Sado wandered away from his clan for the day, hoping that there was another clan nearby. As much as he loved his children, it was sometimes hard to be around them. They reminded him of his mate, of the lioness that he had briefly loved. Still loved, in some ways. Madoa Waya just...wasn't all there in the head, and went days without talking to him or their children.

Today was one of those days, and Sado hoped to find someone away from the Wolf clan for some lighthearted conversation.

"What shall we do today? Go find water, prey? Try at another avian?" Tearh asked looking to Murasame who walked beside her. At her mentioning avian, his head shot up.

"No! No more avians! I can't take trying to befriend another avian, they never listen, they always leave, we'll never get a message home at this rate," he said sighing. He was frustrated, and Tearh knew it. He didn't mean to be this way around her.

Tearh flinched at his outburst, but did not slink away from his form, "I know it is frustrating, I want to send word to my parents too, but we cannot go so far away, do you truly think my father would let us return?"

Murasame shook his head, "No, probably not, and your mother might give me a good smack or two for bringing you this far away," he said remembering the strong lioness.

Tearh smacked him in the shoulder. "If anyone will smack you it will be me!" As they walked Tearh stopped, the wind carrying a distant, yet all familiar scent across her noise. He face contorted from a confused expression, to one of delight, and surprise, and she took off at a run.

"Tearh!?" Murasame called after her, but she already had some distance on him.

Tearh bounded forward, tracing the scent back, and sure enough, a large, familiar, brown form emerged from the surroundings, and she immediately jumped into the air, arms outstretched, face smiling, "SADO!"

Well, hearing his name called out loudly wasn't something he was expecting. His eyes widened as he looked around, and saw a silvery form running straight at him.

"Uh oh."

Thank goodness it wasn't black, or he'd have thought his mother found him and was ready to beat him senseless.

"Tearh!" Well, he wasn't expecting to see her. "Woah. Its been...forever! How're you? Doing ok?" He was happy to see someone so familiar to him in front of him, and it was very...reassuring.

As she had literally smacked into him and gave him an awkward hug of sorts, she snuggled her face against his big, fluffy mane. Look at how big he was! Was everyone else like that too? "I know Sado! Too long! I haven't seen you in..oh, too many moons I can't even count!" She was wearing a smile so big it held happiness and warmth.

"Woah, WOAH!" Mursame said as he skid to a halt. Being Tearh's mate, and not rememebing her siblings well enough as it had been so lnog ago, Murasame was not pleased at all that she was snuggling up to some other male! What was going on? "Who is this? Who are you? What're you doing? Tearh!?"

"Oh hush up! Murasame, this is Sado, my BROTHER," she said with a huff pulling away a bit from her brother. She felt as if she might be crowding him...just a bit.

Murasame's ears flickered a bit, "Oh," looking over Sado, he saw a resemblance, but more to her mother, but...in brown. "Sorry, I just..was confused."

Tearh smacked him again and Murasame made a face.

Sado was a little....flattered that Tearh was making such a big deal about their reunion. He would have to share this story with his kids later, about their overly excited aunt.

Then who he assumed was her mate seemed alarmed, and the brown lion couldn't decide if he would laugh or try to explain. Tearh took care of that quite quickly, actually. "Yeah, sorry. I always forget that she's so excitable."

Sado took a bit of a bow. "Nice to meet you. Tearh, how are you doing?? Is everything alright? I can't remember what clan you're in....I'm a horrible brother for forgetting."

"I'm not that excitable, pfft," Tearh said trying to wave her paw at such an accusation though in her heart she knew it was true. But how could she not be, her brother was here! She hadn't know, no one had said anything, and she hadn't seen anyone that looked like him around. She had so many questions. She flicked her tail, watching Murasame who seemed quite pleased by how happy she was, after he calmed down of course.

"Nice to meet you as well. We hadn't known that any of her family had traveled out this way, let alone become part of the pride, so you must understand her surprise there," Murasame said with a chuckle. Her brother, Sado, seemed to be doing well. He seemed strong, just as any pridelander would be, but he also appeared to have a calmness about him. Perhaps he had gathered that here. Murasame wished to gain that sense of self calm as well.

"We are within the Mantis clan, I've no idea what clan you are a part of either Sado. I've not seen you since...I can't remember last, since we were back way back home, within the green grasses. Unless we passed by one another here, in where I did not recognize you for the sheer fact that my mind did not register you so far away from the pridelands."

Her mouth was going a mile a minute, and Murasame shook his head, a smile on his maw. "You have a mate here, Sado? Family?" Anything could have happened since their last meeting, which as Tearh said, was very, very long ago.

The brown lion laughed slightly. He had always been a little more calm than his sister. Moving here had been exciting, than disappointing, and now he was just...neutral about it. He wished that there was a way he could get Maddie to be interesting in him again, but the spacey Ela'wadiyi lioness didn't have enough attention span for him. He didn't want to tell his sister all of that, though.

"Yes. I have a mate within the Wolf Clan. We're not too far from here today, so I decided to wander just a bit away from them to help clear my mind. Funny how constant walking becomes to meditative." He smiled.

