One of the newest members of Seeds happened to be someone familiar - or rather, it was someone whom she had met in the past, but never really did meet again, even if they were supposed to. Things happened, she got busy, and now, she couldn't help feeling a little guilty about that sort-of broken promise, even if it was more like forgetting about a meet-up. It was, however, a relief to know that she was still alive and well.
Which might be why she was currently walking up and down the corridor she was sure Riyo's room was located; it was surprisingly easy, since after giving the description and name of the ghoul to several Demon dorm residents, they directed her here... Something about cats, and looking for a room with a weird smell, rather noisy with the sound of meowing...
She hadn't found a room with that description though, so she kept looking.

If Riyo was good about one thing, it was keeping her hoard of cats in check. Or at least, she had been for a long time. Right now Riyo could barely take care of herself, so everything else was... A little hectic, to say the least.
She'd managed to teach her cats a lot of neat tricks. Cleaning up after themselves? Well, she was still working on that one. Hard to teach a kid how to clean their room when the rest of the house was a pig sty. She was in about the same predicament.
The weird smell had risen from a couple of things. In her discombobulation, Riyo had tried to polish her hardwood floor with things other than conventional Pine-maul. Tea was not a good substitute for floor cleaner, come to find out. Npr vice versa.
A figure emerged from one of the doors down the hall, accompanied by the sound of meowing cats. "Yeah yeah. I'll bring back food." The feminine voice grumbled. It was Riyo alright... But she sure didn't look like Riyo. She looked a little.. Unkempt. Her clothes were wrinkled and a little fuzzy from cat hair, like she'd failed to go to the cleaners recently.
The cat demon turned to close the door, apparently not realizing that a nergal hazcat had latched onto the back of her black button-up shirt. Either that or she didn't care. After having bumped people in the hall numerous times, Riyo made sure to look both ways before even daring to move...
Which was when she spotted a familiar pink-haired ghoul.
Oh s**t.
... What was her name again?
"Oh, uh... Hi... You." Great save, Riyo. Great save.

Lizzy was starting to wonder if someone had pointed her in the wrong direction, or maybe she had taken a wrong turn somewhere, resulting her to be los- She blinked, looking up at the voice; she had been so distracted that she didn't even hear someone approaching.
"R-Riyo?" She practically stared at the ghoul; she looked like Riyo, yet at the same time, she sure did not remember her looking like... That. What she remembered was a sharply dressed, well-groomed ghoul - and this did not look like the Riyo from her memory. She cleared her throat, looking away as she blushed, just realizing that she had been staring, "Uh, you look... Different... Oh, and there's a little something there-" She sheepishly gestured at the back of her shirt.

"Uh... I'm guessing that wasn't meant to be a compliment." The ghoul raised a clawed hand to scratch her frazzled head, looking down at her shirt with a grimace.
Wait? A little something? "I have a lot of little something's on my shirt." But to humor the pink-haired demon, Riyo tried to glance as far back as she could. Oh. Yes. That was a little something.
Both hands reached back to remove the cat that was currently doing a lint impression, tucking the small creature under her arm.
Felix looked up at Lizzy expectantly, a muffled meow escaping from behind the mask. Who was this? Were they friendly? They smelled good~
"A-anyways. I haven't really had the time or patience to sit down and clean so... Everything's a bit of a mess right now." Now how would she get the ghoul to drop her name? Maybe she should just admit she didn't remember.
"Oh. Did you want to see the cat?" Riyo pointed towards her door as she remembered just where she'd met Lizzy. The feline didn't seem spiteful about the fact that they'd missed eachother. She'd had business of her own to take care of, so taking Chard down to remove stitches was something she'd had to do on a whim.

"Ah, no, it's just that..." Her sheepish smile remained as she wrung her hands together, "You look really different, and I guess that... Surprised me?"
Her attention went to the minipet instead, glad for the distraction as she reached out a hand towards it, pausing to look up at Riyo, "Um, may I pat it?" Always good to ask for permission first, seeing how some owners did not like their pets to be touched, or some pets might be too unfriendly for strangers to touch without being bitten or scratched.
"Yes please!" She nodded, not really minding a messy room - how bad could it be? Especially since her boilfriend's room was in a mess as well. Then, as if just remembering something, she added, looking apologetic, "Sorry I didn't go with you to the vet for the follow-up... Things got a little busy..."

