From my experience I have learned a few things. One of them is that finding a parking spot in Philadelphia is terrible. Not only do we have the worst drivers, but the roads are so narrow. The little china town was neat, although very crowded, couldn't help but fear we were going to run over people who seemingly suicide out in front of cars. That sucked pretty bad.
The experience was amazing when we finally got there. Art everywhere, artists drawing legends of all kinds, and many different masterpieces were sprawled out on the tables, they were very expensive. People were drawing epicness right in front of my eyes, and I got to converse with them a little to see their methods.
I got to see Darken Rhal from Legend of the Seeker (Craig Parker), Shannon Elizabeth, Melissa joan hart, and Bruce Campbell, but unfortunately Stan Lee was in one of those covered areas you needed to pay to get into. All of them were awesome, though. Missed out on Shatner and Patrick Stewart who were both probably in covered areas as well. They are muy expensivo.
There was someone there who had a gigantic stack of notes she was mailing to get a third season of legend of the seeker at her own booth. I got a Kahlen Amnell bookmark cuz i'm manly, and signed for the third season as well, so I hope the vote matters >: o She also really turned me onto the books by Terry Goodkind the series is based off of. I wanted to read it before because it seemed as though the show had blown it our of proportion a little and that it was obvious they were trying the imagery from the book. I am gonna get some when I get more spending money together next week. Finally got something I can read.
All in all it was incredibly fun, but it was exhausting and draining. I was so overhwelmed by everything in the little time I had I didn't really get to meet as many people as I wanted to because I was rushing through the galleries, so it made me feel kind of guilty especially when I put myself in their position. I appreciated everything, and I didn't even get to let them know. The art was amazing, and if I could I would have donated to every one of them because seemingly so, they were all struggling. Hard to believe in such talented people.
If I ever go to something that big again, it has to be at least a weekend.
