Murasame walked with his head high and looked around himself, a fairly open area, no wind cast upon his face, almost stale. It was a fine day, least, as fine as it could be until his mate wanted for something he did not have upon his self. He loved her though, so much so he wondered if she would ever truly understand. But he held a facade, thick and bearing pride like that of his spirited heart, but the softer side of his soul lingered as well, that influenced by his mother.

He could barely remember his family, sometime, though when he looked into a pool of water, he saw his reflection, and it it, saw them.

"What do you see today?" Tearh asked, almost shoving straight into Murasame. She grinned, swaying her tail, moving to stride next to him and rub her head beneath his, "You look as if to see beyond the depth of it, look," she splashed a paw within, touching the small pebbles on the bottom, "not so deep, so you can halt your sight for now."

She heard him sigh and she shook her head, "You dream of things passed, we are here, we are happy, no? Besides," she asked, blue eyes looking to his vibrant hues, "you could gaze at me instead?"

Ahadi always enjoyed knowing when Mantis clan was close, because he had a friend in the Mantis clan he was always happy to drop in on. So when he'd heard they set up camp nearby from Wolf Clan's camp, he'd happily set out to visit. Wolf Clan had just stopped, while Mantis had been around for a while, so he best hurry before they moved along!

Well, to be honest, Ahadi was awful at hurrying. Really, he was. Hopeless, even. He continued on at a leisurely pace, his blue eyes distractedly looking at the world around, but not really seeing it. He was a bit of a daydreamer, after all.

So he didn't quite realize when he'd wandered a bit close to the couple. Not close enough to actually bump into them, or startle them, but close enough to warrant a greeting, lest he be rude. Particularly because they were Mantis clan members. It was funny how you always tried to be more polite to people you knew less. "Oh, hi." At least he didn't give off any awkward vibes. It was hard to make Ahadi feel silly, he was just a lion who was very comfortable. He had no reason not to be!

Murasame went to answer Tearh with some respute but was stopped by seeing a golden ...something, coming into view. He quirked a brow, noting the male he did not know and motioned to Tearh who turned her head as well. The male seemed all right enough, respectful, at least, to say hello. Perhaps he was having some issue with his woman and had his mind elsewhere as well. Murasame could not blame him for that. But that gold...Murasame rememebred it.

"Hello yourself," he said with a chuckle, "get a bit distracted, huh?"

"Don't pick on him!" Tearh said swatting at Murasame's shoulder, ears back. "Behave yourself!" and when Murasame turned his nose at Tearh, she stuck her tongue out at him. It was a game they played, you could say, but the love between the two was there. Anyone would be able to see it if around them long enough.

"Who are you? I'm Tearh, this, is Murasame, pleasure to meet you..." she stopped, not knowing how to continue. She looked to Murasame who nodded at her. She had noticed the gold too.

Ahadi did not feel like he'd been mocked, and chuckled lightly. "It's quite alright! Yeah, it happens. Quite often, actually." He smiled, he didn't quite mind being known as a bit of an airhead. It was fine. He was also completely oblivious to the effect his fur may be having on the pair.

"The pleasure is all mine. My name is Ahadi." He might as well make a couple more friends, if the pair of them would have him. Ahadi was not above some idle chit chat, perhaps because he thought it might not even exist.

"No worries or offense my friend," Murasame said while leaning close and nudging his shoulder, "just a friendly jest is all," and he pulled back and away. Ahadi, that sounded familiar too. Murasame looked over the male, he looked just like those of the royal line, least, royal when he and Tearh were still within the Pridelands. He wondered if it had changed at all since then. It had been quite a while, his two children, they would have to know.

The only thing that stuck out was the white, a bit unnatural, but surely, there had to be some historicla, family genealogy dating back to the Pridelands, so he looked to Tearh who was almost shaking from anticipation and excitement,

"Your from the Pridelands aren't you?!" she said taking a step forward, nearly touching her nose to Ahadi's, looking him straight in the eyes, "I mean, your fur and the color and the markings except for the white it all makes sense you look like one from the Pridelands he thinks so too he can tell-" Tearh said and while resting her tone on the 'l' in the word tell, realized, that she might be scaring him...

"I'm so sorry!" she said taking a step back, leaning on Murasame, "I'm Tearh, and this is Murasame, we came from the Pridelands too...so you...you look familiar."

"None taken." He grinned, and realized he couldn't quite recall ever being offended about anything. Perhaps he was too easy going, but if being offended felt bad... really, who would want to be?

Tearh's sudden excitement did come as a surprise, and he blinked at her dumbly at first. She talked quickly, and re-introduced herself and Murasama, and it was even a little funny. He found lots of things funny, though. "Yes, I am! No need to apologize, haha. Yes, I'm from the pridelands. My mother is Safuma, and my father Ezekiel. Kamilika was my grandmother, if that helps." He didn't presume they had ever met his parents, pridelands being such a large, busy pride, and all. "Yes, us pridelanders, many of us do look alike! It's kind of funny. I guess a lot of us ended up here, too! I have a friend in mantis clan, also a pridelander. And surely there are a few more about."

"That's so funny and strange but lovely! I wonder who else has come? Both Murasame and I had fairly large families, loved them very much, but needed to head out on our own and found our way here. It's lovely, the culture so interesting, fitting for us. Nice to see a familiar face, know that we were not the only ones to journey from the vast green plains of the Pridelands."

She looked to Murasame who appeared taken aback by her sudden burst of energy. But she did have that in her, and a fire like none he had ever seen before. He suspected she gained that from her mother, and Tearh often said so. She loved her mother dearly, missed her, and wondered how she was fairing back home.