"You don't have to sugar coat it. I've got my big girl pants on. I can handle honesty." The feline grumbled, setting Felix on the ground when Lizzy asked if he could be touched. "Yes, he's one of my friendlier cats. Have at it."
And friendly he was. Immediately Felix approached the strange ghoul, sniffing and rubbing himself against the ghoul with little worries.
Riyo sighed, looking back towards her door with a furrowed brow. They were going to be mad if she didn't come into that room with food. Oh well...
"It's not a big deal." The key slid back out of her pocket and into the lock. "I've been busy as well. Lots of things happening..." Her face grew serious, though it seemed the feline had no intention of naming just what. When the door swung open, a chorus of meows greeted the ghouls. There was a stampede of fur, like the Niagra Falls of cute fuzzy creatures. "BRACE YOURSELF!"
And then they were surrounded by kneeding, cuddling, and climbing cats that seemed starved for attention. In the few weeks that Riyo had stayed in their room, that was all they got. Now they wanted more. "Uh. Hold on-" L. Her name started with an L. Louise? Linda? No, those weren't it.. Forget the name for now. "Shouldn't take but a minute to spot her."

Lizzy smiled at the hazcat, petting it on the head, and giving the back of its ear scratches; it served as a good distraction, really, seeing how she really was being honest already - she was honestly surprised, and honestly taken aback by the huge change. Sure, it had been forever, but... Then again, she was glad to note that Riyo didn't lose an eye. Or a limb.
That was good.
"Brace myself? Brace myself for wha- Ahhhhh-" Shortly after, she found herself on the floor somehow, dazed, and surrounded by millions - alright, maybe that was an exaggeration - of feline minipets. She wasn't sure what to do, so she just started to reach out, petting the minipets that had wandered close enough to her, "A-alright..."
To be honest, she really wondered how they were going to find one cat among so many. To her, some of them looked... Exactly the same. She wasn't even sure where the friendly hazcat from before was.

They may have looked exactly the same to anyone else, but Riyo knew her cats. They were, sadly, her only family. Which meant everyone had a name... No matter how stupid the name might be.
The ghoul stood still as her eyes combed through the dozens of cats crawling around their feet searching for lovin's. "Ahah!"
Riyo took two cautious steps to the side and reached her arms into the furry pile. In went the empty hands, out came a pleasantly plump ghost cat with a big content look on her face.
"Here she is." The cat demon declared as she held Chard under the front paws like a baby. "The stitches didn't even scar."
Slowly, Riyo held the cat out to Lizzy. "She's still friendly, if you'd like to hold her."

She was, admittedly, a little surprised that Riyo managed to pick out that one cat out of so many, and in such a short amount of time.
"That's good to hear! And yes please!" She smiled, taking the cat, and gently settling her down on her lap; it amazed to think that the last time she saw her, this plump cat was still a small, injured kitten at the vet, being treated. She stroked slender fingers along her back, "Sorry I never visited... Uh..." She paused briefly, and when she looked back up at Riyo, there was a faint blush on her cheeks, "I can't remember, but... She has a name, right...?" She was usually so good with names too...

"It's really not a big deal." Riyo tried to reaffirm the idea that people neglecting to bother her didn't upset the ghoul. Honestly, she was more grateful than anything. Probably shouldn't say that though..
"I get tired of people visiting me sometimes." Sometimes. Not all the time. Sometimes, she'd come to discover, the company was something she needed.
Oh, thank Jack. She'd forgotten the cat's name. That meant she had an excuse to ask HER name. Right? Fair was fair. "Oh, uh. Yeah. Her name is Chard. And your name starts with an L, right?" Might as well be up front about it. Show the ghoul she'd made SOME progress remembering her name.
The fat cat seemed to remember Lizzy, emanating a series of purrs and mews as she was handed off to the demon. Oooo, attention. She never got enough of that. Attention and food. Best things in the world. Ever.

