Badly.

Mot never should have doubted her. It was more that he doubted himself and his ability to love her enough, but they way he'd reacted.. He never should have taken Titus's bait.

He followed Hel until they were outside, away from prying eyes.

"Hel.." Mot called to her, fidgeting with his clothes and eyes cast down. "I'm so sorry I hurt you. That was wrong of me. I messed up. Is there.. any way I can make this up to you?"

Hell hath no fury like a…Hel…scorned?

She was pretty upset.

Had she given him a reason to doubt her? Had she? But…but to believe Titus of all beings…

That just renewed how upset she was. She didn’t like being looked at like she had done something wrong. She hadn’t…she hadn’t done anything to mess it up this time yet…had she? Maybe she just….couldn’t do anything right…

The ghoul kept her head ducked down as she stormed across campus, making a beeline back for the reaper dorms. She scowled as she listened to Mot’s words…and while she probably would have melted at hearing them….she didn’t feel in a very forgiving mood at the moment. “Yes. It was wrong! You were wrong!” Hel snapped, scowling again as she stared straight ahead, her fists clenched.

That whole swapping spit s**t…the b*****d spat at my face…right after I bashed his head in with mine! How could you even believe…ugh!” Hel’s pace picked up, rapidly eating the ground.

Ouch. Ouch ouch ouch. Mot knew he was in the wrong, and it stung. Maybe he just was no good for Hel. He was so horrible. The worst.

While he had the truth now, he should not have needed it. He should have just trusted her. He'd let his insecurities get taken advantage of again. Mot whined to himself as she stormed off, trying to keep up with the angry Valkyrie. He tried to speak, but he scrutinized any excuse he could think of before it became words.

His eyes felt hot, his throat hurt. Guilt fell heavy on his shoulders.

He continued to follow her.

She’d probably lose the edge if she even looked at Mot…so she didn’t.

Hel continued storming her way across the grounds, and upon arriving at the reaper dorms she swung the door open and stormed in. Once inside, she tore her way through the common room and to the staircase, taking two stairs at a time. She briefly glanced back at Mot…and her lips pulled into a frown, and on her climb up…it was losing steam.

Jack damn it.

One simple glance at his pathetic expression…

Hel was still mad…but not as venomous. The ghoul stopped on the second floor level, glaring at the wall as she pressed her lips together. “…Just…forget about it.” She muttered. “There is nothing you can do to make up for it…just….forget about it.” She picked her pace back up the staircase.

Mot followed, struggling to keep up and fighting every bone in his body that wanted to run away. He loved Hel, and he had to fight everything in his path to make things right. Even as her lackluster words tore into him, he had to press forward.

"I will never forget it. I wronged you, and I can not let it slide." Mot insisted, following her step by step. "I may not be able to right this wrong, but I certainly won't repeat my mistake."

The reaper's heart hurt. He feared losing her love. Losing her trust.

"Be mad at me. I deserve it. It's okay."

Hel’s lips twisted at Mot’s words as she climbed the stairs, and upon reaching the landing to the third floor, she stopped and spun on her heel, facing him now.

Her cheeks were red as she clenched her fists, spreading her feet out a bit as she huffed. “I DO NOT WANT TO BE MAD AT YOU, ALRIGHT!?” Her voice boomed and echoed throughout the stone staircase. “It is not okay! It does not make me happy!” She stomped her foot again.

Mot halted. Stopped completely. Silent as the darkest, loneliest place in the universe for a long moment.

He nodded stiffly.

So…just…forget about it! I get it….you are sorry…” Hel huffed, her cheeks puffing out as she spun on her feel and started to make her way down the hall. She was conflicted. She just wanted to go and…hug him…but at the same time she just wanted to hole up in her room too.

Such a conflicting feeling it was.

Mot still remained silent. He didn't want to make her unhappy. But that's all he seemed to do. He followed her again up to their floor. He wouldn't follow if she went into her room, but he also would not retreat to his own. He felt lost, guilty. He wanted to hold her close, but felt he did not deserve such an honour. Such a privilege.

Hel stormed her way down the hall, and was about to go into her room when she paused. She could slam the door in his face. Just like he had done to her after their first and only flight. It might be satisfying. Might be. No…it probably wouldn’t make her feel any better.

It was sudden as the ghoul spun on her heel again, and since Mot was on her heels, all she had to do was reach up to cup his face. Then she pulled him down to her level, and pressed her lips against his.

It was within her rights to slam a door in his face. So imagine his surprise when she turned on her heel, almost causing him to trip over her. His face was pulled down, grasped with her small two toned hands. His mind went fuzzy as a pair of soft, lovely lips locked with his. His eyes fluttered close on instinct, his tension slowly melting. Not all of it, but a good portion. At the least, she could kiss him. She wasn't so mad that she'd leave.

He didn't have the heart to try and break the kiss. He was afraid to. Especially since his hands moved to rest on her shoulders.

Hel seemed to be looking for something as she pressed her lips against his…and she wasn’t finding it.

After a moment, the ghoul broke the contact, but still kept her hands on his face. She searched his eyes with a troubled expression, her lips pulling down into a frown. Thoughts of what Mac had said echoed and troubled her further. Hel leaned in closer again, her voice soft but on an edge. “I am not telling you to go all the way…but show me that you want me, Mot.”

Mot stared back worriedly as Hel broke the kiss, searching her eyes as she searched his. What answers was she looking for? What had she found that made her frown?

As he she looked from a red to a blue eye, pondering what secrets lay within, Hel began to speak, and his gaze soon fell to the lips that spoke to him. It took a moment for her words to make sense, his face beginning to burn under her touch. His lips parted, dumb struck at how to reply. While she was not asking for everything, the request seemed hefty. He'd been doing his best to push past his comfort zone, and this was the pop quiz that felt more like a sudden exam worth 90% of his mark.

Their altercation was forgotten in lieu of this rather steamy request.

There was a lot of pressure, a lot of nerves and anxiety. Things that always held him back. How was it Hel could always be so true to her desires? It was a lesson Mot could take once in a while.
So he let his wall drop.
The grim reaper pressed forward, hands wrapping behind the small neck of the Valkyrie. He pressed a deep kiss to Hel's lips, eyes closing on instinct. He'd completely neglected to remember he was standing in the third floor hallway of the Reaper Dorm.

Hel honestly did not have high hopes at the moment. If anything, as she watched Mot’s face burn red, she was expecting him to cave under the pressure she had just put on him, for him to grow immediately shy and fearful and pull away from her. That’s how it usually was. She was trying to be patient for little steps…she really was, but she couldn’t only hang in there for so long. It was also worth noting, that she had no interest in going all the way, or even going far…all she wanted was a really good kiss. People could express a lot with their lips. She believed that.

Now? She was surprised.

Her face felt warm in a good way as his hands slid behind her neck, and as his lips met hers deeply, her eyes fluttered shut as well as she let out a soft, pleased sigh into the contact. Her thumbs brushed over his cheeks and she leaned into the kiss.

Mot tried not to let himself worry about details. Details concerning if he was doing this right, if he was showing her what she wanted. He always worried what his actions meant for others. But as the kiss progressed, he simply did it for himself. Because it felt good to kiss his ghoulfriend. It felt good, it felt really good. So he kept it up, pouring his love into each second that ticked by.

When he did break the kiss, which felt like it had lasted quite a while, it was slow. Slowly he left her lips bare of his own. Slowly he opened his eyes. "I always want you Hel." He murmured honestly, half lidded gaze staring deeply into Hel's dual coloured eyes.
