Tori was excited that she was now an intermediate and she did want to show her best friend her new coat and to get a rematch as well. She also wanted to try out Aklin since should have gotten stronger and for the fact that she needed to train more to get more useful and not suck at fighting since her sparing record wasn't so great. Closing the book that she was looking out and taking out her phone to text Before. Huni Pi Text from Tori Heya Before I want to meet you on the training grounds I have something to show you! Smiling as she sent the text and booked it from the labs to the training grounds as she was going to pull a fast one on him not letting him know that she wanted a rematch and fair fight too even tho he had been really kind on letting her win the last one. Win or lose she didn't care as Tori just wanted to get stronger and it had been fun sparing with Before too. Aklin hummed in delight for that spar.

Before had been attempting a round of Death Sweeper, to little success. He could have sworn the course had gotten harder since the Insanity Creatures had their way with the place. Either that or someone decided things were too easy and as a result their performance had dropped in the field. Whichever it was, Before needed to take a break, and what better time to check whether or not he had any messages. Sure enough, he did! Tori smiled bigger as she saw the Misty as she could see that he was studying her new coat. "Heya Before! I do? Well I did I get a new coat since I got prompted to an intermediate," she answered as she gave a little twirl. "I want to thank you for your help. I don't think I would have been able to do it without your help on the capturing mission," Tori said as she gave Before a quick hug as thanks. Pulling away she had a sly grin on her face. "Well showing you my new coat was once of the reasons I called you out here, but the other reason is that I want to have a rematch!" Tori said. "This time no holding back," she added sternly. "As it was very nice of you to go easy on me last time since you are stronger but this time I want a fair fight, so lets do it,"

Before's grin grew wider and the tiniest bit lopsided when Tori confirmed that she had indeed been promoted. His own promotion had been bittersweet, what with Clarice acknowledging his effort only to end up transferred to a division with a certain female psycho that he still didn't trust completely. Or at all.
Vanna would have mentally chided him for being so selfish, except she wasn't all too perturbed whenever her partner focused on himself rather than on the fleshie he was with. Though she knew she had no reason to feel that way, old habits just die hard.
"Congratulations are totes in order!" Before clapped, but then he pouted, running a gloved hand over the thickening peach fuzz on his head. His hair was slowly growing back in, thankfully, and he missed having something to run his fingers through. "A rematch? And I totes resent being told I wasn't fighting fair last time!" ;n; he stage-sniffled, wiping away invisible tears with one hand just as the other gripped the now-summoned Vanna. "But you can be sure I ain't gonna hold back now!" 83

"Thanks! Your the first that I have told too," Tori said with a little bigger smile as she was happy that she was getting stronger and she at least hoped that she would be more useful than being worthless like what Caelius was always telling them. "Yep and I didn't say that you weren't fighting fair and sorry," Tori replied as she didn't want him to think bad of her but she had wanted to test herself even if he had been stronger than her before. Tori smile turned into a grin as she was getting excited on what her best friend just said. "Cool as this is going to be fun," the Lifer said as she summoned her own weapon. Watching her best friend for a little to if she could see an opening since his weapon was larger than her own. Not really seeing a good opening Tori decided to use her chain. Twirling her chain as she charge a little and letting it loose when she had gotten close enough to hitting Before. Hp: 50/50 Damage: 5 Charge: 1/3

The discovery that he'd been the first person she told about her promotion sent all sorts of warm and fuzzies exploding in his stomach. He was sure, however, that the sudden heat spreading across his face was a direct result of getting smacked around by Aklin's chain.
A likely story, Vanna muttered in the back of Before's head. The devil shield huffed and reminded her partner that he was in a spar and not sipping on coffee and having gellato with Tori. Which prompted the Misty to grip the handles of the large wheel and swing at the Lifer, broad-side first.

Impressed and a little surprised with Before attack as Tori backed up a little to recover even if Aklin had taken the brunt of that attack it still hurt a little to have been broad-sided by his weapon, but it just make Tori and Aklin more excited for this fight. "That was a good one!" she called as she took on a attack stance to get a better grip on her sword and chain. Running towards Before for another attack with her sword held low and once close enough she did an upward slash of her sword. Hp: 39/50 Damage: 7 Charge: 2/3

The Misty yelped as he felt the blade slice at his FEAR shield. While he wasn't bleeding, it was still distinctly uncomfortable for him. "Your aim's totes better! Glad to see all those missions and practice paid off!" He beamed, before following up with a slash of his own, the spikes on Vanna's wheel striking at Tori in a rising diagonal strike.

