Biography: Even as a little kid, he showed signs of falling to the negative sides of life. His father did nothing but drink and laze around all day and his mother did nothing but go clubbing every night. There were many a day he went hungry, and he eventually resorted to stealing. He was eventually caught and jailed for a short time, but he found out that jail was better than anything his home could offer. His parents never even cared if he was in jail or not. They hardly noticed him. As soon as he got out, he was jailed for several different crimes, such as drugs, extortion, shoplifting and even jaywalking. Jail was good, he got three meals a day, a bed and a roof over his head. However, it was terribly boring. He often went into rage fits when placed in solitary confinement. He'd often start fights in the cafeteria with other criminals, just for the heck of alleviating his boredom. He wasn't released until three years later, when he decided that he wasn't going to go back to jail. So he started up on gambling. He became an expert at gambling, learning how to cheat very effectively. When even gambling became boring, he joined the mafia and became a hitman. A few months later, his mafia received a challenge from a rival mafia to a game of Russian roulette in order to prove superiority. Of course, his mafia accepted and the game began. As the gun was passed around the circle, he received the gun and spun the cylinder and pulled the trigger. Click. Second round. Click. Third round. Click. Fourth round. Click. Fifth round. Click. Sixth round. Bang.
When he woke up, he was lying in a desert with the moon shining in his face. An Arrancar was sitting next to him, watching him wake up. Turns out that the Arrancar was the leader of his mafia. He had been watching him the day Touma had first started gambling. Further explanation revealed that he was the Cero Espada and he wanted Touma to become his Fraccion. Apparently, he showed potential, even when he was a human. Unfortunately for the Espada, Touma was a jack of trades and a master of poker faces. Years flew by with Touma learning everything from this Espada. Then, when the time was right, he put a bullet through the Espada's head. Laughing rather psychotically, he ripped a hole where the Espada's heart would have been, earning him the nickname the "King of Hearts". He went rogue for a while, then later came back to take the position of the Cero Espada.

- Card Manipulation - A passive ability. This allows the user to control and move cards with the user's mind. Though they seem ordinary, the cards have the properties of metal and cut like any blade, and different abilities can be drawn out from the cards.
Shuffle - The cards form a tornado of wind that head towards the opponent(s). They will entrap and lacerate anything that comes in contact with it. [3 post last, 5 post grace]
Checkmate - The user throws a card, or multiple cards, at the opponent(s). When the user snaps his fingers, three slashes will go through the card(s) and simultaneously cut anything within the vicinity [3 feet] of the card(s). [1 post last, 5 post grace]
Dealer's Luck - Throwing a card at an intended target, it creates a barrier around the card that absorbs damage from an launched attack. Only works for moderate attacks, and absorbs a bit of damage for stronger attacks before shattering. [3 post last, 5 post grace]
Roulette - The cards form a circle around the user as they start to rapidly revolve. As the roulette of cards slows down, the cards form a star with the selected card in the middle, which turns around, revealing the random card chosen (done with random number generator 1-33). - Dealer - Launches a massive amount of bullets at the rate of a semi-automatic weapon. The bullets are shaped like spears of light and have a moderate piercing capability.
Joker - The user launches two slashes, one with each gunblade. These two slashes will pass right through the target on contact and cause no damage. However, when both invisible slashes "hit" and the user hits both gunblades against each other, a third slash will automatically cut the user on a line that touches the two invisible slashes. Trump Suit - Considered a last resort gamble move. A barrier forms in between the user and the opponent with four cards as "doors" to the other side. When the back of the card is slashed, the card will turn around to face the opponent, revealing the face of the card picture. Depending on what card the opponent slashes (random number generator 1-4), a different effect will occur. [Can only be used once in battle]
1. Fortune Card - Spears shoot out in a 360 degree radius circle around the opponent, impaling them.
2. Misfortune Card - The user becomes poisoned for 3 posts.
3. Life Card - A large sword shoots from between the broken card pieces, impaling the opponent and sending the shattered card pieces at the opponent with an effect similar to broken glass.
4. Death Card - Chains stab through the user.
