His world had been turned upside-down, where was he? Last thing he remembered was running from his mother's rage. Father tried to protect him, but mother was out of control. He did not even know what he had done this time. The smallest thing would set her off and she well knew that father was only staying around to step in between her and Kegan.
Looking around, Kegan did not recognize anything. There were hills that were covered in beautiful plants and flowers. A gentle stream was winding its way down through the hills. The scene was breathtaking. Fear still sat in his stomach, but it quickly drained from the rest of his body. It would never completely fall away from him, it was a way of life for him.
After the hard run, Kegan made his to the stream. His throat was the driest he had ever know. "Why would a mother hate her own son as much as mother does?" Shaking his head to try and shake out the thoughts. Her face was so contorted with rage, it was not a visual he wished to remember. He always knew he was unwanted, but he never knew why. Father tried to say that's not how it really was, it was just mother. But the hate was so strong in her, he must have done something.
Kegan lowered his head to the cool water, he truly needed this.

Suli had wondered away from the herd that she had been born and raised into. She had fully taken her place as a member of the herd. She enjoyed dancing and singing for the herd and showing off her skills but she was still a mare and alone. She loved the stallions but she wanted to get out and explore and meet more.
Suli Lhach was a sultry creature. She knew this and felt that she deserved the best. In that sense one could say she was vain and snooty, but she gave anyone a chance to inspire her and fan her flames.
Today was certainly starting out like any normal day. But that was until she caught sight of something moving quickly. Curiosity pique her interested and she took off into the air and followed from above. From what she could see it was another star and it appeared male. She landed silently not far away when the star stopped to drink. Suli crept closer and spied on him. It was indeed a him and he looked...distressed. Concern flitted through her body and she stepped closer to him.
"I've never seen a more beautiful creature other than myself," she called in her melodious voice.

Startled, Kegan whirled around towards the voice that broke through the calm. Which happened to have him landing directly in the stream he had just been savoring. Keeping his head down trying not to appear confrontational and not registering what was said or who had said it, "What the? Pardon me, am I somewhere I shouldn't be? I hope I am not intruding on your land? I was running and have no idea where I am."
Looking down at himself, he realized he was a bit mussed up. "Oh my, what a mess I am. Please forgive me for jumping around like a crazy stallion, I wasn't expecting anyone to come along." Trying to straighten himself without bringing to much attention to himself.

Suli merely raised her eyebrows at him. Her green eyes stood out in her black face which was framed by a bright mane with sooty ends. She walked around the bush she had been partially hidden by, revealing that see too had feathers and not just on her wings. But her pelt appeared as if it was on fire.
"Do not mind me, I am just out to stretch my legs and explore. My herd has become a bit stuffy to me." She walked closer and looked him over before leaning her head down to take a quick drink. "Your on no ones land. But there is a heard nearby, hidden. They are friendly. I'm just in need of someone new to meet." Suli gave him a sultry look and smiled. "The names Suli Lhach. But you can call me Suli."

Looking up from himself a bit cautiously, "Madame Suli Lhach, my name is Kegan." Tipping his head slightly, but where he could still keep a watchful eye about. Her smile didn't exactly frighten him, but so few smiles he had ever seen had been genuine. "It's a pleasure to meet you."
"Forgive my ignorance of this land, I have come a long ways from my own herd." The word herd sounded to congenial for what he had before, controlled madness was a better fit. The madness of his mother was not the only one he feared, but he had freed himself. Well his legs and his father...he didn't want to know his father's fate. A slight grimace came across his face, but he quickly suppressed it.
