Astra had flown from the school in a haze of tears and grief, feeling utterly lost and unsure what she was going to do next. She at least had a idea of where she was, which was on the outskirts of the weeping forest, but on the opposite side of the school.
But now, as she sat underneath a tree trunk, she had to wonder what her next move was. Maybe she could sneak into the booygeymen's headquarters, and steal the statue back? No, no, she couldn't do that. She had no idea were the booygeymens HQ was, and the statue was far to heavy for her to lift.
Another idea hit her; Maybe she could develop some sort of cure instead? Travel the lands of Halloween, searching for mystical ingredients with magical properties that could heal any sickness. But then, where would she start?
The fairy sat there as she tried to think up plots after plots after plots, all the while dabbing tears from her eyes and feeling utterly horrible for running away after talking to Lizzy like that, and yet not wanting to return. Not just yet, at any rate.

After his run in with Siobhan, Deryk continued to wander the campus, trying to find other students. He didn't want to run into too many at once, just in case he slipped up. He was also keeping an eye out for ones he had met before. There was a decent chance they'd pick up on something weird, he felt.
After some time of wandering, he found himself near the outskirts of the forest. For a moment, he thought he might have wandered away too far, so he was going to start heading back towards the school.
Unfortunately, he wasn't really watching the ground too much as he was looking around, trying to spy any signs of life around him. It didn't look like there was anyone around here. Hm.
Well. Because of this, he ended up stepping on a certain fairy.

Yup, she was sure of it. Who in their right mind would say goodbye to someone, and then run off to go sulk somewhere, let alone run away from school? She was sure Riley would be ashamed of her actions, not to mention the rest of the school. Feeling sorry for herself, Astra did not hear the approaching footsteps of another boil, untill she felt a shadow overhead. Looking up, she had approximately 0.3 seconds to utter a surprised squeak, before she was smushed, (Pic may or may not be to scale) Nevertheless, the antenna that poked out were now waving around wildly, and if you listened close enough you could hear the muffled sounds of a panicking fae ghou.

Deryk had stepped on something squishy. It felt weird. Furrowing his brow he lifted his foot up to see what was there. O-oh. It was... a fairy minipet? Wait no. That was kind of big for a minipet.
"AH! S-sorry. Didn't see you there," he said while jumping back.
"Are... are you alright?" he asked while staring down at the fairy. Oh boy. What if she got pissed? He can't fight like this!

Taking a much needed gasp of air, Astra sat herself up, looking back at her wrinkled, torn and muddy clothes with a teary eyed gaze. At least her wings weren't damaged (nor any bones broken), but now she had the worst back ache.
Her sad appearance quickly turned to that of anger, and she glared at the...holy jack, HOW TALL WAS THIS GUY?!?! She had to crane her neck to look up at him, and her pouting glare probably looked even worse from on the ground.
"What is the big idea?!?!"' She said angrily, kicking at his feet. "You should watch were you're going! I almost dissipated! And now look at my dress, it's all muddy..'sniff' my parents gave me this dress.. 'sniff sniff'." She then preceded to take out her anger on his feet, since that was the easiest target.

Deryk brought his hands up and took a step back and away from the little fairy, trying to think quick right now. He decided to drop the speech pattern he had used with Siobhan. That was almost painful to keep up and all.
"I said I'm sorry! I'm... not used to being around tiny things..." he said, hoping that she wouldn't try to do anything further than kicking his foot. She was small, but there was no telling what she could do, if anything.
"Aw come on. Don't cry..."
He was having a knack of making girls cry this time around.

....Tiny
..........Tiny things
He just called her tiny that song of a b***h
If one looked closely, they could almost see steam coming from Astra as glared at Deryk, her eyes lighting up with a eerie glow in her anger. This boil had managed to get right ontop of her hit list in a matter of moments.
"Don;t...call....me....TINY!" She shouted (in a tiny voice) and literally flew up to his face so she could sock him one. She wasn't one to get physical, but being in such a distraught state, she was liable to do about anything.
Like sit down again and burst into big sobbing tears, regardless of what Deryk said.

