I will teach you the basics, give information, etc. and answer questions about anything paranormal EXCEPT DEMONS. For demons, please find the Demonology 101 thread. Treat this like a Q&A with discussion. I don't know everything, and what I don't know I will research to find an answer for you.

I know there is a one and million different definitions of paranormal but what do you consider paranormal? I've got several questions but i have to ask them in order because they depend on the answers....
Also would you consider premonitions/an Alternate Personal that doesn't exist in this world but in other planes of existence?

Kim K J Riku Ready for my first lesson, Captain Rogan-Hawk! So. Tell me about poltergeists.
Poltergeists are not what people believe, thanks to the popular movie of the same name. Poltergeists are actually people with some sort of psychic abilities. They don't know they have these abilities and supress them. They might never know, if not for the strange occurences. These occurences happen when said individual is making drastic changes in their life and/or are under emotional strain. This could be from a divorce, a marriage where step children are inherited, job loss and accumulated debt, etc.
Once this person realizes - usually with outside help - that it is for this reason that the activity is happening, they can begin to take steps to help themselves. These steps usually include realizing their ability - more often than not premonitions - and learning about it, reducing their stress, and making a fresh, more positive start.

I'm not quite sure what you are asking, so I will answer to the best of my ability.
Paranormal is anything of or pertaining to the claimed occurrence of an event or perception without scientific explanation, such as psychokinesis, extrasensory perception, or other purportedly supernatural phenomena. This blanket term includes spirits, ghosts, hauntings, posessions, demons, angels, psychics, etc.
Premonitions are commonly referred to as clairvoyance and fall under that term as well. An alternate persona (or perhaps you were meaning "alternate personality"?) that exists in another plane could be from the influence of paranormal entities, and would therefore be labeled paranormal and not a medical condition of the mind (such as schizophrenia). I would have to know more about that to make a judgement.

Okay.....onto my next question. There's me Crystal that exists during the day then at night its like i'm somebody else in my dreams. I've been having these awful dreams that are surprisingly realistic. If i get a bruise in my dreams i get it on my physical body as well. And it is an alternate persona because i'm still there mentally i'm just not able to do anything, "Alice" is though.....does that help?
Also, I have these feelings before something really bad happens and i'm more sensitive to other beings. There was a time that i thought i was a slayer kinda like buffy but i dealt with things more with magic than with vampires and lycans and werewolves.

There are theories about people who have dreams about themselves in an alternate reality. Another theory is that these dreams are entirely symbolic and maybe even somewhat clairvoyant. The injuries could be a result of any number of things - sleep walking during such clairvoyant dreams and causing injury without waking, supernatural entities attacking or inhabiting your body and projecting their physical trauma on to you, or simply injuring yourself during the day and not noticing.
There are many possibilities, but we can never know for sure. I recomend contacting a psychic or sensitive to investigate the injuries, keeping a dream journal to record dreams (in detail immediately after waking), and interpreting your dreams with the help of dream symbol dictionaries adn psychic/sensitives.
I researched as thoroughly as I could. I'm sorry it took so long to research. Hope this helps!

So Captain I have another question. Would you consider people who are psychic, telepathic, telekinetic, etc as part of the paranormal group?

The paranormal is defined as "...beyond the range of normal experience or scientific explanation: such paranormal phenomena as telepathy; a medium's paranormal powers." So, as your above example is outside the realm of scientific explaination, I would say yes.

Okay. On to my next question. They say that we only use 5 percent of our brains at one time....i think that those certain psychics etc are actually integrating certain areas of their brains to have a higher percent of brain usage. What do you think about that?
