Tori had decided to go for a short run since she hadn't done it in a long time and found that she had fallen a little out of shape. Aklin had to agree since he was getting more board with all the reading she had been doing. Alright, you were right, Lin. I will start getting back into a schedule for training, research and other things. Tori said with a sight as her weapon had been right but she wanted to read all the things to try and forget what had happened in the desert. Sighing again as he was right but she didn't like the nightmares she had been having but glad that they have been happening less now, since she didn't what to remember other things in her past at least not right now. I can try. She said and smiled a little since she had ended up at the training grounds. Tori wasn't in the mood to smack around some dummies as they were fun to hit but since her spar with Before, Tori wanted more of a challenge and then took out her phone. Dragain Text from Tori: Ariane, I want a rematch with you. I'm on the training grounds now. Smiling more as this was going to be fun to have another spar with Ariane and this time she was a little stronger then the last time. Tori leaned against one of the training dummies as she waited for Ariane to come.

Ariane hadn't sparred for a long time - she had been too busy trying to get rid of all the fog creatures that had decided to make their home at the dorms. Thus, the text that she received from Tori - the girl she remembered as having a sort of sword-chain-ball weapon - was a welcomed sight; she was getting a little bored punting fog creatures around anyway. Readily accepting the challenge, she fired off a quick reply text to the girl before leaving the underground bunks.naggeela Text to Tori: I'll be right there.
"I see you've gotten rather busy since the last time we met," She chuckled, gripping the chains of her weapon, pulling it taut as she held it up, "Grats on the promotion."

Hearing that she had a text she looked at and smiled a little bigger as Tori put her phone away since she was getting more excited. Soon she saw Ariane and grinned a little since she admired the Deather. Tori did have to wonder how much stronger she had gotten but she also knew that she would learn a lot from Ariane as well.
Yep!
"That I have and it was all worth it too," Tori replied as she watched Ariane summon her weapon and she could feel her own weapon get excited as well. "Thanks, it means a lot to me," she said as she summoned her own weapon that clanked moving into a defensive stance.

Tori grinned more as she carefully studied Ariane to see if she could find an opening of some kind. "Well here I come!" Tori said as she charged at Ariane with her sword held low as she charged. Once close enough she raised her sword and swiped down at the Deather. Tori clanked as she backed up a little wondering if next time she should use her chain and ball.

Even from the very first strike, she could see - and feel - that Tori had improved; the blow had more force behind it, and it was more purposeful. It was obvious that she had gotten a lot more comfortable with her weapon than before... In fact, she was pretty sure that her Fear shield had taken quite the beating.
"You've really improved... And now, my turn," She grinned, taking a quick step forward before side-stepping, trying to find an open spot. Swiftly, she brought one end of her weapon down against Tori's back, and then pushed herself back with her foot, keeping a distance from the other Intermediate hunter, "I see that you've gotten used to handling your weapon."

Wincing a little at the blow on her back it was strong just like the last time they had spared. Taking a deep breath as she felt the blow but knowing that her Fear shield took most of it. Tori was total more comfortable with her weapon even if she still had troubles with it every now and then but better than before.
"I have, but you are strong as ever too," Tori said as she started to twirl her chain in her other hand as she started her charge in keeping her sword low to the ground as she ran to keep it out of the way. "I have, but still have more to learn about using the chain and ball part better," she said. Once close enough Tori threw her ball and chain right for Ariane's legs.

"It's important to keep in shape, after all," She replied with a laugh, almost stumbling over when she felt something hit her legs, throwing her off balance. Stumbling backwards, she used her weapon to help her regain her footing, using the opportunity to aim a swing at Tori, "You're getting innovative though."

"That is very true, something that I need to do more of since I have been reading more than I should," Tori replied as she gave the sheepish smile. Tori thought to use her chain again since she thought she wasn't doing too bad. But this time when charging at Ariane she didn't twirl it but just threw the ball right at Ariane's arm.
"I'm? I take that is a good thing then?" she asked as she thought that maybe she should think less when attacking as her weapon chuckled at her as his hissing was getting louder.