"R-really?" She seemed surprised at Riyo's comment; she had always enjoyed visits from people, and she had already enjoyed visiting people... Which meant that she might had annoyed people from visiting them too often?! The thought made her frown as she lightly scratched the cat behind her ears.
"Oh right, Chard," She echoed the name provided, looking at the minipet on her lap as she continued to fuss over her, giving her all the attention and affection that she never gave during the past many months... It helped that Chard was responding though; it was almost encouraging her to continue.
"It does!" She nodded, looking up at Riyo as she giggled, the frown that was there replaced by a smile, "It's Lizzy."

"Well, I've always lived alone, so the sudden overflow of visitors was both strange and annoying at first." At first.. Yeah.. "And I guess I was surprised at how social some people were."
Oh, good. Lizzy wasn't offended. Or if she was, she didn't make it obvious. For someone so brightly colored, she honestly wasn't obnoxious as Riyo had first pegged her for. She also seemed a lot more... Ghouly than the feline was.
Which might've been a good thing right now.
"Uh. Alright then Lizzy." Riyo seemed to become somewhat nervous, looking away as she quietly began to herd the rest of the cats back into the room. Most of them seemed intent on listening, but some of the stragglers stubbornly tried to hide around the other demon. "So... What do you know about prom?" It was a silly question from a shut in. She didn't know if all ghouls were so excited as some of the others she'd seen.

"Ohh, I see," She still did not really understand it, but then again, in the beginning, Mac was always annoyed to see her, so... Maybe it was something like that? Shun hadn't always been welcoming to her either... But people change, so maybe they got used to having visitors too.
"Prom?" She echoed, still fussing over Chard even as she looked up to address Riyo, a smile forming on her lips as she nodded; she was clearly one of those 'ghouls excited for prom'. However, for her, it was more than just a chance to dress up - it was the opportunity to spend a day with friends, without worrying that they were all going to die some horrible death.
"It's an event! Well, I think the theme changes every year, but it's usually a semi-formal party... This year, the theme is masquerade, so I imagine that it would be pretty formal, and masks are of course, required! And there's food, and usually dancing..." She nodded, still smiling away, "Ohhh, will you be attending it?"

The smile and nod made it clear. Lizzy was fully aware and excited about prom. Sighing, Riyo listened to the spider ghoul talk about what the whole thing was about. Formal? Masquerade? Required? Dancing? Good grief. Seemed like a lot of rules for something that was supposed to be fun, but such a thing wasn't unheard of in her book. Work socials were like that, though she'd rarely attended any. That's what the VP was paid for. At the very least, it didn't seem like a complete romance-fest like some of the hen gossip had made it appear... Or was Lizzy just not telling her everything?
"Uh.. Yeah, I guess. Someone asked me to go with them.." The cat demon said quietly, glancing around to make sure nobody else was listening. Why? She wasn't sure. It made her feel weird to say someone had asked her to go anywhere with them.
Leaning down next to Lizzy, Riyo managed to grab the last few cats before they could latch onto the pink-haired ghoul. "So uh... Do I... Do I have to wear a... Um. One of those..."
She almost looked like she was having a heart attack when she pushed out the word, "Dresses?" But at least she hadn't stuttered this time.

"Ohhh? Someone asked?" She beamed at Riyo, wondering if it was someone she knew, "A partner is optional, but I think it's more fun to go with someone~" It would be nice if they could get a table just for friends and acquaintances again... Prom's a great time to get to know more people, as well as bring people closer together.
You know, without the whole 'in danger' or 'dying' thing.
Holding Chard up for a cuddle, clearly enjoying playing with the minipet, she tilted her head at the question on dresses; due to the topic of prom, she found herself too distracted to pay attention to the other minipets, giving them the occasional pat whenever they tried to climb onto her lap. While Lizzy wanted to say that YES, DRESSES ARE AWESOME AND THUS REQUIRED, she could tell that... Well, Riyo clearly wasn't a fan of them. That, or she regarded them as some sort of a guilty pleasure.
Which Lizzy could totally understand.
"Uh, um..." She paused, "There's no rule that it must be a dress! As long as it's formal, I'm sure that anything is fine! Do you have something in mind...?"
