She had never done this before; in fact, this would be her first time... Which might explain why she felt both excited and nervous as she walked through the main gate of the school.
She had initially went to the Maul to get herself something else, but ended up in a shop that was having a sale on nail products. Unable to resist temptation, she ended up getting a lot of stuff - nail files, nail polish of every color, nail polish removal, nail art stickers, and a nail dryer - which had been packed neatly and placed into a paper bag that she was currently holding in her hand. While she would normally ask Junko to be her guinea pig, she was aware that the ghoul had been busy with a lot of Student Council things lately, and Lizzy did not want to take up her already precious time.
Which was why she kept looking around as she made her way back to the dorms, trying to find someone who looked friendly enough to approach... And possibly ask if they would be willing to have their nails done by her, even if she was new to this.

She had done this many times before; in fact, she had lost count of how many times she'd done this, which would explain why her gait was so nonchalant as she walked out of the dorms, making her way to the cafeteria to hang Bloodbucks posters around the premises.
She'd chipped her nails the other day while working, and had her hands wrapped in cute mittens. She wore them mostly for the cute factor, but also to hide her nasty nails. Even if she wasn't on the prowl for a boil, she still wanted to look nice. She had to remove the mittens to nail her posters up, though, which proved quite inconvenient and irritating. After the third poster, she gave up and tucked the mittens inside her pockets, while stuffing her hands inside her coat.
Done with poster duty, she began to trek back to the dorms, requiring her to pass by the school gate. Distracted by thoughts of how bad her nails were, she completely missed the fact that there was a pink haired spider demon in her path. She continued her brisk pace, and soon the ghouls would find themselves face to face on the floor. Oops.

Lizzy squeaked in surprise as someone collided into; as she fell, face first, her paper bag was tossed into the air, and went soaring to the grass beside the path. Disoriented, she laid on the ground for a few seconds, trying to make sense of what just happened, before somehow managing to get up. With a winced, she rubbed her sore face, especially her nose - which she was glad was not broken, since she had hit the ground pretty hard.
"Uh, are you alright...?" One hand still massaging her nose, she made her way to the person who had ran into her, offering the ghoul her free hand; her purchases from the Maul was forgotten for the time being.

"Urghhhhhh...." Slowly, the ghost ghoul's face came off the floor, fortunately without bruise, and met pale dainty hand that was offered. Blinking slowly, silver eyes looked up to find a concerned pair of magenta orbs, and a hand rubbing its owners nose.
Oh no! Did she do that? Ugh, such a clutz.
Taking the hand, she gave the ghoul a very sad face; complete with puppy dog eyes and a lip quiver. I'm...I'm fine. Are you? I'm really sorry..."
Way to go, Genevieve, way to go.

"O-oh! No! It's fine, really! See, I'm alright!" She nodded, removing her hand from her nose - which was actually a little red from hitting the floor, but otherwise intact - as she pulled the ghoul off the ground, "Nothing's bleeding or anything! No worries, we're both fine, after all- Oh!"
She suddenly remembered that she was supposed to be carrying something, and that something was missing.
Looking around, she heaved a sigh of relief when she spotted the paper bag laying on the grass. Jogging over, she picked it up, peering at the contents with a worried expression. She shifted thought the items, and smiled when everything seemed to be intact. Making her way back to the ghoul, she gave her a smile, "Oh! I'm Lizzy, by the way!"

Fears and anxiety quelled by the proof that she hadn't hurt the other ghoul, Gene put half of a smile on. She rubbed her own nose in an unconscious mirroring reaction, happy to find her own face, as the demoness had pointed out, was intact.
"Genevieve - call me Gene, though." She returned the smile, and held out her hand thus revealing her chipped and worn nails. "Um, did I break anything? I can replace it if you need me to."

"It's nice to meet you Gene!" She replied, taking her hand and offering her a firm shake; while some students were no doubt still wary about shaking hands with a demon, she was glad that a majority of the students were rather open, and accepting. As she was about to release her hand, however, she paused, holding it up and inspecting her nails, "Ohhhhhh. Ohhhhh."
She looked up, hesitating for a moment before her expression turned sheepish, "You didn't beak anything, but... I know this must sound like a really, really weird request, but-" She held up the bag, her cheeks turning pink, "I just bought a couple of manicure supplies, and I was wondering if I could try them on you? I've never done it before though, so I understand if you would rather I not do it!"

"Oh, I'd love to." She knew her nails needed it, and why not help someone out? It'd make a good impression, get her a new friend possibly. She needed a good gal pal that could actually understand what she was saying. Danny was sweet and she loved her, but...well, she got tired of babysitting.
"You can only get better by practicing, and Jack knows my nails are horrid. Lead the way." She gave Lizzy a smile, and excitedly stood by her side, waiting for the Demoness to begin their trek.
She was getting her nails did.

