This was something Calcifer had never thought she would see in her lifetime, the city. It was far off from where she lived on the river, but she was finally able to trek her way over here with her father along for the journey. He however, had no interest in going inside the city itself, and remained on the outskirts to wait for Calci to return after getting some supplies that she had been needing, clothing, hair supplies, perhaps some soaps, or maybe a new toy. Things she really didn't need when she was a pokemon that she needed now.
Right now she was wandering around what seemed to be a farmers market. Vegetables and fruits from out in the country lined up in pretty display for the people of this concrete and metal jungle to come and buy. These were things she could get much easier where she lived, but she couldn't really find her way around. All the shops seemed the same to her. Perhaps she was on the wrong side of the city, but she didn't want to go all the way there only to get lost and not be able to find the way back to her father. All the people seemed so busy that she didn't want to stop anyone to ask them directions either, so she just wandered from stand to stand, wondering what she should do next.

It was a beautiful sunny day. The perfect day to get some shopping done. Carwyn had been sent out again on shopping duty. He did not mind. The Drapion did enjoy being with others and he was not afraid in the slightest of large crowds or people talking to him or asking any sort of question. It was not that he fully enjoyed the attention or praise but he was not afraid or shy of it.
So walking with full confidence and a sway to his movements the bright Drapion made his way along the stalls of the farmer's market. He was dressed much more feminine than normal. He had on a pair of bright capris that were covered by a long loose shirt that as always had sleeves that were to look and covered his hands fully. His thick tail carried two bags that were both partially full already with things he had already bought. He was nothing but smiles. And why shouldn't he be? He was simply glancing around at the stalls when he noticed another strange child. He could tell by their skin that it was another Pokechild like him. His smile grew even wider and he made his way over towards the other one. "Your looking a bit lost there. Can I be of any help?"

Calcifer turned at being spoken to, or at least she was assuming she was being spoken to. It could have been her overhearing a conversation again. She could tell as soon as she saw the...girl? Were they a girl? It was hard to tell, but she could tell it was a pokechild, which made her feel more at ease.
"Oh! Ummm...yes if you could..." she said, rather embarrassingly. "I've never been to the city before, and I'm in need of doing some clothes shopping," she said with a light laugh. "I got all turned around and I have no way of figuring out of where to go..."

Carwyn smiled brightly at the other Pokechild as she mentioned that she was clothing shopping. It just so happened that he needed to pick some thinks of for some of the girls back home. He was sometimes shocked at how much of the same items he had to get for them. "Oh well that is just prefect." he as warmly his voice as his appearance was hard to place a gender to. He offered a long sleeved covered arm to Calcifer who, based on the fact that every other Pokechild he had met being male, thought was male, "Allow me to escort you to some clothing shops. What type do you prefer to wear so I might best be able to get you to the right shop?" He asked his pretty face nothing but smiles and genuine friendliness. "Yes the market place and city can be a bit hard to get use too. But don't you worry I don't mind being your guide for the day. My name is Carwyn by the way. It is a pleasure to meet you."

Calcifer liked this girl, or at least she was pretty sure they were a girl. Well, whatever the gender, they were super nice.
"Oh, well it's very nice to meet you Carwyn!" as she somewhat auto hooked her arm around the one that was offered. "My name is Calcifer!"
She had to pause for a moment to think of what kind of chothing she liked. "Well, I like piratey things, so poofy shirts....ooo and vests! I like those. Ummm Skirts or pants are good either way, and belts are always fun!" she said, though the more she explained things the more expensive the whole thing sounded.
"Well, really any kind of clothing will do though...I don't make a lot of money helping people down the river, so I really should just get what I can afford..." She paused, what did her father call it. Oh right. "I'm onna...budge-eet" she said. That word sounded wrong, but it was close enough to get the point across, right?

Carwyn started to guide them away from the farmer's market and more towards the down. "The pleasure is all mine Calcifer. What a handsome name Calcifer is." He said warmly and friendly his bright eyes smiling just as much as his mouth. He loved with other's willingly touch and stayed close to him. He was sure that like most the Poke-child on his arm though he was most likely a girl. Not that he minded he always found it most amusing. Though for the first time Carwyn did not at once pick up on the gender of his current companion. For right now he was sure that the other child on his arm was a male like himself.
The Drapion listened to her list off the types of clothes she was into with his full attention. "Oh sounds like a rather fun way to dress. It is good to be willing to wear both skirts and pants it broadens what you can wear." He smiled and nods, "Oh no worries I know lots of cheap places to go too as well. So I am sure we can find everything you wish." He smiled at her a charming one as he led her threw the streets towards a second hand shop. One of those shops that really did have everything you were looking for and them some. "We might even be able to find an eye patch in here." he laughed and opened the door. "Don't worry even though some of the stuff in here is used it is of a good quality and they do have unused things too. If we don't find anything in here I know lots of other good shops near by."

Handsome? She had never had anything called handsome before. Cute, adorable, but not handsome. She giggled a bit, liking the sound of it. "Thank you!" she said.
She nodded at Carwyn's comment. "I know, right? I don't see why people are so adamant wanting to wear only pants or only skirts. Takes the fun out of wearing clothes if you won't wear both..." she mused. She looked around at all the different buildings. The city sure was interesting.
Once they got to the second hand shop, Calcifer disconnected herself from Carwyn to peek at a plaid skirt that immediately caught her eye, though she made sure not to wander far away from her guide. "Oh, I don't mind if they're used, they're new to me, and that's all that matters!" She frowned at the skirt. It was for a grown up and thus much to big for her to wear.

Carwyn gave a nod of his head and smiled, "Anytime Calcifer." He laughed a bit at her agreeing with him and also the way she looked around the building around them. He wondered if this was in fact her first time in the big city. "People should not judge on what another wears. People should wear what makes them feel good. Oh is this your first time in the city Calcifer?"
He followed her into the shore having held open the door for her then looked around. "Hmm...well we can check the children's section first if you want. I think it is in the back." He laughed and held up his arms, "Though I normally buy large." he giggled and shook the extra sleeves that spilled over his hands. "Oh wait there are belts over here!" he reached out and took up the female pokechild's hand with his covered one and pulled her towards a rack of nothing but belts and suspenders.

Belts! Belts were always fun, and easier to make them fit you, so she was glad they had moved over to that section. She looked at a few of them, picking them up and giving them a good looking at before she picked up a pair of suspenders.
"This is a weird looking belt..." she said out loud. She had never really seen anyone wear them before, so it looked like a strange belt with clips. "How on earth do you put this thing on?"

Carwyn smiled at her excitement and when she pulled out a pair of suspenders he watched her for a moment with them trying to remember where he had seen them. Then he nods, "Oh I know how you put it on. You clip them to the back and then pull them over your shoulders to the front of your pants. I don't think it would be very comfortable pulling on the pants so high. "Shall I help you try them on? Maybe it would pull to high." he giggled moving closer to her and holding out his covered hands.
