He had been missing from his neck of the streets for nearing on a week now, and coming to calculate this, Arashi was starting to feel obligated to return home. He wasn't in the mood to wrangle with gang-style politics, but really, he didn't tend to want to do that; it was just a way of life. So he decided to suck it up and get back to where he needed to be before anyone attempted to overrun the street again. Besides, it wasn't all bad, and... it was a lot easier to get food, which he realized he kind of needed. Such unnecessary distractions.

And speaking of unnecessary distractions, the eevee-boy decided with a start to take a little 'detour' on the way back home. "As long as I'm back before it gets dark," he shrugged, as though to convince himself of the validity of taking the longer road home.

The weather had started to get rather chilly in the past couple of days. While it had made it easier to cross the swamp, taking attributes of a tundra and making the mud more solid, it also was beginning to get to him. It was perhaps the only time he would miss the overheating mass of fluff he used to have as a full-fledged pokémon. Ice started to sting after a while of being exposed to it, an aftereffect that didn't used to bother him quite as much before. Sure, he could wear more clothing, but the fabric tended to be pretty itchy and literally rubbed him the wrong way if he wasn't careful.

However, it wasn't often that he got to see the water when it got this cold. It had only been more recently that he conceded to his impulsiveness to travel so frequently, and most of the time he was in town when the frost started to hit the streets, making sure alliances had some cover. He could... always do that when he got back. Right now, he was interested on how much the water in these parts had frozen over in reaction to the cold. The temperature in the air seemed to suddenly drop the closer he got to finding out.
