Break any of these rules, and you'll find out what the spare tunnels are for.
Believe me, Yasha would love the exercise.

Healing items and techniques of any sort are prohibited.
Use of them will immediately end the Gym battle, and the user will not be permitted to challenge the Gym again for one month.

Hits and Dodges will be determined via random numbers.
The forumla is as follows;

Each Pokemon, no matter the size or level, will begin the battle with 5 health points.
When one Pokemon has no health points left the battle is over.

A missed hit will deduct 0 points from the HP.

A successful hit will deduct 1 point from the HP.
If the attacking Pokemon's technique has little effect ½ points will be taken from the HP.
If the attack is super effective 1½ points will be taken from the HP.

A critical hit will deduct 1½ points from the HP.
If the attacking Pokemon's technique has little effect 1 point will be taken from the HP.
If the attack is super effective 2 points will be taken from the HP.

If an attack holds a status effect that causes damage (Ex; Burn, Leech Seed, Poison, Etc.), it will deduct on the first attack, and ½ point additional to attacks for each turn until the status effect is gone.
Depending on the situation, some effects may stick around until the battle is over, and others will only last a few turns.

If you are confused by how this system works, check some of the previous posts to get an idea of what is expected.

More may be added here in the future, as this system may still have a few bugs in it.

Few have entered the dark forest miles to the west of Yamiyo, and even fewer have discovered the giant cave buried deep within the territory. Yet here you are, standing within the spacious area that had been so open and almost welcoming from the outside. One might figure that this would be where the battles would take place, being at least large enough for two trainers.

However, the area seems void of anything that would suggest that this was actually an arena. But, hadn't it been said that one of the Tentou Gyms was located in a cave? For a moment, one may wonder if there might not be another cave. Or, perhaps even a different forest.

Though, as if on cue, a feminine voice sounds from behind you. "You look lost!" Sure enough, there stood Hitsu, the Leader to the Gym that seemed more difficult to find than it was worth. "You're heading in the right direction, so far." She added, grinning as though amused. Gesturing toward the far wall of the cavern, a small orb of bright light materialized inches from her fingertips and floated toward the wall.

You'd looked over there, or so you had thought, and had seen nothing. Though now, the light reflected off of the far wall, which sparkled as though it were moist. At first, this might not have been a big deal, as you were in a cave. However, the orb finally drifted into an opening in the wall, a tunnel, and the shifting of the light revealed that the walls going deeper into the cave were coated with inches of solid ice.

With this, Hitsuzen is suddenly nowhere to be found. That, and the light that hinted to lead you into the tunnel is fading and flickering out. You'd better find your own source of light to find your way through, from the looks of it. A chilling breeze flows from the tunnel's opening, which has no end in sight, leaving one to wonder just how far underground this was going to be.

From the entrance, one would only notice the tunnel leaning down into darkness. As it suggested, the Gym was in fact much farther underground. A labyrinth of tunnels were in store for those wishing to challenge Hitsu, and they had to make their way through alone and without her aid before they would be permitted to battle.

One entire post must be dedicated to finding the arena, and please make your posts halfway decent in size. The tunnels are not made of solid ice, only encased in it. This means if you melt or shatter the ice, you will find the stone of the cave wall underneath, just so none of you get the bright idea of trying to dig or melt your way through.

Once you have reached the arena, which would be your second post, you may state your challenge and release your Pokemon. All battles will be one on one, and Hitsu will always have second choice on Pokemon. After all, with it being her Gym she is entitled to having the advantage.

Also, please do not post in the thread unless you mean to challenge Hitsu. I would prefer not to have stray posters for whatever reason, to just have challengers post would mean less confusion for me all around.

If you wish to challenge any of my Pokemon,
I only allow a five level difference, either higher or lower.
Keep in mind, however, that you choose only your own Pokemon.
I choose mine thereafter, and you don't have any say on whom.

Those who manage to win their battle with Hitsu will walk away with two prizes. One being the Gym's own badge, the other a TM that some will see more fitting for the Gym Leader's abilities rather than any of her Pokemon.

Upon the rounded tip of a short stalagmite, there sits a shining badge, shaped in a half sphere. It appears to be transparent, resembling ice, and settled in the center is a light blue snowflake. It even feels cold to the touch, but perhaps that is just a result of the cool temperature of the cavern. Of course, one can't be too sure.

This badge boosts the effects of ice-based attacks,
along with raising the special defense for any type of Pokemon.

TM13 (Ice Beam)

Blasts the opponent with an icy beam that may freeze it.

Upon a large stalagmite at the entry to the Gym, one can view the names of
trainers that have successfully won their battles with Hitsuzen.