"I have six adult kids wandering around, though all of them are still at home. One of my daughters just recently got married, so that is exciting." He smiled, figuring that sharing the best of the news with them was appropriate. Madoa Waya's antics weren't really known that much out of the family, and he didn't want to seem like it was horrible. It wasn't. He was thankful for having so many kids to help keep him happy.

"That's wonderful that you aren't too far from here, our den is a bit that way, but we walk often as well," she nodded. "It is nice to be able to converse with those of other clans, much more so when it is a brother you were not expecting to see," Tearh said looking him over. My, how he'd grown. He seemed older, wiser, but she would always remember him as the young, small cub that was within the grasses while she had her excited moments and playing antics.

"Six? My, quite a large fairly there, just like yours back home, right Tearh?" Murasame asked looking to his mate. Murasame remembered that both the litter he was a part of as well as Tearh's had been fairly large. He considered it a blessing their first litter born only had two cubs, Murasame remembered wondering if it'd be one, two, or six. It was nerve-wracking.

"I must meet them sometime, give them my best wishes, to your daughter whom is now married, and meet the others. This is so wonderful, out on a walk, just thinking of what the day will bring, not only my brother, but news that an even larger family with relations to us resides here as well." It was a truly great day indeed.

"She'll sleep long and hard tonight, that is for sure, with all the excitement and things no doubt buzzing around her head right now," Murasame said motioning to Tearh who had now gotten quiet, looking as if she was thinking of something really intensely.

Sado nodded. "Yeah. Its not bad. The Wolf clan is so large, its easy to find someone to talk to. At times its nice to change the faces around you. Imagine that it would be my own sister!" He laughed again.

"Six is...a lot. I don't know how Mother dealt with all of us." He shook his head, wondering how she and Dad were doing. Maybe he could find someone with a bird to send a message to them.

"I'll try to drag a couple of them along with me sometime," Sado nodded. "They're not all that interested in wandering far from the clan, but it couldn't her to bribe them," he winked.

"Its nice to meet you too, Murasame."

"Our clan is fairly large, but we feel like there is often a distance between us and other members. Hard to get some of them together to just sit and chat. You learn all of your mate's stories when you are together for so long, all day everyday," she said looking to Murasame, "kind of repeat things sometimes," she said sticking her tongue out.

"Hey, you do that too!" he said defensively. "Your mother was a strong lioness, I remember when I went to go meet her, to be honest, I was a little intimidated, but she is a fine lioness, strong, and I'm sure she has kept your father in line," he knew if Tearh was more like her mother, he would have to be very, very careful.

"It would be lovely to meet them, we'd look forward to it." Her blue eyes were focused on Sado, but her memories kept making her think that he was still so small, that they were home. But so much had happened since then.

"Do you think we'll be able to come back, visit with you, perhaps some of your children, in the future? We know to keep in mind clan boundaries, Tearh just seems to happy," and Murasame liked seeing his mate happy.

Sado laughed. "If Dad is still alive, yeah!" His mother was...something else. Strong was an understatement.

"I'm certain that you two coming to visit for the day wouldn't bother anyone. It'd be nice for them to meet their aunt and uncle, give them another taste of where their dad came from." He was, for the most part, happy here. He missed home, but it would be too hard to cut all the ties he made here to return. Plus his mother might give him an earful for leaving her, and then leaving his kids to return to her. Yeesh, he'd rather just stay here than deal with that!

"We're not up to much, so you can come over whenever!"
PostPosted: Fri Jun 08, 2012 8:42 pm

"One can only hope, mother did have her paw wrapped tightly round him, I wouldn't doubt that she'd still give him a good hit or two if he had done something stupid," oh her father. She had loved him, still loved him, dearly. But he had been very very protective. Sometimes he seemed lost, but she assured herself that was just how he was. Gruff most days, thinking hard to himself other days. He was an interesting one, to say the least. "We will look forward to it then! But Murasame, I think it's time you tried your paws at catching another avian, they'll be going back to that tree soon, the one we passed on teh way here."

Murasame's ears flattened a bit, thinking of this endeavor. "We're trying to catch one to be our message bringer to back home, back and forth, since we can't truly make the journey ourselves." He hated them though, pointy talons, pulling out fur. He had a bare spot near his rump a few moons ago where one had gotten him sharply!

Why did he have to do the grunt work? "It has been a pleasure seeing you again, meeting you again," he laughed, "and we will surely be back soon to visit."

"Yes, very soon," Tearh said with a smile, then nudged Murasame, "Come now, let's leave Sado to go to his family so that you can expand our own with an avian helper!" she said with glee. Murasame seemed to lower his head upon his shoulders at that as they departed. Though Tearh's heart was full of joy from seeing Sado.

"Farewell," he said with a laugh, trying to envision his sister's mate catching a bird. It seemed.....pretty impossible, but it proved that there was a streak of his mother in Tearh. Poor Murasame.

He paused for a moment, watching them leave. He was a little jealous, but...he'd deal. Perhaps he would return home now, and check in on his kids. Kawani was probably ready to try some other tactic to make him happy. Sometimes he wished she would focus on her own happiness instead of his. One day....

And with that though, he turned around to return home.
