While the men were at play, Rin decided... well. To have a bit of quality time with her best friend.
This was why she left Sasha a note requesting her attendance that evening in the kitchen, a convenient time of course to not conflict with her important duties.
While waiting she set up everything in preparation on one of the kitchen counters. Various sliced meats, veggies, sauces, unknowns and a LOT of bread. It was possible before this was through they were going to make enough to feed everyone for a week.

Hair back, jacket folded over her arm, sleeves rolled up. Sasha made her way into the kitchen looking very prepared to tackle the task at hand.
Sasha wasn't quite sure what the task at hand was going to be, but she was looking forward to spending time with Rin. Jerry was gone away at some sort of party for men, so this bit of quality time couldn't have come at a better moment.
"Rin, hi!"
Sasha drew up close, eyes wide at the sight of all of the things.
All. Of. The. Things.
"Wow, what.. where did you find all this stuff!"

Rin watched Sasha enter quietly as a smile danced across her features. She made it, even slightly early.
It was a relief of sorts. With so many people gone away she had found herself alone with her thoughts again - never a wise venture she'd found. Sasha was a fond distraction, not quite the distraction she desired right now... but distraction all the same.
She offered the woman a quick wave, "Hi Goldy~". There was a slight pause as Rin eyed her up and down.
"You look like you're ready to kick a**." there was a strong hint of amusement in her tone.
Then Sasha was suddenly close and asking things.
She decided to breathe through her mouth before answering, "I've been hiding some of it."
She chuckled softly, "But most I nicked fresh from the fridge."
She smiled as her brows raised high, "Ready to make some sandwiches?"

Sasha chuckled at the nickname, black brows arcing.
"I don't know about kicking.. well, I'm just ready to make some sandwiches, from the looks of it!"
Sasha grinned. Her thoughts were whirling. She wished that she didn't know how Rin felt about her, honestly; Sasha could have used some womanly advice, but ... well, it would only make things awkward, Sasha was sure of it.
"Enlighten me, Bean!"

"Alright! But first~ you have to promise me something." she leaned in, her voice a soft whisper, "These are secret family recipes~ they aren't for just anyone."
She backed off a bit to grab a pair of bread slices and laid them out side by side for Sasha to see.

A very serious expression settled over Sasha's face.
"I can.." Sasha cleared her throat and leaned in - not too close, though, just.. close enough so that her soft whisper could be heard, "I can keep secrets."
Her mouth twitched in a smile.

"Remember the chest burstinnng~" Rin teased as she replicated a certain chest exploding gesture before curling a finger to call her over to the counter.
"You can't share them either though." she smiled sadly. It would break her heart if Sasha wooed a certain someone else with her cooking.
"This is just for you and me, okay?"

"I remember the chest bursting," Sasha grinned, bracing her elbows on the countertop as she leaned against it.
"And.. I can't share them?"
Sasha pursed her lips as she glanced down at her hands.
"Rin, I mean.. I won't share them if it um. Means that much to you."

"Maybe one day~" Rin chuckled, "but right now? It's just your and my little secret okay?"
She offered Sasha a fleeting wink before she drew a deeeep breath, "Okay! So. This first sandwich I call the Caesar salad."
She grinned as she slid Sasha one of the slices of bread, "Start with bread..."

Sasha picked at the crust of the bread briefly, chewing on the inside of her lip before she finally blurted, "I don't want t-things to be weird. Awkward."
Tapping her fingers on the counter, she lifted her gaze to Rin.
"I ah.. you know?"

Cleared her throat again.

Sasha gave a sheepish laugh, cheeks pinking up.

Rin shook her head before leaving her bread to move a little closer, facing Sasha as she smiled.
"It's not awkward unless you make it awkward~"
She heaved a light sigh before side glancing at Sasha's own bread slice, "I'm not like... going to do anything if that's what you're afraid of?"
"You're my best friend Sasha, I wouldn't betray you like that."

"I don't want to make things awkward. I just feel like.. I don't have anyone I can talk to, you know? Like.. about. Jerry. But.. ah, that's not your problem. It's.. I just .. if I say something that upsets you, or um."
Sasha glanced up at Rin.
"You'll tell me, right? I mean, I don't want to.."
Her cheeks turned brighter.
"Aah, so the ah, the Caesar salad?"

Rin chuckled boisterously before attempting to hook arms with Sasha, "It could wait, come come~"
If she succeeded she promptly led Sasha over to a corner of the kitchen with a pair of stools and she released her to take a seat.
"You can still talk to me... nothing has changed - I'm just more honest and open with how I feel now is all?"
She offered a sad smile, she had a feeling this meant Sasha and Jerry may have... done something already, "I'd tell you though."
