Bix left the building with his head hanging. The mission was still fresh and now he was carrying the clipboard, a further weight on his conscience that he now was being forced to power through. A thousand and one thoughts shot through his mind and all of them ended with 'everyone is going to hate me'.
Thankfully as they'd cleared most of the campus, the fog wasn't thick and it was reasonably safe to loiter around the grounds so long as you had your weapon. Even battered trainees didn't have much to worry about. Bix took a grateful gulp of air, the first real breath it felt like, since before Gale's mission.

Despite what had happened on that mission…despite what she may or may not have heard…whether those words had been real or not, Molly’s concern for the young man left with the hand breaker overrode any of that doubt and insecurity. Thus Molly was shifting on her feet anxiously back and forth, wringing her hands off to the side of the entrance to the main building. She was relieved as soon as she saw Bix come out…but now was the real question…
“BIX!” The Mist trainee cried, leaping out in front of him and she bent a bit to stare at his hands. “Please tell me they’re not broken!?”

"What?" Bix actually jumped when Molly exploded at him. "Broken? Oh!" He remembered her comment in the office. "Nope. All fine." He gave her a smile and a successful wiggle of his fingers. "Did he really break someone's hands?"
He tucked the clipboard under his arm though his mind couldn't keep off of it. Maybe he could talk to Molly about it? She seemed okay after the mission but he still wanted to apologize..
"Ummmm.. can I talk to you about something?" He didn't really leave mystery involved in it. He pulled out the clipboard and wagged it in the air. "Like where no one might hear us?"

Molly breathed a sigh of relief, placing a hand over her heart as her shoulders sagged from the ease of anxiety as well.
“Oh good! I’m so happy he didn’t break them…oh!” She leaned a bit closer to him and whispered. “He did! Jude told me that Caelius broke his hand a while ago…um…he said he had uh…deserved it…but I don’t think anyone should be breaking anyone’s hand! That’s just not nice at all!” Not. Nice. She leaned back, blinking a bit at his question and then watched as he waved the clipboard around. “Oh…of course!” She replied, smiling a bit. “You can talk to me about anything! Uh…” Molly tapped her chin. “…Would you like to head to one of the beaches…?”
Always pretty desolate down there.

"Sure." Bix nodded and looked around, tucking the clipboard suspiciously under his arm again. "Apparently people were on the roof the other day and you can see almost everything from up there."
He started walking, still dirty with a reddish mark on his face from where Gale hit him. He was quiet at first but as they pulled away from the buildings he finally started.
"Sorry if.. the mission. I don't even know what happened but I don't think you'd say or do anything that I heard in there.. so.." He was staring at his toes, face red which thankfully made the mark disappear. "Just I hope you don't hate me or anything for anything that might have happened in there."
Before she could respond, he rambled again. "And I'm sorry about that date and I totally sprung it on you and I had fun but I probably got too...." something "well I promise I won't again and I hope we can still hang out and stuff.... " He did look up. "Maybe we can do some of those things.. on the list? Without any weird pressure or anything? I don't want you to think I am going to be like leaping on you all the time..." Yeah this was his rambly moment but the tense apologies finally broke into a smile. "OH! And I want to get a tattoo.. so put it on your list."

She couldn’t help but look up at the roof now. She had heard something about that fiasco…and pointedly decided to keep her nose out of it…and she was glad she did. It wasn’t nice to interrupt or spy on people.
Molly started to walk with him, quiet for the time being as well until Bix decided to speak up. She looked over at the young man, blinking in surprise but listened as he spoke. She was going to try to get a word in…but uh…he kept on going, and it’d be rude to interrupt. She also looked startled as he talked about their last date…ah…she had…been wanting to talk to him about that as well…
As Bix finished, Molly just looked a bit stunned and surprised…he had…kind of took her thunder in a way…now what was she suppose to say? “…Uh…” So eloquent. Molly seemed to regain some of her function then, and shook her head a bit. “O…oh…no, Bix…I could never hate you um…I…I didn’t think you all would…say things like that, anyways.” She really hoped so, anyways. She wanted to whole heartedly believe it was trick. “I’m really sorry too…if it sounded like I said something…I swear I didn’t! OH. I’m also really, really, really sorry for pushing you as well…” She bit her lip. “…There’s no excuse for that.”
She paused. “…Um…I…actually wanted to talk to you…about that as well…um…us…? I guess…is that alright?”

