hmm, I'm not really good with plants, but if you'd like some company..." he trailed off with a shrug. He did know about a few, mostly ones that were poisonous to demons because he had wanted to know what to look out for, in case someone had it in for him.

Sin:
"Sure...I mean I wouldn't mind some company..." Then Sin thought of how she looked when she was studying. Hair tied back, pants and a casual tank top, hunched over a book and just...lost in the material. Ugh she was going to look like a bookworm and she didn't even have a pair of sexy reading glasses to soften the image. No way, she couldn't let Ros see her at her worst. "But...like I said it's boring, and I'm sure you have other stuff to do. You should try and get into Dr Alabasters Lit class, he's actually a pretty good Professor."

Rosciel:
Rosc visibly shuddered when she brought up Dr. Alabaster's Literature class.
"Literature class, me? I shudder to think," he replied with a bit of a nervous chuckle. He shook his head, giving her a small smile.
"I don't read very well, Sin. It's difficult," he explained, tapping his temple with one finger.

"Are you sure? Then again, I don't want to distract you."

Sin:
"I'm sure the professor could make an exception, provide an audio version for you? Really it could be fun, but you should take classes you enjoy too. I took Gym even though I didn't really want to.. Professor Red is harsh, I mean I thought I was in okay shape but geeze she runs you ragged." She thought again of Rosc seeing her with her nose in a book instead of held proudly in the air. "Uhh...yeah I better go it alone this time..."

Rosciel:
Rosc finally wrapped his arm around her, giving her a small hug.
"I suppose I could ask..." He didn't really see a point in a literature class without books, though. And he got the feeling a literature professor wouldn't, either. But then, he didn't think he needed to argue any more with her on the matter.

"Okay then, I'll leave you alone," he said, giving her cheek a quick kiss before he stood, scooping a now dozing Ripley up as he did so and slipping her back into his coat pocket. He then held a hand out to Sin, offering to help her stand.

Sin:
Sin smiled a bit more at the hug and then nodded as he stood, she took his hand and stood as well feeling a fleeting sense of sadness that their time was up. It was almost the same feeling she got when she sent off an eee!mail to him wondering when the next reply would come. Except now she could seek Rosc out whenever she needed...but she shouldn't. She shouldn't continue this way, her mother would be horrified. She had to slow down, get to know Rosc, the real Rosc not the idealized Raven she was so enamored with.
