The MotherFather birthed all the peoples of the all the lands, and onto each she painted patterns fantastic. All the colors SheHe knew, SheHe gave them. And some of her children looked at each other, looked at the dull colors of the swamp around them, and wished to give back. Slowly they learned how to tease color from the drabbest sources. Stains, dyes, pastes, and paints. Horn, tail, reed, and sponge. They found an endless source of possibility, and told stories in colors spread across the trees of their home. Now the swamp blazed with color. The gift was repaid, and is repaid still.

Tribe Info

Positions within the Tribe

xxxMaster Artist – Any member that has distinguished themselves through their work, be it technical skill, popularity of their art, or having contributed xxxxxxa great accomplishment to the paintings are considered Master Artists, and are given a say on the Tribal council.

xxxArtist – Members of the tribe dedicated to improving their art, but are not considered Masters.

xxxPatron – Members of the tribe who are not artistically inclined, but work to support the efforts of the Artists. These can include hunters, nurses, xxxxxxgatherers, etc.

xxxStoryKeeper – The StoryKeeper devotes the stories behind every painting to memory. While they usually have an apprentice or a couple of xxxxxxassistants, this is the only singular rank within the tribe, and as such, this Kin is afforded a great deal of respect.
