Does anyone know of any live aquatic plants that would be great for beginners (I've never had live plants in any aquarium before) that red eared sliders could eat? I was thinking about possibly planting some in Wartortle's tank.

Thanks! I'll look into those! Is sand a good substrate for planing them in?
