
Itzcali was flustered. That didn't bode well for the stallion. He'd been happily on his own since his rendezvous with Azamaria. He'd managed to stay out of his children's lives but he kept tabs on both his daughters. He just wasn't the fatherly type to stick his nose into others' lives. That practice stuck as his daughters grew into beautiful mares. If one wanted to seek him out that would be a change.
For now he contentedly grazed in silence. The sun was shining down, warming his flank, as his thoughts wandered. His attention was mostly focused on the task at hand. It would be easy enough for him to be startled at this moment. His ears constantly took in the sounds around him but that didn't guarantee safety.