"Really? I mean... Really?" Lizzy's face lit up, and she practically beamed, even sparkling a little as she hooked her arm with Gene's, letting out a cheer as she led her towards the demon dorms, "I'll try my best! Maybe I'll use the comet nail polish... It's amazing what they can come up with, based on minipet colors alone."
It didn't take very long to reach her room, and she happily sat Gene down on a couch by the coffee table in a small room linked to her bedroom. Setting her supplies down on the table, she picked out the tools she was going to use, "Let's see... Hm... Ah!" With the nail clipper, she begun trimming Gene's nails and cuticles, begin as gentle as she possibly could, "So, were you doing anything before we, uh, ran into each other?" Quite literally too.
Idle chatter was good for passing time.

"Oh...I do like Comet colors..." The Doppelganger smiled as she was led off to the dorms, and then into the Demon's room. In hindsight, she probably shouldn't have shaken the ghoul's hand; but Lizzy didn't seem like the type of Demon to hold things like that over someone's head.
She really liked Lizzy's room, especially the coffee table. She needed one; it was official. When Lizzy began to cut her nails, Gene felt immediately felt a little more comfortable around the ghoul. She might have been new to this, but she was pretty good.
"Oh! I was putting up some fliers for Bloodbucks - I work there. We've got a special going on right now, actually: add any pastry to any flappucinno for only 2 seeds. I really like vanilla with a scream cheese croissant.." And she was being a walking, talking advertisement again. Whoops. Time to topic change.
"Um, do you work anywhere?"

"Not a big fan of coffee, but I do enjoy a good pastry... I know someone who might be interested in getting a cup of frappucinno though. Maybe he could get the drink and leave me the pastry," Lizzy giggled; whenever coffee was brought up, she could only really think of one person, "I wouldn't call it working, but I do help out at the family boutique once in a while... It's been a long time though, since I had been busy with school."
Or rather, the things happening in school.
"Isn't it tough to work and study at the same time?" She asked out of curiosity, examining Gene's nails again; after trimming and filing, they looked so much more presentable. Happy with her work so far, she went on to laying down the base layer on the nails, in order to protect them.

"It is; but it's completely worth it. I see new faces all the time, the coffee addicts of the school know me pretty well, and I love coffee, so it all works out. Plus, since I don't actually need to sleep, I can do all my studying late at night." The free pound of coffee beans she received each week wasn't too shabby, either.
"Boutique? Do you design clothes, then?" It seemed there were a few students on campus who made their own clothes nowadays; it was a good hobby to have, she supposed.
"Oh, the look great already!" Gene was stunned by how quickly Lizzy was making her hands pretty. She'd need to show her gratitude somehow....

"Ohh, I see! Does sleeping actually have any benefits for ghosts?" Lizzy couldn't help asking out of curiosity, looking up from Gene's nails to give her neck and eyes a break.
"You should create a club. Call it Coffee Addicts Not-So-Anonymous," Lizzy laughed as she dipped the brush back into the little pot of base coat, obviously finding her own comment funny even if it really wasn't that funny, "Do you know Mot then? I... Wouldn't call him an addict-" Even if he was so obviously one, "-But he loves coffee!"
At the compliment, she blushed and smiled at the ghoul, feeling rather proud of herself, "Thank you!"

"No, not really. I mean, we do get tired, but that's just if we haven't replenished our Fear lately. I sleep just so I'm not bored while replenishing, if that makes sense?" That, and she wanted to fit in with the rest of the student population. She hated floating around when no one was awake, the school halls were quite lonely when that happened.
Gene almost threw her hands up laughing when Lizzy mentioned Mot. "Honey, Mot is the biggest addict I know. He had to escape his ghoulfriend to get some coffee, because apparently she says no to it. I can see why, though. He gets all sorts of jitters. Kind of adorable, really." If Lizzy looked, she'd find Gene's cheeks had a darker blue tint to them as she rambled about the cowboil.
"So, Lizzy, do you have a boilfriend?"

"Ohh, I see!" Lizzy nodded, smiling, glad to have learnt something new while making a new friend, "That does make sense!"
It was good that Gene didn't throw her hands up. That wouldn't have ended very well at all.
"He really is!" She replied with a giggle, nodding in agreement to both comments regarding Mot; although she did not anymore coffee addicts, she was sure that the cowboil would remain on the top of the list even if she did... And Gene just confirmed it! She's the coffee expert here, so her words must be valid!
"I do," Was her answer, and she appeared almost bashful for a moment as she set the nail polish down in order to grab her eyephone. The button was pressed, and as the screen lit up to show a phone of herself and Mac, Lizzy tilted it towards the ghost, "He's a reaper by the name of Mac."
