What sort of roleplays do you all like best? What kind make your blood boil? I'm curious. For bonus points, include exactly why you feel that way.

I guess what I like the best are fantasy / science fiction that with romantic elements to them. Especially Yaoi.

I like action/fantasy/science fiction/adventure/romance roleplays... I'm pretty
much up for anything. I like activity more than anything else, and if I don't get
a reply for two weeks my interest of the roleplay tends to die in a deep hole.

I LOVE being villains. or crazy characters... actually that pretty much sums
up most of my characters, lol.

I also enjoy being "white knights" that are "holier than thou" because they
piss people off one way or another without knowing why and it's funny...

I generally don't like roleplays that are basically dead and on some
occassions people stop by and poke them with a stick to try to make them
live again. I would just ratehr take a break from the roleplay as a group (or
partners) instead of it dying slowly.

Hmm really, I'm up for nearly anything as long as I understand the plot // storyline, and what sort of things would be happening. But, I think I would favour either fantasy or horror. Or sci-fi. I think that may be because they're more.. Interesting, at most points. It holds the possibility of more interesting or unexpected things to happen, more variety in characters, more action, and usually have plots that are more creative. ..Yeah. xDD

I love fantasy, science fiction, action/adventure and even nonfiction (as in possible) roleplays as long as they've got some sort of psychotic, OMFGDIDTHATREALLYJUSTHAPPEN kinda twist. I also dig playing the crazy, over-powered villains and the good guys that are SO going to become the over-powered villain and they just don't know it yet.

But best of all, I love ORIGINAL roleplays. I know there's a saying that goes 'no idea is original', but I really don't think that's the case. Everybody's mind is different. If there's an original thought in your brain, don't ever let it go EVER.

I don't like romance. I don't like sickeningly sweet "Iloveyouyoulovemelet'sbetogetherforever!" kind of roleplays. They suck. They bore me. People aren't like that. They're vindictive and they're twisted and they lie and cheat and steal. And sometimes not always for themselves. I hate those people that insist on playing 'knight-in-shining-armor-can't-do-no-wrong' because that's all they know how to play. Playing a character like that is easy because no thoughts go into that character. Because that character will always do the right thing.

WTF is the right thing anyway? I enjoy those characters that find wallet with five hundred dollars in it on the sidewalk, and then stand there for a few minutes debating to turn it in, because "This could feed my kids for months but GOD this money could be feeding someone else's kids too- but if that's the case ******** were they just carrying it around they obviously have money- No, they could've been heading over to deposit it in their account to make their rent payment for this month when they lost it-" and on and on and on. That internal struggle that happens with every decision that's made in life. That's what makes people human. That's what makes characters believable.

Honestly I like horror fantasy or just plain horror. Scary scary scary!
Not that scary, though, considering what /I/ think scary is.. Meh.
