AMITYVILLE

Amityville:

The sheer volume of students makes it hard to navigate around the established school facility. The outskirts of Amityville are mostly abandoned, though everyone knows the goods lie around the foundations of the school, mostly next to the spacious outdoor gym, the front gates, and the auditorium area. Students occasionally linger around, some wary of your presence, others more than willing to help.

Rules:

- This RP is possible with students!
- Roll a 100-sided dice each time you post. Match your dice roll to the results below as to what you find. Make sure to RP out the post. You can work with someone else as well, so each of you can obtain max 10/15 items (depending on your job class)
- You can also invite students to your RP. Students can come into your scavenging RP to help/ ask questions/ etc etc as long as they are invited the conventional means (ie: through a PRP etc etc). IF you make your thread an ORP that means you're in theory allowing any students to snoop at what you are doing! If you are making it a solo, that means Amityville students are not allowed/ do not see your thread. Students cannot collect supplies, but they can try to provide helpful hints about the school/ make conversation/ try to assist carrying supplies/ etc etc. Students are still not allowed on the Lost Clan reservation though, so after they get to the Amityville gates students will have to stay at the school.
- Once you are done collecting supplies, you can point claim here

- 1- 10 Solid bricks
- 11 - 20: Gnome Cement
- 21-30: Large wooden door
- 31- 40:Reinforced Metal desks
- 41- 50:Shatter-proof glass
- 51 - 60: Ripped curtains
- 61- 70: Thick cable wire
- 71- 80: Large round pebble
- 81 - 90: Pliable adhesive
- 91 - 100: Slightly used garbage bin.

Eisheth wasn't really satisfied by their chaotic rush through the Weeping forest. What supposed to be an introduction to a new world, a new realm, turned to be a silly wandering in an unknown location with no hints and no idea what they were even looking for. Not to mention, the horsemen had actually no idea of even what to expect. Her reasonable and practical mind was revolting against that idea: "Idiots! Anyway, let them hunt through the forest, or whatever it is called. I guess I will get better results just gathering some supplies on my own. And Faiyum! That jerk with his plants!". Or perhaps, the alchemist was just pissed off by Faiyum, and the fact their rivalry was still going on. Unfortunately, she didn't bother to think his carelessness might be just a facade to hide his own trauma...

Anyway, Weeping forest left her terrified. To tell the truth, plants were never her specialization: she always preferred poisons, it was Faiyum who was obsessed with the plants. But the trees! She never could even imagine plants being so tall and so huge! Perhaps, Faiyum was correct, no matter how hard it was for her to admit it: his perfect knowledge of plants made absolutely no sense in the new environment they've been thrown into...

Anyway, the alchemist decided to go in the opposite direction from their reservation, the direction which lead her directly to the outskirts of Amityville. Eisheth had no idea of what that massive complex of building was supposed to be, but due to the amount of students talking, slackening, or simply passing by she quickly realized it's a place for gathering. Though she was absolutely not in the mood for encounters. Eisheth waited for a moment, when most of the students disappeared and started her investigation: a few Halloweeners left were busy with their own business, or simply not so curious.

She was somewhere near the outdoor gym (though, of course, the horseman had no idea about that) when she stumbled across the first unusual item that could be... well, that might be described as the supply. A piece of shatter-proof glass, probably a piece of the window, was lying on the ground collecting dust. "Splendid", thought Eisheth. "It might a pure junk, but I need to start somewhere".

To tell the truth, Eisheth had a very little to no idea of what exactly they were supposed to bring as the "supplies". To think about it, she wasn't a Scavenger, she was an Alchemist, and thus her job would be dealing with the poisons and crops, and plagues. She was the scientist, after all, not the mere worker! Though, she understood in the situation they were Horsemen simply hadn't enough surviving members to organize it properly, so Medea was doing all she can to assign everyone.

But there was another problem. Eisheth has nothing against gathering supplies, even lacking the required skills. On Famine, they were using some common materials, and they knew exactly how to use them, especially since there were not so many types of material around. But here... there just so many many things, most of them completely unknown, the alchemist was a bit puzzled which of them could be used in the construction, and which would be useless. This thick cable wire, for example. Is it of any use? It's neither a crop, nor a stone, and surely, it's not the sand, or shell. What could it be used for? And how do Halloweeners use it, in the first place?

Eisheth shook her head hesitating, and put the cable wire in her bag.

The alchemist was slowly making her way around the Amityville carefully investigating the surroundings. There were a lot of items lying around, though most of them looked like trash even for her inexperienced eye. Eisheth decided it would be stupid to try and guess the meaning of the items; on the other hand, she was Famine, after all, and thus she should have enough skills to determine whether the item can or can not be used in their own, traditional way.

