If Amarus ever had to look at another of those medical training dummies she was fairly certain it would trigger some kind of advanced rage-mode and she would just ruin everything. In this fantasy, "everything" also included Nurse Cricket's face. Just because. She stretched and left the individual task having worked up both a desire to do anything but stare at one of those dummies any more as well as definitely grab something to eat. It could be worse. She could have gone through all of that without any hope of success at all...! In fact, after much strain and toil, she'd actually managed to gain at least one rank in her healing, before making it to her second year status. Maybe today she'd go for a run, or climb something. But what was there left to climb which she hadn't already climbed?

Thinking of what she could possibly get up to in order to stave off the immense, crushing boredom of being a Lotus Eater with no real hobbies, Amarus wandered out and onto the campus, just sort of zigzagging around idly, completely solid from her knees up while her calves and feet faded into partial transparency. Even though her ability to be transparent was enhanced, she still liked to maintain tangibility out of habit.

Which didn't really help as she was about to barrel straight into Kettil, because she was paying zero attention to where she was walking. It's not like her feet had to touch the ground or anything.

Hey look, a cloud that looked like a rabbit! Or was it an owl? Amarus squinted at it. "Man, I could really go for ... some kind of food, right now," she mumbled, before finally looking at where she was headed, and trying to make herself intangible in time to maybe avoid a collision. Or maybe Kettil would get out of the way fast enough? Or maybe she was just crazy and she wasn't about to hit him at all. It had been a long day, what could she say.

Opening her eyes tentatively, the first thing Amarus would have to say to Kettil was accompanied by pointing upwards: "Does that look like a mammal or a bird to you?" Following which she would smile, and really actually realize she was seeing Kettil again. And then automatically search for Endzela, because she adored Kettil's owl.

It seemed not paying attention was the 'hip thing' to do lately since Kettil was off daydreaming and shedding off the 'blues' that were had from during and after the trip to the isles. It was a mild way of putting it but still true as he just didn't seem to notice anyone up in his path of walking up until a firm bump and him stumbling back and this caused Endzela to startle awake and become unsettled with a soft sound as she took wing to circle about the pair for a moment waiting for them to gather their bearings once more before she resettled upon Kettil's shoulder once again.

Kettil didn't seem to hesitate looking up his eyes narrowing at the clouds, "...Bird. Definitely a bird," he announced as if this would end all disputes ever in the entire realm of Halloween.

"You alright? I didn't break nothin' did I?" Kettil laughed cheerfully at Amarus - she was a freshly made acquaintance and a welcome one.

"Lovely to see you again, M'Dear," Endzela put in as well.

Amarus could dig the notion of shedding off blues; she was nursing some serious separation anxiety over Conquest being gone forever, and she had only been there as a guest. She couldn't even begin to imagine what the denizens of that place felt. Literally could not imagine: emotions had never been her strong suit, and so suddenly even the ones she had were too intense to stomach. Still, at least her essence made it relatively easy to just ignore whatever was going on in her new emotional space.

Sort of. Whatever. She didn't mean to bump into Kettil, but at least it was Kettil; bumping into him was not so awful! Though it also seemed to disturb Endzela, whom Amarus saw circling above while they sorted themselves out. Amarus didn't take long to, she just went as intangible as possible while sorting herself out and then returned to her mostly-tangible state, feet fading off into transparency. "Hmm... I do like birds more," she replied, still slightly dazed.

But finally, she came to entirely once Kettil laughed, and her lotus essence flickered across her skin. "Nothing fatal, just my bones... I don't think I have any, anymore," she lamented, shaking one ghostly arm and grinning.

"Nice to see the both of you again, as well; it's cheering me up. Is that okay? Is that normal?"

For a while, she was going to be asking these questions. She legitimately did not know what was acceptable, or normal, or to be expected-- this whole area was new to her.
