The pair had crashed once they had been taken to the weyrling barracks, and now, as the little blue's stomach began to rumble, he nudged his partner's hand.
I am hungry.
E'lov yawned. "Alright." He rolled out of bed, and led the hatchling out of the barracks and over to where they had been told there would be food for the hatchlings. Later, it wouldn't be this easy, but right now, it was important that the little ones were fed, especially with the atypicals.
Food now? Magith's eyes whirled with hunger, and E'lov smiled down at him apologetically, grabbing a hunk of meat and feeding it to him.
"Here you go." With Magith working on the piece of meat, he glanced around, looking to see who around. These were the people that he was going to be with for the next long while, and he felt as if he aught to get to know them.

After the Hatching had finished and Roeline had finally been able to fill Wofth's belly she spent a good amount of time cleaning and oiling him, the two chattering incessantly back and forth the entire time. From there they too had gone to their new Weyrling barracks to rest for a bit and chat a bit more before the young black finally fell to sleep.
Roeline had been busy setting things up around her half of the room when her partner woke once more, and it surprised her to feel just how hungry he was already. She new baby dragons ate a lot, but it was a different thing to 'know' this sort of thing abstractly than to actually feel his hunger as if it were her own. Well, it certainly made it easier to take care of him this way. "Ready for meal number two~?" she asked with a bright smile, dancing over to the black's side to stroke the smooth hide. So soft~ heart
Mm, definitely, he agreed, taking a moment to lean against the hand stroking him. Carry me? The walk is a long one.
"Naturally~" Picking the young dragon up in her arms, she carried him off to where the food was.
-------
When they arrived, it seemed that they were not the first ones there. "Helloooo~" the sandy-haired preteen greeted cheerfully, setting Wofth down onto his feet once they were near the table. "Lovely day, isn't it?" How could it not be? They had their partners now!
Good day, Magith, Wofth greeted amicably, his eyes whirling in pleased hues as he approached. Have you and Yours gotten settled in? Of course, he merely asked as a means of starting the conversation. Once the other had answered he would be sharing what a marvelous time he and His had been having thus far. Such a sweet girl, and so eager to listen. Yes yes, he had definitely chosen best.

It wasn't long before a young girl had arrived, carrying a black. He was adorable, and when she spoke, E'lov smiled at her. "Very much so." It really couldn't be anything else, though it could be even better if he could manage to find some klah. Maybe once he got Magith fed, and taken care of. "I'm E'lov and this is Magith."
Good day to you as well. The blue answered, taking another piece of meat from E'lov. We are doing just fine. Have you? He drifted into silence after he answered the black's question, not really one to talk. He would answer, and if he thought of something to ask, he would ask it, but other than that, he would listen.
His rider on the other hand, was more than willing to chat. "Are you weyrbred?" he asked, curiously.

"Well met, E'lov and Magith," Roeline answered with a bright smile. "My name is Roeline, and this here is Wofth. I'm sure we'll be seeing rather a lot of each other from here on out." After all, the thirteen of them would be training and attending classes together for quite a while to come. It was only natural that they would get to know their 'clutchmates' in the process.
Oh yes, we've been settling in quite marvelously, Wofth began, very much eager to answer back even while being fed. The advantage of mental communication: it was very easy to multitask. Roemine is quite a delight. Did you know that she bathed and oiled me right after the Hatching? It was quite nice. Of course, we've spent quite a lot of time talking since then; getting to know each other and the like. We really make quite a nice pair. I'm looking forward to getting to see a bit more of the Weyr here, though I'm sure we'll be seeing quite a lot of it soon enough. Does yours also have family here? When Roeline wasn't giving him meat to eat, the young black openly chattered and churred aloud while he spoke with his brother. It seemed that he wasn't quite opposed to more 'verbal' means of communication in addition to mental communication.
"Basically," Roeline answered the bluerider with a small giggle. "My family are beastcrafters here at the Weyr, so I've lived here all my life. What about you? Are you also from the Weyr?"

"I am sure we will." With those words, E'lov had decided that her age was a non-issue, her dragon wouldn't rise, and there was no other reason that he should treat her as if she was still a child.
She sounds very sweet. Mine is very good at taking care of me as well. The black was very chatty, and Magith looked up at E'lov pleadingly, hoping that his rider would be willing to intervene. But no, he just feed the blue another piece of meat, responding back to Roeline's questions.
"I'm sorta weyrbred," he admitted. "I was born here, but I've spent most of my life with my foster-uncle, out at his vineyard. My foster-mum wanted me to keep me out of trouble, and it did succeed."
I think mine has family, but he is not close to them.