Thinking like this, she reached the Auditorium area (but then again, she had no idea that IS the Auditorium area), when she noticed something bright and vivid pretty much resembling the Famine clothes. It was a piece or fabric, probably ripped, but surprisingly clean despite lying here for a while. Clothes?.. Curtain?... Hm... according to the shape and material, it's more likely to be curtains. Well, at least this looks much more useful than anything she picked up before.

So it is possible! After all, there are some pieces that just look like building materials, no matter where you are and how do you build your houses.

Eisheth closed her eyes for a moment diving into the memory.

Agrah... Agrah was a Sage, and he was the MAN, one of not-so-many she had ever been really interested in, despite the fact they were actually distant relatives. Queen, all of them were distant relatives at some point, and nobody gave a s**t about it. Agrah was a synonym to loyalty and usefulness: he had all the traits of a perfect Famine'r, strong, masculine, logical, clever, devoted, there was no matter he couldn't solve easily for everyone's benefits.Harvesting fear? He was perfect. Training scarelings? Nobody else could be so patient and easy to understand. Scavenging? He would find perfect supplies and use them all in the best possible way. Agrah would be so helpful here! Eisheth remembered one of their discussions, when he taught her something of a great importantance, something she nearly forgot:

"...you know what is the difference between, say, Alchemist or Scavenger, and a Sage? You're a part of the society, and a very certain part which performs its certain duty, best as you can. Look at the insects: each of them has its own class, specialization: queen gives birth to larvas, workers build the hive, soldiers defend the hive, same as you do. While Sage has a different perspective: for us, everything is variable, every thing or every being has different ways to be used. Sage is trained to be either Warrior, or Scavenger, or even Alchemist according to the situation, and what sort of skills it requires at the moment. Same goes with the items: a stone can be used to build a nest, to engrave the wall, to be a material for alchemy, or even to be thrown at your enemy as a weapon".

That was the exact knowledge she needed to accept now. If they were stuck in their old roles they got used to, there would be no future and no revenge, because the situation is different. They need to find a variety in themselves in order to survive.

Eisheth noticed some solid bricks lying on the road. What have you said about the stone? There are plenty ways of using it, right?.. The alchemist picked the bricks thinking whether she would have a chance to save one of them for alchemic experiments.

Oh my. Eisheth realized that recollecting the past was a bit painful. She had her own reasons, quite logical, but not really appropriate at the moments: like, she couldn't help wondering how could it be fair that she survived, and Agrah, who was much more skilled, and what's more important, who would have been much more helpful to others now, did not. From all she has ever known, he would undoubtedly deserve it, and she herself would choose him, not herself, and that wasn't a matter of romantic interest: just a practical logic and common sense.

But.. it couldn't be helped. She was here. And he wasn't. They had enough time to mourn their deads, and would be just a waste of time to get stuck with this.

Meanwhile, Eisheth stumbled across a huge pile of.. ehm, trash. It was large and old: ripped socks, boots, pieces of paper, some rotten food, bags, even a wheel, probably from a bicycle, and a broken eyephone. Of course, Eisheth didn't know all those things, but the specific and familiar scent would leave no doubts on the nature of the items. One of benefits being a Famine was the lack of squeamishness: the alchemist felt no disgust digging into the pile. Hm.. a cable wire, almost the same as she did find before. If she manages to connect them together, it might be a handy rope, she realized. If only could she find a bit more...

And she made it! Digging to the very foundation of the pile (inside it looked like a traditional trash dump that was lying here for centuries), Eisheth noticed a familiar shape of a chord: it was indeed a long cable wire of the same nature as previous ones. And that means... that means she will be able to make pretty long rope, perhaps long enough to hold a tent or a marquee!

Eisheth was delighted: if nothing else, the rope, long and firm would be really useful! The alchemist decided to head up towards the reservation: some student groups started to appear in a distance, and she had picked quite enough items already; she shouldn't overdo it. And also... it might be nice to take a shower after exploring the trash damp!

Don't get it wrong: water was one of the biggest treasures back on Famine, and Eisheth grew up valuing each drop very high. And of course, nobody on famine would be dumb enough to use precious liquid for taking a shower just because you've been dealing with some shitty trash. Though here, in Halloween, water was pretty common; in fact, there was A LOT of water, and everyone was using it freely. So... it was probably the only benefit of Halloween civilization Eisheth really enjoyed and got used to surprisingly fast.

The alchemist was on her way back almost leaving the Amityville area when she stumbled upon a large round pebble. Eisheth rolled her eyes: it was a perfect slab, on Famine they often used such stones for alchemical purposes creating Ward Stones, and this one would be quite valuable.

But...

But it would probably serve better as a building material. How was it?.. The things can be used in different ways.
