There was something sort of refreshing about the idea of getting away from the hotel and properly making a home out of Kodo. The set-up of Yuri's apartment had struck Luke as convenient - there was plenty of space for the single occupant that could easily be partitioned in the event of a visitor, and there wasn't any fussing with room keys or trying to figure out where the staff had put the things that had been left around before heading out. He couldn't very well leave Emil without anywhere to go, though, and so it seemed a better idea to search for appropriate accommodations. The ensuing discovery of advertisements for a newer complex with numerous accommodations of varying sizes had inspired the boy to invite Guy into the matter as well, and his agreement found the pair in search of the advertised apartments. Luke had had a lofty ambition to resolve the apartment situation on his own, but since it was no long a decision that affected only him, he had reluctantly - and simultaneously with great relief - accepted Guy's assistance.

And it seemed that assistance was serendipitous. "Yeah, no, I think we're definitely going in the wrong direction," Luke frowned, comparing the addresses on the papers in his hand to those of the buildings they passed. It was painful to admit after insisting that he had been looking into the matter on his own and was sure of how to get to the complex.

After living in the same hotel room for what had been essentially a year [excluding the time the trainers had made their journey to the Hoenn region with Steven Stone], the concept of an apartment of Guy's own was almost surreal. It was a novel sort of thing to have ones own personal space that wasn't constantly invaded by cleaning service employees or nosy managers, and so Luke's suggestion of finding their own boarding was met with much enthusiasm from Guy. He too had seen the benefits of Yuri's apartment and shared Luke's sentiments. He figured it would be beneficial for he, Luke, and Emil to find places they could actually be able to call 'home.' It would be odd not living in a place where the sheets were cleaned daily, but any disadvantage would be repaid ten-fold in benefits, Guy was sure.

...If they would actually find the apartment complex, that is. Guy wasn't entirely sure how long he and Luke had been aimlessly wandering around residential Camphoreon, but he definitely knew they weren't in the right place. He breathed a light sigh as he folded his arms. "Yeah, I think I gathered that. This place doesn't look right." Walking up to Luke, he sneaked a quick glance at the papers in the red-head's hand. "We must have taken a wrong street somewhere. Do you think we should go back?" Guy should have been surprised by this turn of events, but, as much as he hated to admit it, this sort of this was common enough with Luke that it hardly gave him sufficient cause for concern anymore.

He breathed a sigh, obviously disappointed with the direction of things. "Yeah, I guess so... Sorry." What a huge waste of time for both of them. Hopefully they wouldn't have to backtrack too long before getting onto the right course, though... It was hard to say; so much of the area was unfamiliar. He wasn't even sure how to determine what turn had been wrong in the first place. "Damn it... Is it this hard to figure out how to get around in the capital?" It was an offhanded way to redirect his thoughts from his shortcomings, but he supposed he was at least passingly curious about the city in which he had been raised but had never seen with his own eyes.
