Bio: Abandoned from birth, Monica spent 15 years bouncing between Orphanages and Foster Homes, never having a true 'family' or 'home'. This lifestyle made her very bitter and antisocial. When one day she ran into a boy on the subway, they had an instant connection. They spent all their time together, drifting all over France because what is a better place to be in love? When the boy's soul was infected by Madness, he was transformed into an Evil Human Soul. Monica was extremely mortified, but she couldn't bear to hurt him in any way. When he progressed into a Kishin Egg, she had a hard time resisting his madness but she could never leave him. One fateful day, he was killed by an agent of DWMA. Monica could only watch as her love was destroyed. She resented Shinigami for his way of dealing with Souls, and instead joined EWMA at 17 to make sure that Souls wouldn't be needlessly killed. She now teaches the next generation, hoping they can change the world for the better. Because of her "Super" Soul Perception, she has a major target placed on her by witches and other evil souls, so she rarely steps out of Death City.
Once the two Rivaling Schools combined, she reluctantly joined DWMA as a Staff member to aid in the life-long mission of cleaning up the World. Monica still doesn't agree with Lord Death, but they met a common ground. She still has a bitter taste for Kid however, though not for anyone else in the family. Even though the students are different, she still teaches and regards them fondly, not holding them to their methods.
Abilities:
+ "Super" Soul Perception: A heightened version of Soul Perception. Can even completely bypass Soul Protect. Such a power is seen as highly dangerous by Witches, and such individuals are targeted by all evil forces alike. Aside from allowing someone to see through a Witch's Soul Protect, advanced Soul Perception allows a human to sense souls accurately over long distances and notice even the slightest changes in one's Wavelength, being able to detect lies. This makes the user much more susceptible to Madness.
+ Highly Compatible Soul Resonance
+ Excellent at Kick Boxing
+ True Sight of the Soul: Since her Soul Perception is so strong, depending on how much one's soul is layered and protected, she can see things most people can't. She can analyze one's personality, their inner hurts and fears, and sometimes even their weak points. Must be initiated by touch, either her personally or through a Weapon. (( To gain such information, a 20 sided die will be rolled. Based on how close it is to 20 and the opposing roll of the person she's analyzing will be how much of them she sees. ))
+ Thread of Life, Source of the Soul: Much like how Maka was able to defeat Arachnae with her Soul Perception and Resonance, Monica can do this with ease through touch, allowing her Wavelength to be a powerful weapon in a fight strictly Soul to Soul. It is dangerous however, if she slips up or gets distracted, she will be open to the enemies own surge of Wavelength and Soul, and possibly hurt in the same way. If she does manage to make an attack, it will go straight to the target's Soul, not dealing so much of physical damage as much as mental or even spiritual damage. Meaning their Wavelength will either be unstable ( meaning no resonance or soul menace ) or unusable for a certain amount of time ( meaning their timing and compatibility with their weapon will be off for around 2 posts ).
Personality: Your classic rebel. She hates being told she can't do things, but she knows when to follow rules and orders. Monica doesn't take any s*** from anyone, and will let you know exactly what she thinks. She can be harsh, but she's also very gentle and kind to everyone, as long as you don't get on her nerves. Monica has an intimidating look and atmosphere at first, but it wears away almost instantly. She is rowdy and outgoing, picking fights when she can get away with it. She might act a bit spontaneous, but she always thinks things through. If you want to survive her class, "Sit down and Shut up", absolutely no gum, and God have mercy if you piss her off.