Bix maintained his crimson hue they were finally moving down the incline to the beach and losing sight of the buildings. The sound of the ocean was closer and the smell much more fresh.
"You don't have to.. say.. " Bix dreaded whatever she had to say. He was positive it was something bad. How she didn't like him like that and he needed to just give up on it. He figured he did enough rambling though and fell silent again, staring at his shoes. "I probably just.. presumed.. I shouldn't have.."

Eventually they came up to some of the rocks on the shore, and the young woman paused as she looked over at Bix, her brows furrowing. “… But…uh…Bix?” She tried timidly. She really…really didn’t like talking about this…it made her anxious…like she was treading in a mine field…she didn’t want to upset or hurt him. But at the same time…she had a nagging feeling that this would need to be said right now. “… You…haven’t even heard what I’m going to say yet…” He couldn’t know already could he? Molly sat down on a nearby rock and stared up at the sky, her brows furrowed. She kind of had been rehearsing a speech to relay back to the albino…but he kind of blew it out of the water with all of his rambling. Oh dear…” Oh gosh…” She cupped a cheek. “ I have no idea how to start…I’m sorry!” She smiled sheepishly at him.

Bix just frowned, already feeling pretty down and out. He sat down on the rock beside her but didn't say anything really initially. He fiddled with his braid as he always did when he was nervous or upset. "Remember when we came here before because you had to tell me those things? About your sister and you?" Bix glanced back up at her and despite being sad the only similar look would be from a kicked puppy. "Well I have something like that.. and I wanted to tell you. Maybe I should tell you first? Cause it has me all confused and.." He shifted and tucked one of his legs under him. Bix didn't want to make Molly talk about anything that made her uncomfortable. "So to start.. ummm.. I still really like you. And I don't want you to have that be confused or anything. I do. You're awesome and I have fun with you and everything. Maybe I moved too fast with the kiss or the hand holding or... " he shrugged. "This mission we just went on was really... hurtful and things. So maybe we can just hang out like normal? Without that stuff? Cause I want to be able to hang out with you right now and not worry about if I am doing things right or wrong... and I just found out somethings about me from Deus. From my file.." His eyes darted to his braid again. "And I want to share it with you and not worry about.... the feelings I might have or.. you do.. or don't. But I don't want some other guy coming in the mean time..." Stealing her away, from friendship or more or.. or ... anything really. "Nevermind that part. Sorry." He gave her an apologetic smile. Bix waved his hands at her. "Please don't say anything if you are having a hard time. Just say 'yes lets hang out' or ... 'no we can't' and that makes it easier right? It'll just be like normal and hanging out and not doing romance stuff." As long as she said it was okay to hang out, he'd breathe a sigh of relief. "You seem like you had something you wanted to say and I totally went rambly and hijacked the conversation.." He tapped the clipboard he was carrying on his knee. "This just is totally dominating my thoughts and I had to tell you. Because a bunch of people are probably going to really mad at me soon and you need to know why."

Molly…had a feeling that there was conflicting topics of interested right now. How she felt about them…and then what Bix wanted to talk about.
She just stared at the albino perplexed. He was touching on a lot of the stuff she had wanted to say…but she really did want to try getting some of her thoughts and feelings out…but then he was gesturing to the clipboard again and well…Molly folded like a tower of cards. Her issues weren’t really that important…and Bix seemed more upset anyways. “…O…oh of course, Bix! I want us to always um…hang out! That was never going to change…I still…want to spend time with you and do things with you…” She rubbed her cheek.
“Um…but you uh…please, I’m ready to hear what you have to say!” Molly, unlike Bix then, fell silent as she stared at the albino, ready to be a good listener.

The ghoul wantsssss to talk you idiot.
What? He replied dumbly to his weapon.
She wanted to tell you ssssomthing and you just told her not to bassically.