Woah! This fairy had a napoleon complex. That was what Deryk was getting right off the bat. He really didn't know what the hell she was about to do either, but he was getting ready to run. He did manage to duck to avoid getting the punch to the face.
And now she was crying even more.
The hunter was trying to think of what to do here, even trying to get Tooley's input but she wasn't helping at all. But this was kind of frustrating him actually.
"Stop crying! Seriously. I mean it. If you're going to just blow up and cry over a stupid word, no one is going to take you seriously. No matter how big or small you are," he said before turning around. Emotionally explosive. Check. Self esteem issues. Check.
But, he figured he should look somewhere else. These golems couldn't take much damage. He didn't want to be around someone that was going to keep smacking him.
Plus. He had apologized to her twice and she just blew up even more on him each time. That wasn't very nice.

For a few moments Astra seemed to ignore Deryks request, until she looked up, eyes puffy and water logged.
"'Sniff" I'm not blowing up over a stupid word!" She protested childishly while suppressing a sob. "I'm..b-blowing up cause you stepped on me! And....then you said I was tiny." She whipped her face with the sleeve of her dress, then glared at him again. "Thats like saying I'm weak. Cause I'm not! I'm a Hob, so that makes me much stronger then you!" She actually had no idea what year this boil was in, but she didn't care.
But now it looked like he was just going to walk away. Hmph! What a stupid jerk, he was walking away just like that? He wasn't been very nice, not at all. There was no point in hitting him anymore though, and she sat there on the ground, still sniffling here and there as she watched him walk off.

By god this girl.
"And I apologized. Twice. And I wasn't calling you weak! YOU were the one to tag that onto a word. You barely come up to my kneecaps right now. You are tiny to me. Lots of things are small to me. It has nothing to do with strength. Though with the way you're acting, I gotta wonder if you're really as strong as you say you are," Deryk frowned while turning around. The fairy was actually getting him riled up. Maybe it was because she was trying to push him around, which he really didn't appreciate.
"Said nothing about you being weak," he muttered, repeating it. He thought about it some more, then turned back around.
"Forget it. Need to find better people for this. People who want to get stronger and just don't blow up over a not-insult. Yes," he mumbled to himself. Like hell he was going to let some poor sap in the future deal with this in their minds.

Dammit, what was it with this boil and using such evil concepts as logic and common sense. Astra wanted to smack him back to moonday and throw bugs in his hair, because not only was he speaking sense, but he had just called her short about three different ways. It was infuriating. Screw logic she didn't care, he was being mean and insulting her by saying she was short.
But she paused in her evil plotting, the antenna on her head perched upwards as he mentioned something very interesting.
"What do you mean, 'need people who want to get stronger?" She asked, trying to appear like she hadn't been crying 5 seconds ago. She wanted to know more about this, and for the first time in a while, her curiosity had been peaked.
Because maybe, if she had been stronger...

Deryk paused for just a moment as he apparently caught the fairy's attention with that comment of his. Hm. Well she was quick to change tides now wasn't she?
"I mean what it sounds like. Improving. Wanting to become better," he said before eyeing her. He knew he had to be careful about how he worded things otherwise he was going to give himself away.
"Could say I'm recruiting for something. Special opportunity. Not good for everyone though," he explained.

"Recruiting?" Astra repeated. "What are you recruiting for?" Was this some sort of school program, or a class lesson perhaps? She had plenty of questions buzzing around in her head now, and so far he hadn't answered any of them.
"Who are you anyway?" She then asked, eyes narrowing. She wanted to see what this boil was on about, but she needed to know who he was first. "And how does this..'something', make you better?"
A soft humming filled the air as she flew into the air, hovering above the ground and high enough so she was eye level with Deryk. His appearance reminded her of Sura, although he was also a lot different compared to her.

Deryk crossed his arms as the fairy started to bombard with question after question.
"I'm Gaius. And well. Can't tell you too much. Lot of the info is for candidates only. Could say it's a job in a way. Training for the job works right with your FEAR to strengthen it. Hone it. Pretty intense stuff really. Gotta scout out people who would be up for that sort of thing. Then see if they got what it takes," he said before shrugging.

So it was a job he was recruiting for? It didn't look like she would get much else out of him, but the idea that she could become much stronger was very tempting. She did have her doubts of course; this boil was a complete stranger, so there was no real reason to trust him. However, did it really matter at this point?
"What do you gotta do to become a candidate?" She asked, throwing caution to the wind. She didn't want to stand there and do nothing as usual she wanted to do...something, anything!
