It made sense when it was the ever active and not-sleeping Shehk that seemed to be manning it and was likely behind at least 80% of the set up. At least, it had appeared to be Shehk based on the ears and tail alone, as she had made a point of dressing up in quite the peculiar manner - having donned a longer skirt than she normally wore, her hair was curled and pulled up, and she was wearing, of all strange things, a mask. She couldn't have been considered 'dressed up', but she was looking a touch fancier than she normally did - a bit of a task, given how clean cut she presented herself.
Those who approached the booth, they would find Shehk talking to a rather familiar quintet of gnomes, fortunately more dressed than they were at Scarentines, handing each of them all something and saying something in a rather hushed voice about 'getting them on film'. Getting what on film, exactly? Well, it was Shehk, it wouldn't be anything too suspicious, right? No espionage from the Student Council rep - well, unless you were a particular conspiracy theorist.
When she was done, she finally turned to those who had approached the booth, a grin on her face underneath that mask of hers. "Hello!" she greeted in a cheerful manner, "As you can see, Student Council is proud to announce that Prom will be returning again this year and that, to some high demand, we will be hosting it in the form of a Masquerade!" Shehk adjusted the mask on her face, flashing another grin. "We'll be hosting it on the 20th of Bright October((June))."

A brief glance at the masks, and Shehk nudges them forward. "Feel free to take one to decorate! You're not limited to these by any means, but it's nice to at least get everybody started, right?" she urged, "Take one for you and take one for your date if you already know who you'll be going with!" she suggested. What the Gnomes are Up To! This is not happening at the booth, nobody should overhear this.
"So she wants us to what again?"
"She wants us to record the 'cute', 'daring', and 'unique' ways people are going to ask each other to prom. Apparently there are students who will go way above and beyond for their dates and she wants to reward 'em for it or something?"
"That...is the dumbest idea I've ever heard. But maybe we'll get some really dumb flub-ups on tape we can send to Amityville's Funniest Groan Videos and maybe make a few bucks."
"Might as well or she might sick her dragon boilfriend on us."

Roch was drawn to booths. Even if he wound up getting roped into things by going to booths, he still went to them. So when he saw Shehk at the booth he headed over, looking at the dateless sign for a long moment. "Why does it matter if I don't got a date?" he finally asked. "I mean, are you tryin' to keep an eye on the guys goin' stag to make sure they don't start food fights?"
Which he totally had--even WITH a date at last prom. So he figured they should keep an eye on certain guys whether they had dates or not--

Willow had been walking by. There was a prom booth set up in the hallway, pausing to look at it Willow had taken a form and read it for a moment. She was looking at the Masquerade and the mask so it was a ball of sorts?
Willow frowned slightly, "The Mask.... will there be a uh...... class on how to uh.... decorate them?" She asked looking at Shehk, her ears twitched slightly as she pondered over this.
It also wouldn't be that bad to just sorta... sign up maybe? Though she wasn't sure about this... date thing. Maybe she had lived in her little family too long and was too sheltered to know anything about this. She was standing there with the card in her hand looking a bit unsure if she really wanted to commit to this or not. She was looking from Shehk to Roch. They'd know what this stuff entailed right?

"Not everybody wants to go stag. A lot of people wouldn't want to go to an event like this alone, so I'm giving them the opportunity to find someone to go with and maybe make a new friend." Shehk answered to Roch unjudgingly.
"I..I don't think so? If you want someone to help you with that I'm sure there are sites up on the interwebs to give you inspiration and maybe a step by step on achieving certain effects you like." she answered to Willow with a small frown. That was a bit of a problem for those less savvy on designing things, now wasn't it?
Then again, she'd just kind of stolen the design of her own from someone else, so it wasn't that big of a deal, fortunately.
"It shouldn't be crowded. This year we've reserved a couple of rooms to dedicate to it to spread things out a bit more." she added with a smile, a very mysterious smile.

He blinked. Then he grinned, finally realizing what was going on. "Ohhh, y'mean this is that matchmaking thing from last time. Alright," he said. For a long moment he thought about it. Then he thought about the strange, and quite fun date he'd had with Needle. "Hell, why not?" he asked abruptly, grabbing a form. Willow watched Roch as he signed up and lofted a brow before finally slipping her form into the box when Shehk said it shouldn't be crowded. "As long as it's not like... packed..."
Her cheeks were tinged a bit red, "Too many people still make me a bit... nervous?" She scratched the back of her head.
Pausing to pick up a mask, "Oh, I'll have to try to see if I can find someone to borrow a computer from...." She nodded. Problem number two about decorating, she didn't have a computer. Willow was looking over the information, "I can't wait to see what you guys have planned. The scarentines event was interesting, if not a bit crowded." The few meet and greets she managed wasn't that bad though, it kept her away from the majority of the crowd.

"Yeah~ That's exactly what we're doing." Shehk replied with a grin. "Just a good opportunity for meet and greet and some good times for someone who might make themselves miss out, otherwise." Which would be sad. They had some awesome things planned.
"There should be a few computers in the library you can use for some quick web surfing if you need it, Willow." She added to the Byakko.

Willow nodded, "It's a good idea," She agreed.
She nodded again, "Right! Hahaha, I forgot about that; thank you shehk." She said with a smile. She felt a little silly forgetting that the library had computers. "I'll go see what I can find on the interwebs."
"Hopefully I'll find something neat. I'll need to see what I have to wear too or go out and buy a nice new outfit." She seemed thoughtful.

Roch looked more closely at the information. "Jack... y'mean I gotta wear sleeves?" he asked, sounding downright depressed by the idea. "Hey, if you come from the streets can you call jeans the formal wear of 'your people'?" he added, hopefully.

Shehk's lips pulled to one side as she thought. "Wellllllll, I'm going to say that given the nature of the event, we would strongly encourage you to dress at least a bit nicer than you do on a normal basis. It doesn't have to be over the top, just in the spirit of things." she answered to Roch, "and it is no problem, Willow. Good luck making something you'll like!"

Taryn eyed the booth with some trepidation. Prom... right. She'd had fair fun at the last prom so why not go? She approached the table and gave Roch a warm smile, and a soft wave to the tiger who she had finally met but completely forgotten the name of.
