Rhys busied himself in the kitchen, school was coming to an end for the summer which meant less work and more time for the students go about their own things. Unfortunately for Rhys that meant more time to socialize with his peers, something he wasn't very good at he'd have much rather preferred taking his time up with schoolwork rather then yearbook signing. Somehow the school coming to an end also meant it was becoming harder and harder to skip outs on the parts of school he didn't care for, so for now he was making himself some coffee and considering stealing some of the pastries that tended to be on hand in the kitchen.A crash from the garage pulled a small smile to his lips, Tek was out separating the recycling from the sounds of it.
Tek let out a small mental giggle as xe tossed a glass bottle into the small green container, peering over the side the little fiend looked over the wealth of glass pieces within. Xe'd taken up separating the recyclables sometime ago when xe'd realized that the glass broken into such interesting shapes; some of which went on to become pieces of xyrs art.
Crash - another bottle went into the bin.
Movement out of the corner of his eye caught Tek's attention. Making a small circle the little fiend's eyes went wide. In the shadow trail that xe'd left behind there was a small creature. Tek dropped down immediately to look to the blobby bit of shadow, xyrs eyes trailed toward the now disappearing trail of shadow stuff and then to the creature.

Rhys wrapped his long fingers around the warm coffee mug before moving toward the garage, "Tek are you almost done? I want to head upstairs."
Tek jerked xyrs head over toward the open door to the kitchen and tried to use one of xyrs tail shadow tentacles to cover up the odd little shadow creature that had appeared. Tek stood up as tall as xe could as Rhys came to the door, looking more then a little suspicious as he attempted to cover up the small bit of living shadow.
Rhys watched the fiend a moment, if his stance hadn't already given him away the wave of anxiety coming from Tek would have. "What's going on?"
The little fiend winced visibly but then xyrs eyes widened, the little bit of shadow xe'd been trying to cover had been struggling to get free on it's own, but now Tek could feel not one but two creatures. It wasn't over xe realized, xe was still multiplying! How was xe going to explain it to Rhys, Tek pondered a moment considering and then xe knew when this had happened. Xe'd kissed Nepherite, it was her fault, she'd done this to him! As the thought hit xem the new shadow creature got free of his tentacle and ran out into the middle of the garage.
Rhys had been standing and waiting, he could feel the anxiety rising in Tek as he watched. His attention flickered toward the moving shadow thing in the middle of the floor taking a step down Rhys tried to get a better look thinking at first that it might be another wisp or something.
"Tek? What is it?" Rhys stopped realizing it was something he'd not seen before before turning to Tek looking concerned and a bit worried.
Tek flailed a little when Rhys had seen the new one and darted over splitting xyrs tail in two and attempted to cover the shadow with one of xyrs tail tentacles. Of course when xe moved that let the first shadow creature loose as it attempted to dart off Tek stretched and now angled oddly xe sat with a tentacle over each of the little shadows. Realizing xe hadn't said anything to Rhys Tek cleared xyrs mental voice before speaking, they're our babies!

"What do you mean your babies..." Rhys looked to Tek with disbelief as he spoke, "you can't have babies...I mean you can't - right?" Rhys gaze drifted over toward the chubbier of the shadow imps that had found it's way out from under Tek's tentacle again.
We didn't know we could! Tek reached over and scooped up the chubby little shadow imp that was trying to dart off clutching the creature close to xyrs chest.
Rhys sighed a little, "why do you think these are your babies?" If this sort of thing happened to fiends he reasoned he'd have already heard about it, afterall Merci had been caring for Dio for quite a long time.
It's Neph's fault! She gave them to us. Tek nodded a little and pet the little imp in his arms.
Rhys winced again at the implications of it all and yet he knew that Tek wasn't thinking anything overly horrible about how it had happened. "Yeah I still don't think that's possible...let me get a look at one." He reached out attempting to take the imp that Tek was coddling.
Tek pulled back reluctantly but after a moment relaxed, just be careful with Allie.
"Allie?" Rhys took the little imp in his hands looking the plump bit of squiggley shadow over critically.
That's her name obviously.
"Tek I'm not sure you should start naming them..."

But they are our children! Of course we should name them. Tek's mind voice held a touch of annoyance as xe spoke. Tek continued petting the odd little shadow creature with crooked wings that xe'd pinned with the name, 'Allie' xyrs three green eyes fixated on xyrs guardian.
"Well you don't just have babies from kissing someone..." Rhys sighed deeply pinching the bridge of his nose, part of him wondered at what point in his life this whole scenario became a reality.
Then how do you have them, tell me that! From Tek's tone it was obvious that the little fiend was pretty sure that Rhys didn't know the answer.
Rhys eye twitched, it had never occurred to him what Tek actually did and did not know and he didn't want to explain where babies came from to the shadow.
CRASH! KRACK!
Rhys motorcycle toppled over, while Tek and Rhys had been speaking the other shadow imp that wasn't being held captive by Tek had wandered off, and found Rhys nearby sitting bike. Rhys and Tek called out in unison...
"My bike!"
My baby!
Rhys hurried over and leaned down pulling his bike up, Tek moved up leaning down to peer under the bike as he did. From under the bike two pairs of odd empty eyes watched him.
Bambi's alright! And We had another. Tek spoke matter of factly toward Rhys before reaching out to try and scoop up the other two shadow imps.
Rhys ran his hand over his bike, wincing a little as he came across the broken side mirror, "what do you mean you had ano-" cutting off he frowned noting the new shadow imp, the new imp was larger then the other two about the size of a small cat, but it looked nothing like a cat as odd shadowy spikes covered it's back and it's head was topped with spiraling horns.
"You didn't have another, you weren't anywhere near that thing when it appeared," Rhys shifted a little away from Tek and xyrs babies, watching the growing number of shadow creatures with unease.
