(this is from still inside his basket) It was warm here but it was also cramped. This disspleased him. He needed more space. Slowly at first he began to shift his weight about but there was no more space to be found. Soon he began to struggle for a moment he began to panic and then he felt the upper part move and something cold wash over him (wind) he also herd voices. With this he became still. The One voice was soft and gentle he wanted to hear more so he kept moveing. Then he began to try to make sounds as well. Though they didn't sound at all like the ones the gentle voice made.

"Oh, Oh! The basket moved! Did you see, Battle? Battle. Battle, stop fiddling with that blanket and lay it down on the ground beside him." Whisper said, head oriented on the level of her latest basket while one eye looked up at her older offspring. Yes, she'd had foals already, but each time it seemed she was actually more anxious during the time when the foal came out of the basket instead of during the actual birth. Unfolding a blanket with your teeth was easier said than done. Battle was wishing there was a two-legger around to assist, as he awkwardly laid the colorful blanket around the basket. A cushion for the new foal, his half-brother!, and his first gift. He looked over at his Mom, wondering again who the Father of this foal was. He'd already been snapped at once for prying, and considering she was on pins and needles, he wasn't going to risk asking again. He looked at the basket, which didn't seem to be moving all that much at the moment, though he thought he could see a crack in the lid. Enough to catch a glimpse of... orange?

Hearing more encouragement he began to really want out. He was tired of being alone. The basket tipped this way and that until it fell over and he tumbled out onto something soft. It was chilly out here but the voices sounded really excited. Down right happy actually. He liked that and turned his head this way and that to see if he could see the source of the voices, but there was nothing it looked just like the place he had just come from. He could still hear them but he could still not see anyone. He was still alone. Poor little guy was so confused. Quickly he became worried and sounds began to come out of his mouth and wetness came from him eyes. he didn't feel good anymore at all.
((poor little guys got his basket on his head and now he's crying))

Silent as the trees that marked the foals flanks, Vidorun appeared with almost alarming speed, gently lipping the basket off the foals head. Then he paused, smiling awkwardly at his mother and his brother. The stitches round his mouth pulled slightly, and by his side was his ever-present companion, Chain. Said Bear smiled at the foal and began to push Vidorun away from the little one. She was aware that he was quite creepy, and it was more then likely the foal might be upset. And then that in turn would upset Vid, and it had been hard enough to convince him to turn up in the first place.

Battle moved to gently (very gently) bump his brothers' shoulder with his own, mindful of his tree parts. Oh, was he glad to not be alone with him Mom anymore! And it had been ages since he's seen Vid. Ship padded over to give Chain a friendly headbutt, wisely choosing to stay quiet in the rather charged atmosphere.
With the basket off, and the little colt rescued, Battle finally got a look at his half-brother. He looked... surprisingly normal. No trees, or stitches. He did have two horns, and some scales, but he definitely also had Whisper's tail.
Whisper, in the meantime, had moved right over to her newest son, and was nuzzling the tears away from his cheeks, offering comfort.

Once the basket had been removed and his eyes adjusted to the brightness His lips turned into a large smile as he looked at all of them for the first time. He knew nothing of fear at this time, especially not of these warm figures who gathered around him even. though later on in life it would vaguely occur to him that his brothers especially we're far from friendly looking or normal in appearance. It was odd he felt soo connected to these larger beings being around them made him forget about it being cold and bright out here and just made him very happy. The nuzzles made him especially happy and he let out a happy squeak and nuzzled back. Though perhaps a little to over zealously as he fell over but that far from stopped him. He was attempting to stand in no time because he wanted to nuzzle them all he wanted to share this wonderful feeling with these wonderful beings.

Vidorun's face wasn't particularly built for soft expressions, but anyone who looked at the stallion as his brother emerged could call it nothing but soft. Living in a creepy old forest, he didn't see many other horses much, let alone foals. And something was incredibly endearing about the tiny, leggy foal in shades of orange - and he was related to him. A surge of brotherly affection consumed the emotionally awkward, speechless horse and he nuzzled the foal softly, making encouraging noises as he stumbled but eventually began to walk. He looked at Chain, then at his mother, making a series of movements which the bear translated.
"He'd like to know if you felt like this the first time and if feeling this attached is normal, the silly boy."
