I power-read the first eight chapters at two in the morning. Things were rocky at first, but by the time I made it to where the end of volume one would be the story was actually starting to get a hook to it. I know I've said I don't like Tsuna in the past, but I really respect his character the more I read the manga. He's just an average wimpy kid, but I assume as the series progresses he gains a bit of confidence and continues growing into a person worthy of leading a mafia.

It definitely begins to get very interesting. Tsuna's character development is one of the great things about it. The thing I enjoyed most about it is the familiarity. It's pretty whacky and extreme at times.
Glad you're enjoying it so far. I wasn't really able to tolerate it for a long while, than I loved it after getting to know a lot of the characters but like a long while in so if you like it now chances are you'll really enjoy it later. Although I freaking hate Bianci sometimes and feel like she's extremely pointless.

I've got the patience of a animal with much patience when I know things are going to take a turn for the awesome. By the time I get to that point there's a good chance I'll be beyond the point of return and think KHR is is the beezneez, hahahaha.
Bianci really needs a redeeming moment. I try to like her but she just isn't growing on me much.

Haha, I had high expectations for it, but it turned out being nothing like I thought it would be. It goes without saying I still enjoyed it because of its own type of magic, loved it even. Tsuna just really grows on you. I would love to meet Akira Amano honestly.
Bianci is just..... POINTLESS *COMPLAIN COMPLAIN COMPLAIN* I don't know why she exists. If you find any plot at all where she is absolutely needed or a crucial part of the team or says something remotely intelligent or clever please let me know.

When in doubt, read a more recent chapter and see where the story goes.
Current Tsuna acts so awesome I want to catch up so I can figure out wtf I read. *shameless*
maybe Bianci is the reader's punching bag, that person everyone loves to hate more than the big baddie.

What's going on right now is pretty nuts. I am confused on a good number of things. Wait till you meet Byakuran, though. He's definitely interesting. He's a great antagonist, really drew me in. He's like an ultra baller D: don't wanna ruin the surprise.
I think you might be right on the whole Bianci deal. >; ( I thought the antagonists were pretty fun, all of them.

Freaking love the humor in this manga even though half of it is probably unintentional.

OMG there's SOOOOO many derpy moments like that, it's AMAZING. Things you aren't supposed to laugh at, you're going to. There's like a zillion gay mishaps for Gokuderpa (Am I the only one who thinks this is a strange name?) and Tsuna CONSTANTLY freaking out about everything, and Chrome always going BOSSU... BOSSU.... BOSSU.... and things happen for no reason, and it's just so CRAZY, and so AWESOME.
I'm catching up with it now because I am possibly insane for not doing so earlier since it's ongoing.

It's a heck of a mountain to climb. You're definitely right. It takes tolerance. I love reading these because I want to become a better artist and writer, and I like to inspect every part of the story, so I have a lot of patience and put it in me to stomach the annoyance. Later on down the road these stories blossom and help me figure out what's truly needed in what I want to create/ inspire me to press forward.
I don't want to make the mistakes and flaws I am seeing and personally dislike because I have strong belief that the story should define what you love and aim to inspire as well. Of course there are definitely going to be flaws, that's a given in any action fantasy adventure.
That being said, I need another Manga. So if anyone has any suggestions please send them my way. emotion_c8

@Ivy: You really have to read it for what it is to get any enjoyment out of it. It's hard to do, but once it happens KHR is magic.
@Brase: Oh gosh yes. And Yamamoto is like "man kids these days have the coolest toys and games!" completely oblivious that life doesn't work like the movies. And Tsuna is like "no man, this shiz is real" and he's like "hahahahaha, riiiiight." *dodges another explosion*.
KHR comes out at the end of the week if that helps you stay caught up. : D
And I can never recommend Pandora Hearts enough if you haven't read it.

I am going to get on it though when I get home tonight. I was reading a little last night it seems interesting. I would have stayed up all night if I didn't have to get up early today, and I know that for a fact. rofl

It is very under appreciated in my opinion. Pandora Hearts.... you can only sum it up as "complicated". When I dunno what to read I re-read it and get my mind blown twice. D:
