After traveling for a few days they reached Orebrough city. They were shortly greeted by Roark. "Hello, you must be the Excavation Team, I have the site set up for you guys, you just need to head down into the mine and head east its a direct path to the underground."

Kotsuko's mind began to wander, it seemed so tedious just to find fossils, but at the same time he guessed it was important. Then he started to think of the group of oddly garbed people, he wondered if they were near and started looking around.

"....me" Was some one talking to him?

"name" Maybe it was everyone checking in, he should probably start to pay attention

"Sir, are you listening? I've asked for your name about 5 times now?" Roark said looking at him with mild frustration.

"OH! Uh sorry! I'm Kotsuko."

'Crap, i shoulda thought of a different name to use' He thought to himself as Roark scribbled down his name. After that awkward encounter his mind began to wander again. 'That one girl was really cute, even tho she seemed really mean, i pray i don't run into her, i mean i don't see any of them, maybe they tailed another group.'

"Hey watch where your going!" Kotsuko had bumped into one of the group.

"Ah! Sorry, I was just thinking.... a little to much."

"Heh, dont worry, i know were all looking to get a nice haul from out of here."

"Uh, yeah, lookin for a good haul...heh" It felt akward to talk like that. Now that he thought of it the only think he ever felt confident in was pokemon battles. Everything else he always was the akward one, its why he never had many friends to begin with.

"Yes, yes! Here we are. Lucky for you all i brought some picks, so have at it! What ever you find is yours!"

Kotsuko picked up a pick axe and started to walk away as everyone else started to hungrily take the closest wall they could hit. "My word dear chap! Dont go off to far, we wont be able to save you if you go to far."

"oh, I-I'll be fine"

He walked for a few feet more and felt something from one section of the wall. "Here." Kotsuko lifted his pick axe and began hitting the wall. After a few minutes of chipping away the wall he found something that looked a little tougher than the standard stone. After breaking away the rock around it Kotsuko pulled it out. He found it, a fossil, it had to be. It didnt look like any normal rock so it had to be a fossil. Holding tightly to his possible fossil he was greeted by the two large guys in weird costumes he saw before. "Aye look at dis, da kid found us something."

"Heh, yeah, got us a fossil now. She wont yell at us again."

"Yo, kid.."

"Im 20." Kotsuko muttered

"Wut ya say?"

"Heh, dont matter, just hand us the fossil and you get to walk away not getting hurt by our pokemon."

That was it. A flash in his eyes and he took a more defiant stance. Threatening with pokemon? They had to be trainers after all.

"Oooo look at dis guy, lookin all tough now, thinking he's a pokemon trainer."

"Hehe, yeah i dont see any pokeballs on him, he's probably just tryin to scare..."

"TAKE DOWN!" Kotsuko shouted as his Beldum popped out of the pokeball he had hidden in his jacket.

His Beldum charged right into the guy who was just talking, knocking him down.

"Crap! Mythos! You ok?"
"Shadap Portos! He aint suppose to know our names!
"You IDIOT! You just said my name!"
"Ah, 'ta hell with it, just help me! I'm sure he cant handle two pokemon at once! Since he only got dat beldum!" Mythos said as he slowly got up.
"Ahh, fine, fine! Show time Venonat!"
"Get out there Koffing! Lets take out that Beldum!"

"Venonat! Poisin Power!"
"Koffing! Smog!"

Venonat started shaking and Koffing blew out smog on Beldum. Beldum just floated there staring, unaffected by the poisin attacks.

"Are you kidding me? Do you not know typing? Everyone knows steel types are unaffected by poisin! Reaver! Take Down! Aim for that Venonat!" The beldum went rocketing into the Venonat as soon as the order was issued. Venonat, flopped backwards and gingerly stood back up looking exhausted already.

"FINE! Venonat! Leechlife!" Venonat quickly latched on and began draining Reavers health. "Ha! Take that and your typing!" Mythos chuckled as Reaver was having a hard time staying afloat with the venonat on him.

"Mizu! Your up! Bubble! Get that Venonat off Reaver!" A piplup came out with a prideful chirp and spewed out bubbles knocking Venonat off.

"Ahh crap dis kid DOES have more then one pokemon. Koffing go get that little penguin with a tackle!" Koffing replied with a quick tackle into Mizu knocking him back.

"Fall back! Both of you!" Kotsuko shouted to his pokemon.

"Oi? He given up already? Well that was easy."
"Yeah Heheh, he must realize we're better than him, so he's gonna give us that fossil, hehe."

Ignoring the idiotic banter Kotsuko started to whisper to his pokemon. "Alright guys i need you to team up more then ever or we wont break through these guys. Time for 'Launcher." Mizu and Reaver both nodded. "Were not done yet!" He continued as he faced his two opponets. "Go Mizu! Reaver!"
Mizu hopped on top of Reaver and Reaver rocketed off. "Aim for his Koffing!"

"Ah crap he's gonna use both his pokemon on Koffing! Quick! Dodge it buddy!" But before Koffing to move out of the way Beldum quickly changed directions towards the unaware venonat and Mizu keep flying towards Koffing, launching a volly of bubbles. Venonat was slammed into the wall and Koffing was hit with bubbles and Mizu colliding into it, they both collided into Portos and he fell over. Mizu hopped up standing tall on the pile of Koffing and Potos with a proud chirp.

"heh...... Crap were so beat, what are we gonna tell the boss, she's gonna eat us alive! Portos! Get up! Were in big trouble!"

"Ugh.....can...i.......can i get......waffles?" Portos weakly asked before passing out as Mizu hopped off the two and headed towards Kotsuko.

"Oh man, oh man, oh man, she's gonna snap us like a twig."

"Damn right I will!!" An angry voice said from behind Kotsuko. Kotsuko's heart sank almost immediatly, his tough form fell and he reverted back to his scared akward self. 'Oh crap, its her, oh crap that cute girl, oh god!' Nearly Paralized with fear thats the only thought that shot through his mind.

"How the hell does two blithering idiots loose to this mouse!" The woman of the group walked right by Kotsuko and hit Mythos on the head.

"But, but but, Mistress Elezia, he's not what he appears to be!" Mythos said rubbing the spot where Elezia had hit him. Elezia shot a look at Kotsuko and he quickly looked down on the ground and immediatly thought. 'Damnit, why did she have to show! God she's looking right at me! Crap i hate when this happens, oh man, oh god!'

"This guy? God! Your worse then i could immagine, i swear i cant take you dolts anywhere without you screwing up! Fine! Ill take him on a wipe him out! He's just got that Piplup and Beldum right?" Elezia said reaching for her Pokeballs
"Y-yes mistress!"

"Pft, this should be easy enough for Grinder and Rambi." Elizia looked at Kotsuko again and she Smirked. "Look kid you can chill, i wont double battle you like these two dolts. True strength comes form single battles! GO GRINDER! SHOW HIM WHAT I MEAN!" Out form her pokeball came out a Klink.

"M-m-m-mizu, r-r-r-return." Kotsuko fumbled to recall his Piplup while clutching the fossil close to him while still looking down. The fire he normally had was doused almost instantaneously. To win this match he knew he had to try but something inside him was yanking him down to hard. 'She's so damn cute with that yellow hair and....and those red lips.....and that black band holding back her hair..... DAMNIT! Come on focus! Or your gonna...."

"Grinder! Geargrind!" As Kotsuko was battling himself Grinder shot over to Reaver and locked him into its gears and began grinding on him scratching up and trying to crush Reaver. "Oh come on kid, im going easy on you and your still not gonna issue orders? How on EARTH did you even thrash Mythos and Portos.

'Damnit, damnit, why cant i just say "take down" i mean thats all reaver knows, thats all he can ever know until he evolves, i mean its one simple attack, i just need to look up and....' As Kotsuko looked up he saw Elizia give a smirk and he quickly looked back down again. '...no, no, i cant look, she's to damn cute, i just need to try and say it without looking. "T-t-t-ta-ta-ta-ta........TACKLE!!" Reaver looked at Kotsuko confused as Elizia called out her next Order "THUNDER SHOCK!" a bolt of electricity hit Reaver and it cried out from shock. "Really now? I mean, that thing only knows one move, im no expert but i know it doesn't know tackle." Eliza said mockingly "I dont even know if its worth having a proper battle with you, when i could easily have Grinder shock you. In fact, i think i will! Grinder! Thundershock the kid!" A bolt of Electricity blasted out and headed straight towards Kotsuko.

'Crap, this isnt good, i still cant look!'

'I cant even move!'

'why? why? why?'

'........why cant i?'

"BEEEEELLLLLL!!!!!" Reaver had thrown itself into the bolt of electricity harming it further.

"REAVER!" Kotsuko shouted out reaching out for him, dropping the fossil he was clutching. Reaver looked at him with a smile in its eye. "Reaver im sorry! My stupid fear took over. I shouldn't have left you like that! Now your in no condition to fight. Im so sorry pal."

"As touching as this is, can you please hurry this up so i can collect that fossil you have and i can go terrorize the rest of your little group before they pack up and leave?"

Kotsuko looked up slowly, he could feel him self blushing looking at Elizia but he had to stop her and watching her hurt Reaver, and threatening his life gave him a new fire, a different one than the one he normally gets from pokemon battles. "Mizu, your up."

Elizia gave a laugh. "Really? Grinder is capable of using electric attacks, ill fry your little penguin."

"Not this time, Mizu! Bubble!" Mizu spewed out bubbles, but Grinder dodged them. "Again!" More bubbles, but the same result.

"Really? Your little penguin cant even aim properly! This is a sad joke! Grinder Charge! I want to drop this thing in one hit!." Elizia said with a smirk.

"Bubble again!" More bubbles floated out but missed again.

"Too bad, so sad, you're kinda cute and all but you didnt stand a chance against me. Go! Thundersh... wait.....why are the bubbles still around, they missed!"

"Its a trick Mizu and I came up with when we would face anything that used electric moves."

"Psh, cheep palor tricks wont work on me! GO! THUNDERSHOCK!" Grinder let out a bolt of electricity but it was caught by one of the bubbles. "What the?!?! THUNDER SHOCK AGAIN!" Another bubble caught the bolt. "AGAIN! AGAIN! AGAIN! WHY WONT IT HIT YOU!!!" Elizia kept calling out till all the bubbles were used up. "Ha! Now your bubble trick is done!" Elizia said with a mad look in her eyes and a creepy smile. "ONE MORE THUNDERSHOCK ITS OVER!"

"Mizu, pop a bubble." Mizu spit out one bubble while Grinder charged to unleash one more Thundershock. The bubble drifted up and bumped into one of the electric charged bubbles, forcing it to pop. "GET DOWN!" Kotsuko shouted as all the bubbles began popping and electrity went wild chaining popping more bubbles until it blasted into Grinder. The resulting explosions knocked everyone down and Grinder fell to the ground slowly shifting. Kotsuko and Mizu slowly got up, "Mizu you ok?" Mizu gave an assuring chirp as they looked over to where Elizia and he goons were. "They look ok." Noticing them all still on the ground, Elizia popped up with a crazy look on her face.

"BEATEN? WITH THAT!??! OH, OH, OH NO, NOT TODAY." She slowly got up swaying a left and right a little. "RAMBI!! TIME TO SHOW THEM PAIN!" She tossed out her pokeball and a Ryhorn popped out stomping the ground and preparing a charge.

"Mizu, get ready, she looks to be on her last leg." Mizu nodded and stood his ground.