"Reading? Been busy researching something?" She asked with a chuckle, moving back just in time to not receive the full damage from Tori's last attack, "Or just reading for the fun of it?" Even though she had personally never found reading to be enjoyable as a pastime. Reading just reminded her of the tons of books she had to get through when she was still schooling.
"Sure it is," She laughed, stepping forward to swing her weapon at Tori's side, "You need to be innovative and quick on your feet when battling. Who knows what you might need to do to get out of a situation alive." As Kintama started pulsing in her hands, she grinned, taking several steps back to widen the distance between them.

"Yep, I have been researching to better know the Halloween Creatures," Tori answered a little excited as she took Ariane's blow and with Aklin whining very loudly at her too. "I also read for the fun of it as well, it was one thing before coming to the island that couldn't be taken from me," she added since she just loved to read and to learn new information just got her very excited. Tori was a bookworm threw and threw. In the corner of her eye she could see that Aklin central gem was glowing and well better now then never. Tori took a tighter hold on the hilt of her sword as a thick water oozed out of the central gem of the sword to coat the blade as she charged at Ariane this time charging with the sword held at head level. When close enough Tori jabbed and slashed downward at the Deather. "That is something that I will have to work on as sometimes I just think too much," she admitted and she got a huff of agreement with that. "I will definitely keep that in mind even when I train more," Tori backed up some since she fully well know if she had a charged attack ready that Ariane had one as well. "I see, I see," She grinned, letting out a light chuckle; it was good to know that Tori was serious in her work, even if Ariane had never found much joy in reading up information on Halloween and its denizens; the only reason she did it was so she wouldn't mess up if she was ever asked to go on a mission involving infiltrating Halloween using golems.
"Ah, don't take it the wrong way. Thinking is good," She winced at the attack, backtracking as she widened the distance between them, "It is just sometimes a little better to rely on instincts, from my own experiences." She tossed her weapon at Tori, the glow from the skull-and-crossbones on the bola intensifying as it grew in size; hitting the hunter, inertia caused it to wrap around her, the force from the toss threatening to push her down.
As the glow dimmed, the weapon vanished, appearing for a split second in Ariane's hand as its desummoned form, before changing back into its summoned form.
"I suppose the best way is to strike a balance," She shrugged lightly; she hadn't exactly reached that level herself.

Tori was just ever impress on just how hard Ariane's attacks felt when her charged attack smacked her as Tori almost fell but used her sword sorta like a cane were she wouldn't total fall onto the ground. "I won't and that is true that is something I don't do often. But its something that I might have to try and listen to more often," Tori replied as she recovered from that last attack since she was starting to get out of breath. "That is true and something that I will have to try," Tori said as she readied for another attack. Using her instincts was something that her brain just over rode most of the time but Tori was going to try better to listen as her weapon just chuckled at her a little. Charging for the attack Tori held her sword low for the attack but as she was running Tori had decided to try using her chain as a flail and flung her chain and ball downwards at Ariane when in reach and keeping her sword low to keep it out of the way of the chain. The "surprise" attack did rather heavy damage on her Fear shield, and she could feel bruises forming where Tori had attacked her. Her body was sure to ache the next morning, although she was already starting to feel a little tired from running about... For now, adrenaline was pretty much the only thing keeping her on her feet, and from feeling any sort of pain.
It would fade soon though.
"Time for more spars then," She laughed, wincing slightly as she brought her weapon down on Tori's arm, "I've always found it to be the best way to learn~"

Wincing at the attack on her arm as that did hurt as she shook her arm a little to help the pain fade a little and knew that she was going to feel all the aches for a few days after wards. Tori even thought that she really needed to start running more often too to which Aklin did agree to as well. "Yep, as I didn't have many of them before and I'm going to change that this time around," Tori replied as she was going to keep in mind what Ariane said that spars were the best way to learn. Alright she was going to do this and Aklin murred with happiness as the Lifer charged at Ariane with her sword raised high chain clinking while she ran, then taking an diagonal swipe across the Deathers body.
