A ripple is seen moving on a war torn road. It creates footprints and the sound of metal on metal is heard as the ripple moves over a sign that invited newcomers to the once glorious colony: New Gettysburg. The ripple becomes a figure of a woman as she ducts behind the ruins of a stone wall. She presses the button on her headset and says the distress that the commander did not want to hear, 'This is Kerrigan... There is a wave of Zerg advancing on this position. we need immediate evac!' She says as she looks toward the east as her rag tag team of 6 troops runs after her. She takes a moment to close her eyes and rest for a bit, cycling through the overflowing memories. The Trump Card Her first mission was to put the Psi Emitter, in the middle of the Confederate base and activate it. It lured millions of Zerg on the planet and her team was forced to retreat, they tore apart her main base and she was forced to retreat. The Big Push She came back to the capital ship and watched aboard Norad III as General Duke assaulted the Confederate station in orbit around Tarsonis. After learning that Duke had place Psi-Emitters on the planet she was shocked and speechless. The Zerg invaded the planet, and the Protoss came to execute them. Mengsk didn't like that fact. New Gettysburg He sent her to intercept the Protoss troops, much to Jim's displeasure. She fought the Protoss long and hard on the planet. Her orders were to eliminate the Protoss and let the Zerg run free. When she accomplished this mission she was awarded with the Zerg overrunning her base and men. She grabbed 6 troops and fled the base. They were low on supplies but they needed to move, fast or risk dying. She opened her eyes as one of the members of her team touches her shoulder. She sat up and did a quick head count of her men. The squad consisted of three Marines, two Firebats, and Ghost. They were low on ammo and fuel, along with basic morale. Food and fresh water was also low, they needed to get to the critical checkpoint, there they can have a higher chance of fending off the next wave of Zerg, and replenish their supplies as they move to the next checkpoint.

Realisim! Gotta love it! This means that this RP is very realistic you get shot in the head your dead. Your gun gets knocked away, you use a switchblade or your body to fight. If you're outta ammo, you're outta ammo. Feel free to add health detail into your posts! Like your character gets slashes in the side but he moved just enough so that the Zergling only scratched his armor and he shot the b*****d down with his Gauss Rifle. Or. The Hydralisk shot two spikes at me, one stabbed into my arm while I managed to just barely dodge the second one. Blood poured out of my thin armor as I shot at the b*****d with my Canister Rifle, hitting it right through the skull.

Mission Board Current Mission Mission 1: New Gettysburg New Gettysburg Mission 1A Kerrigan: We managed to make it to Tarsonis. So far we've been fighting Zerg after Zerg. Our primary mission is to get to the checkpoint in ten minutes before the oncoming Zerg wave gets us. We're close, but I doubt we can make it. AI: There are several debris scattered along the path to the checkpoint. If you can demolish them, it should inhibit the Zerg's movement, giving your forces more time to get to the checkpoint. Keep a close eye out. Kerrigan: Thank you computer. Alright men, lets use her suggestion, there's still 3 bridges standing on our way to the checkpoint. Let's knock them down. AI: Bridge counter activated. 0/3 Bridge's destroyed.