"It is nice to know others are here, yes, but I'm curious to know who, now. As you can see, Tearh and I don't truly have the typical pridelander colors, so it'd be interesting to know who else lurked within the clans. Would be nice to come together sometime, perhaps," he stated with a genuine smile.

At speaking there was another in mantis, Murasame shifted his ears. They were within mantis but knew none of the pridelands, strange, he might have to investigate if allowed.

He found her energy quite pleasant, because Ahadi could always appreciate a good, energetic individual. They made thins fun! "I'm afraid I don't know all whohave come, but I must have seen a few more about." He said with a small nod.

"Yes! I love the pridelands very much, but I was, and still am, a very curious lion. I came here and I simply could not leave." Pridelands would always be 'home', in a way. In memory. He had grown up there, playing under pride rock, in the grass, by the watering hole, and his childhood would always be remembered fondly. He would never regret his time spent there. But these lands were a different kind of home entirely.

"Ah, yes, well. Ma'rhin is my friend in the Mantis clan. She is also a pridelander, perhaps you have just never ran into each other! She joined during the festival, as I did."

The ceremony seemed like so long ago, festival of good times, the start of a new journey. Tearh smiled thinking of it. It was a day of new beginnings, here with Murasame, and although they had left the pridelands behind them, she knew deep in her heart she would always hold an immense love for the great green plains of her childhood.

"It was wonderful there, my father though, very protective," she said with a laugh, "Murasame knows, I think he was afraid to tell my father about us at first," she said leaning on Murasame. "But my mother, oh if you ever met her, she was so strong and bold, I love her dearly and hold her strength close to my heart."

Murasame rolled his eyes and leaned back against Tearh, pushing at her playfully, "Yes, her father, could be quite the scary one, much different from my parents. My father and mother, very much in love, very much their own lion selves, were so similar and worked so well together. Tearh's parents, you might not think they were together right away, as both are so bold, perhaps brash, but there is a love there, deep inside, I could see," he said with a nod.

With speaking on the lioness, Murasame shook his head slightly, "I've not met her before either, I think, strange to think we've been here so long and still not met everyone from all the clans. But, perhaps that is just the way for now," he said with a nod.

He smiled at their stories, trying to remember more about his own parents. He couldn't think of anything comparable to them. But that had been... happy. and so, Ahadi was happy. "They sound like quite the figures. In a good way, of course."

"Yes, I suppose you just can't know everyone! She is very shy, that may be why you have not seen her about." He was trying to get Ma'rhin to come out of her shell a bit. But maybe Ahadi wasn't even trying too hard. That would be changing her, and he didn't quite feel it was his place to do such a thing.

"Of course, although my mother, I suspect, had quite a bite and clawed paw when needed," Tearh said with a wink and a laugh. Murasame did not seem enthused. Tearh knew Murasame and her mother were on good terms when they left, but she also knew he need not be reminded of what her mother could do if something were to go not within their plans.

"She should definitely come into the open, or try, little steps, every bit helps," she said with a nod afterwards, "but pushing too hard won't be of help. Has to be on her own terms, with a bit of endearment of course."

"You and making friends, you are always so excited when meeting others, aren't you Tearh?" Murasame asked his mate, and she nodded excitedly. He chuckled and looked back to the golden one, "It would be much easier if we knew everyone, but I guess she would lose her fun of seeing new faces not known before," he laughed.

"And I can't have an unhappy Tearh wouldn't be fun in the den," Tearh smacked him and Murasame shrugged, "What? You'd be all mopey. Don't deny it," Tearh turned her head a little, refusing to make eye contact, but did crack a smile.

"That can certainly come in handy sometimes!" Ahadi had already been told that he might be too easy going. He liked to think if it were really necessary he could protect those he cared about, at least. But admittedly, he wouldn't be the first lion to rely on his bite.

"It is always good to make friends, I agree. I don't think you will ever need to worry about running out of new faces to meet." He grinned. The three of them had come from an enormous pride, he had long accepted he would never know everyone in it.

"True enough, but new faces are what makes new days exciting, sometimes the same faces can get a bit boring," Tearh said playfully sticking her tongue out at Murasame. He did not seem enthused with her statement, and appeared to visually sulk, so she sighed, shook her head and leaned against him. He was better afterwards.

"You must come see us again soon, so we can talk of the old times together, would be nice. I miss my family, we've been trying to ..tame, you could say, an avian to be our companion, to perhaps send messages home."

"Yes, but it has not worked so far. They either fly on, bite or try to claw, or somebody tells them they don't have to stay if they don't wish," Murasame said leaning a little too much on Tearh, but he ceased as soon as she started to wobble. "But just as your friend, you cannot force a situation, things will come in time."

PostPosted: Wed May 30, 2012 7:40 pm

He nodded with a smile. Ahadi was definitely the sort who agreed with the 'meet new people' sentiment, though he might not easily find anyone boring. "I'd be happy to come see you again! I visit Mantis clan whenever it is close enough to Wolf." He nodded happily.

"But I probably should get going to find my friend." He'd still have to look for a while, probably. "An avian... I'm afraid I do not have much experience befriending avians." He chuckled. "I suppose there's ample opportunity to chat with vultures, when they come to wait for kills."

"We will look forward to it then," Tearh said smiling. "Yes, go see her, and also give her our best, if you'd like, let her know there are more friends to be made within the clans," she nodded.

"Vultures, a possibility, but we shall see as we try a few more times. It's been a pleasure my friend," Murasame said with a nod, and slight bow, and he and Tearh began to take their leave. The golden male had brought them smiles and laughter, and thoughts of home.

It had been a good day.