Tori winced some when she felt the slashing spikes of his weapon and grinned since the Misty's weapon was a very good weapon and effective one at that too. "Me too but I still need lots more practice and all of that since I have been slacking a little too. But you total pack a mean punch too," she replied smiling bigger. Taking a few steps back as she threw her chain and ball right towards Before. Hp: 30/50 Damage: 5 Charge: 3/3

The metal ball caught Before right in the face with an audible crunch of breaking cartilage. Oh s**t, oh ********, ow! A gloved hand immediately went to his face, pulling the appendage away to find blood staining the fabric. He gingerly touched the bridge of his nose, gurgling from the pain.
"I dink you brog bai dose," Before frowned, gritting his teeth as he shoved Vanna at the Lifer, broadside first.

Wincing some when Tori saw her ball hit Before in the face then seeing that he was bleeding. "I'm sorry about that. I didn't mean for that to happen," she said as she took his attack as she fell backwards a little and really deserved it. She was really sorry Before and would make it up. "You will have to get it looked at after wards," Tori said as she really didn't want his nose to be broken as that looked painful. Aklin reminded her that they were in a spar that later on she could worry more. Looking at her sword to see that Aklin was ready for a charged attack to which she obligated but something was different this time instead of thick water coming out of his gem a liquid dripped from the blade itself. Still a little confused over it but Tori charged at Before and slashing at him with it. Hp: 24/50 Damage: Before takes 2 damage for one round. Charge: 0/3 Battle cry y3/ Tanted Fang y2

Before would have snorted the blood out but he remembered reading that it was a first aid no-no so he refrained. He was going to have to do something about it though. Right now, he was busy fending off the next attack, "Is coo, we coo," he assured Tori, forcing a smile on his lips despite the pain. "You ain't da first do breag bai dose, dun dink you're gonna be da last." He raised his wheel in time to block in the incoming slash, the impact dislodging some of the liquid dripping from Aklin's blade and right onto his exposed arm. There was a faint hiss, then Before yelped at the sudden, sharp sting.
"Whad was dat?" he gasped, rubbing at his arm with a gloved hand. He'd never seen another trainee or hunter use that particular charge attack before, and he almost thought there was something wrong with Tori's weapon. But then Vanna rolled her eyes and assured him it wasn't what he thought it was and shouldn't he be more concerned about fighting back?
Obeying his partner's instructions, the Misty rounded on the Lifer and slammed the wheel against the tall woman's side.

"That is good as I still feel bad about it," Tori replied as she was going to help her best friend in helping him fix his broken nose after the spar. She was a little baffled with her charged attack as that wasn't like her other one. "I really don't know, it a new one on me," Tori replied.
Aklin said very pleased. Tori chuckled a little at her weapon. "Aklin tells me that he was poisonous and is again," she replied as now when he has shown how he had looked before since his patterning reminded her of a lion-fish. Hells bells Tori though as Before's attack connected to her side as it knocked the breath out of her and that he could hit hard. Once she caught her breath as she knew her shields were getting weaker, but that didn't matter as she was going to give it all her go. Getting a better grip on her sword as she charged at Before with her sword held high and missed her swing. Hp: 14/50 Damage: 0 Charge: 0/3 Battle cry y3/ Tanted Fang y2

Before canted his head in surprise. Poisonous? That was pretty cool! "Whad kinda creadure was Aklin before again?" he asked, curious and interested. He was sure Tori mentioned it before but the poison semeed to black his memory a bit.
Vanna suddenly felt very... upstaged by this new development in her partner's opponent's weapon. In the back of Before's mind, a face wrought from metal narrowed her eyes at the tall Lifer and the sword she held. With a mental nudge and an idle remark how it was only fair she would be allowed to release her charge, Before figured it couldn't hurt, right?
The runes carved on her surface flashed and the wheel seemed larger than usual.
HP: 31/50
Damage: N/A
Charge: 0/3; The Eye Y3; Battle Cry Y2
Effect: Target subtracts -3 instead of -6 to determine damage for the next 4 rounds.

"He is a Hippocampus," Tori said as she rubbed her eyes as she from the flash of light of Before's charged attack and knew that this spar was going to end very soon since she was starting to feel tired. Charging at Before and taking a swipe and missing all together that she had realized that she had been a little more blinded by that charged attack than she had realized. Tori sighted as she wasn't doing to well in this spar. Hp: 14/50 Damage: 0 Charge: 0/3 Battle cry y3/ Tanted Fang y2