Adjutant Log Adjutant online. Good evening. I am here to help you understand the concepts of the StarCraft: New Gettysburg roleplay. I shall place down some of the main things you need to know. Mainly the three races, the units you may play as, and the current weapons as well. I will also explain how the locked sections work. Terran's You will be playing as the Terran race. Here is a short summary of your race. The terrans are a young technology species with psionic potential. The terrans of the Koprulu Sector descend from the survivors of a disastrous 23rd century colonization mission from Earth. Compared to the protoss and zerg, the terrans are highly factionalized and endure frequent wars amongst themselves in addition to the more recent conflicts with their alien neighbors. Nevertheless, terrans stand as one of the three dominant species of the galaxy. There are several more races that I shall also give you a summary about. Right now these are your main enemies. The Zerg The zerg are a terrifying and ruthless amalgamation of biologically advanced, arthropodal aliens. Dedicated to the pursuit of genetic perfection, the zerg relentlessly hunt down and assimilate advanced species across the galaxy, incorporating useful genetic code into their own. Alongside the protoss and terrans, the zerg stand as one of the three dominant species of the Milky Way and are universally feared, hated and hunted as such. The Swarm in itself makes up a third of the power of the Koprulu Sector. There is a third race known as the Protoss. They will be both allies and enemies on the field of battle make sure to always check first. They will attack if you raise your weapons to them. The Protoss The protoss are a sapient humanoid race native to Aiur. They are technologically advanced and rely on psionic abilities and cybernetics in battle. They are the primary opponents of the zerg. The protoss of Aiur are highly religious and follow a strict code known as the Khala. The protoss have mastered their psionic powers and engaged in devastating wars with the zerg. They have also had to deal with civil wars within their ranks. Alongside the zerg and terrans, the protoss stand as one of the three dominant species of the Milky Way. That is all you need to know about the many races. Now to detail you in the units you will be playing as. Terran Marine Marines compose the bulk of most terran front-line forces, ranging from officially government-sanctioned units and local militias to renegades and mercenaries. Koprulu Sector marines are generally equipped with powered armor suits and rapid-fire C-14 rifles. The suit provides full life-support and NBC protection, allowing marines to deploy into environments that would otherwise be inimical to human life. Despite such material investment into each marine, they tend to have extremely short combat lives. To improve their effectiveness and odds of survival, many marines make heavy use of stimpacks. Terran Ghost Ghosts were chosen from psychically-gifted individuals who were quarantined by the Terran Confederacy and trained from infancy to channel their psionic energies to augment their natural physical strength and endurance. Conscripts who successfully completed the Ghost Program's rigorous training and augmentations then served as commandos and assassins. Ghosts are trained in target shooting, close-quarters combat (martial arts and possibly other techniques) and vehicular expertise. Ghosts are also trained to move quickly and are desensitized to combat; an example would be Sarah Kerrigan's training, who had a gun placed to her head by a guard and was ordered to kill the guard before he killed her. Kerrigan was subjected to this training at age twelve. Ghosts were frequently tasked with locating targets and provide targeting for tactical nuclear strikes. Their reconnaissance role was aided by cybernetic enhancements to their eyes. Ghosts have short life expectancies. Terran Firebat Firebats are "armored assault troopers". Firebats are often attached to provide support for marine squads. They are typically armed with dual arm-mounted flame throwers and wear heat-resistant fireproof armor similar to those used by marines, although heavier. During the Guild Wars, a few firebats wore experimental CMC-230 XF armor, equipped with jet-packs. The armor had reliability issues, however, and so was quickly phased out. During the Great War, Confederate firebats were equipped with wrist mounted Perdition flamethrowers and CMC-660 combat suits. The vulnerable flame tanks are protected by containment fields. United Earth Directorate firebats were armed with the C-140 "Epyon" Plasma Incinerator Cannon. As with marines, many firebats are recruited or conscripted from "culturally challenged" persons. Such individuals undergo "neural resocialization" and receive aggression inhibitor implants as part of their training. Firebats are almost exclusively composed of resocialized criminals and psychotic pyromaniacs. Still, volunteers are not unheard of: in the Confederate Marine Corps, an individual had to have a PEB (Preferred Experience Base) of at least three months combat experience to become a firebat. Your commanding officer is Sarah Kerrigan. Here is a simple summary of her and her personality. Sarah Kerrigan Sarah Louise Kerrigan was a psychic terran female. She began her career as a Confederate ghost and later became the second-in-command of the Sons of Korhal. Due to ghost conditioning, Kerrigan was an introvert from a young age. How she could have known about such weapons, let alone their aesthetic effects is an apparent discrepancy. and arguably remained aloof when freed from Confederate control. However, she never fully embraced the darker aspects of her nature. Your current location is Tarsonis, leaving the remains of New Gettysburg. New Gettysburg New Gettysburg was caught in the fall of Tarsonis. The zerg descended on the planet in the wake of the active psi-emitters and were followed by protoss. Arcturus Mengsk, of the Sons of Korhal, did not want the protoss to distract the zerg from the destruction of the Terran Confederacy. Mengsk ordered a strike force, led by Sarah Kerrigan, to deploy to New Gettysburg and delay the protoss advance force. With the aid of that interference the zerg gained the upper hand. Confederate, Sons of Korhal, and protoss troops were forced to withdraw. The situation was so chaotic that terran troops banded together to survive regardless of political affiliation. Dropships commandeered by Jim Raynor and Michael Liberty from the withdrawing Sons of Korhal fleet evacuated some of the terrans to the battlecruiser Thunder Child. By the end of the battle, New Gettysburg had been reduced to a wreck. Its skyscrapers had fallen, vehicles and bodies littered the streets, adjacent farmland had been set ablaze and even the surface of its once majestic lake had been turned to glass by the heat of protoss landing craft. By the time the zerg departed from the world, scant few individuals remained within the city, most having given in to madness or fear. Arcturus Mengsk is your Commander. He commands the entire Sons of Korhal. Much can be told about him for now I will give you a brief summary. Arcturus Mengsk Arcturus Mengsk is a terran from Korhal IV. He led the Sons of Korhal and orchestrated the downfall of the Terran Confederacy during the Great War. Mengsk ruled the Terran Dominion, the Confederacy's successor, as Emperor Arcturus Mengsk I.