BOILSSS ARE SSSSO STUPID!
AHHHH! Bix yelled in distress at his weapon.
"Umm.." Now her eyes were on him. "Okay.." He smiled a little but now he was thinking about what Mina said. He fell silent and stared at the clipboard again.
"Ok I'll say my thing and then you say yours. My umm weapon is really yelling at me right now. She's saying I'm a jerk. So she's gonna make me sit here all night until you get your say.." He turned red and rubbed his neck but continued.
"So basically... " He turned to her. "This is a secret okay? I wasn't even supposed to know and now that I do there's no going back." He glanced at the clipboard again and then back to her eyes. He was less uneasy now and very serious. "Lady hunters can't have babies. Sometimes male hunters will have children back.. you know off the island. Well Deus keeps track of these kids because the ability to become a hunter is heriditary."
Bix tapped the clipboard on his knee. "So apparently I am from some genetic line like that. I don't know who it was but I think it was my dad's side because he died when I was a baby. But Deus won't tell me anything. Dr. H says since I'm a trainee I have no rights.. "
He looked back out at the ocean again but it was clear there was more. It didn't explain the clipboard.

“O…oh…” Molly waved a hand at him. “Don’t worry about it, Bix.” She tried to assure, smiling a bit nervously. “It’s nothing!” She chirped. “Um…really…it’s nothing…You don’t need to sit here all night, I promise.” It just felt easier to dismiss it right now at this point…she didn’t want to be a bother.
Just focus on his concerns!
The young woman’s voice went hushed as Bix started this with ‘secret’. She nodded her head. “I won’t tell a soul!” She promised…and once he laid down the information…Molly just started at him blankly. Well…lady hunters not having babies didn’t really surprise her…this was not an environment for children! “…O…oh…it is?” She echoed, her brows furrowing. It was…genetic…? So…did that mean…someone in her family was…
Her mind was blown.
Regardless, she nodded her head as Bix explained. So…that was why his name was on the list? This was starting to sound…complicated…and Molly didn’t like that one bit. She waited though, and continued to listen to the young man, waiting for him to continue with a nod of her head.

"Well.." Bix looked at the clipboard. "Caelius told me that he can give me some of the information I want to know."
Bix red eyes drew back up to Molly. "But I have to rat out some intermediates who aren't adequately performing. If I don't he won't give me the info."
Bix put the clipboard down on the rock and turned more to face her. He was serious now, very, and there wasn't any doubt in his eyes. "I'm doing it. People are going to get in trouble because of me and some of them have to be my friends. I just.. it just has to be like that. But I have to do it. The punishment for them is short compared to me not finding this out... however long it would take otherwise."
Bix sighed. "I just wanted to tell you ahead of time. I won't write you down." He laughed, "Because seriously you are kick a**. I hear people talk about you whupping them in spars and stuff. You deserved your promotion. But please, you can't tell anyone else please. Also the people I pick, if Caelius doesn't agree with my assessment than I get the punishment instead."

As Bix went on and on, Molly steadily grew more and more horrified as she listened. That was…that was harsh and terrifying. The thought of turning someone in to get in trouble…much less a friend was…She didn’t want to think about it.
This was why Molly did try as hard as she could…so that no one would turn her in to get in trouble.
The red head seemed a bit relieved that Bix said she wasn’t going to be on the list. That did mean she was doing good, right? Still…this was not an easy topic…but in a way she guess she could see why Bix would go through with it. Would she do all of that for information on her family? She…didn’t know, actually. She was rather content with…what she knew and what she didn’t know. Ignorance was bliss, sometimes. Oh dear. Her mouth was dry, and after a moment, she finally found gusto to talk again, her voice still hushed.
“…I…I’m really sorry for you.” Was all she could think to say. “But I uh…I won’t tell a soul, I promise.”

"Thanks." At least he was calmer now, not rambling. He looked back out at the ocean. "I didn't have any questions about my family before now. I was pretty happy with everything. But what if it has to do with my real dad? My mom always..." He frowned. "I could always tell she loved him a lot when she talked about him. I don't like the idea that Deus lied to her. She's..." He shrugged. "My mom is the best and she named me for my real dad.. so shouldn't I know?"
He fiddled with the edge of his coat, frayed and dirty from the mission they'd just come back from. "I don't have my list yet but it's all I can think about now. I just didn't want you to be mad at me or hate me... if you found out I got people in trouble. I just.. ugh.. Caelius is such a d**k."
After that he fell silent. Nothing else. He'd gotten it out and apparently calmed down quite a bit. It was a good chance for her to say what she needed to but he didn't mention it. Mina was sure to mention to him though, if he tried to leave without letting Molly say something.
